You don't draft a guard in the 1st ... or do you?
ndirish1978 replied to Thurman#1's topic in The Stadium Wall
IMO there is one major factor you're missing here. That's the first round ability to keep someone on a 5th year option. From a cap perspective you want to use that tool on a premium skill position where you can keep what would be a more expensive player for less and for longer. With prices going through the roof for WRs and CBs, you benefit from that 5th year option, especially for non top-10 picks. Here is an primer from https://frontofficenfl.com/2017/03/27/nfl-rookie-contracts-explained-fifth-year-option/ I'd rather use that 5th year option on a CB, DE or WR rather than a G because I think it results in a better deal for the team in regards to money allocated towards a position. -
The Athletic - Bills and Sabres News - Subscription Help
ndirish1978 replied to ndirish1978's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm unaware of this, could you please say more? -
Agreed but his RAS score is pretty high so I don't see his athleticism being an issue.

Mods, feel free to move this if you want, I just figured I'd try and help board members save some money as I know a lot pay for a subscription to the Athletic. The website just increased prices to $72/yr. But, if you click on cancel you will be offered a promo to only pay $22 for the year. I am posting this now since I just went to cancel my sub and figured this out, thought I would pass it on. Hope it helps some of you.

Cole Strange in Rd isn't a sleeper but I like him a lot as a middle rd pick. John Ridgeway is a massive 1 tech that should be available around Rd 5. Tyquan Thornton is a speedster with good RAC ability and Matt Hankins is a Cb who was snubbed for the combine but looks good to me as a later rd pick.

Should just be a straight monthly price, probably about 15/month. I don't want to see some stupid tiered system, it's not 2000, if you don't make it easily available people will just get it online other ways.

Looked fake in the US version. I don't watch those dumb shows, I just saw the clips on twitter. If it's real Rock should sue him for assault. Pathetic.

Might want to try thedraftnetwork for Mocks Yolo, Taylor-Britt in the 6th shows the team needs and big board on that site aren't the best.

Brady tried to engineer his way to Miami: TAMPERING!
ndirish1978 replied to Zerovoltz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Players are signing in TB because of him, ridiculous article and zero chance it's real. -
Spin the bottle? In all seriousness with 1000s it's difficult to have a ton of interaction, but I've had fun at events where the crowd does some sort of competition (shooting baskets, playing video games, etc.) and the winner of a tournament style challenge gets to challenge a special guest. Something like the Jordan Poyer golf simulator challenge or Shoot 3s vs Dawkins. Wish you the best.

If Olave is the pick I would want to sign James Bradberry then draft Gordon, McCreary, Woolen in the 2nd or one of the CBs regarded to go in the 3rd like Taylor-Britt or Alonte Taylor.

Oh no, that one guy on the board will be very sad

Tyreek seeking a trade [Now: Traded to the Dolphins]
ndirish1978 replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Disagree with you only because these are big YAC receivers. A good QB would make this team excellent. a halfway decent QB still makes a good team. -

Good team down in MIA. They are a QB away from being a big problem. Bradberry becomes a bigger need now. -
You sign Bradberry when he gets inevitably cut by the Giants.

Don't forget Beane in his press conference said they were just under with his calculation but he wasn't sure of what had already been reported as a done deal, so this and the 2 QB moves were likely already factored into that comment. I would say there are maybe 7 solid day 1 starters and probably 4-5 of them will be gone before 25. 6-7 are solid players with size limitations (sub 6 footers). I think there are good CBs available all the way through Rd 3 who could turn into really good players, but those are more projections and we'd likely be better served starting Dane Jackson over them immediately, so they present an immediate help. Rd 1 probables: Stingley, Gardner, McDuffie, Booth, Elam Rd 1 probables: Gordon, McCreary Several people I follow on Twitter agree with this reading of the tea leaves. If we can do it, I would. Nothing wrong with having a Rd 1-2 rookie play CB2 for a couple weeks if needed to spell Tre while coming back from injury. I just want him to be solid for the post-season and going forward.

Whaley is not a leader of men. He was good in charge of pro scouting, but that's as high as he should ever get.

Puntapalooza 2022 - The Thread Everyone Has Been Waiting For
ndirish1978 replied to ndirish1978's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's why I like Stout a little more for us, he's a bit better at directional punting. I don't know why people turn their noses up at punters, they are legit weapons in controlling field position. -

Don't really care. 20+ accusations is enough to tell me that it's more likely than not that he is not a person I want to root for. Do you know how hard it is to get a criminal conviction for a crime with no physical evidence and based mostly on anecdotal evidence, I doubt it.
