Hey guys, I know I'll probably get flamed for posting with no link or anything but everyone here knows I've been at ND for undergrad and again now for law school, so hopefully you will consider me credible. I was walking back to my car from the gym on thursday. I have to walk past the "Gug" center for football players on the way to parking from the gym. Anyway, I'm walking next to two guys, I look at the duffelbag one of them is holding and it's a Clevland Browns bag. Turns out they were actually scouts. No incredible revelations came from our small-talk but i did think it was interesting that they were incredibly tight-lipped about who they were on campus to see. I busted their balls a bit, telling them to enjoy Brady next year and they made a point of being very cagey with all their answers, refusing to admit he was the reason the were on campus. Anyway, I'm not claiming to have any inside knowledge that they are going with Quinn, I just figured i'd report the sighting since I haven't seen any website mention they were here looking at players. Makes sense though. Quinn is a hometown boy from Dublin, Ohio. Draftig him would give them a posterboy for the organization because of his local ties. Add to that Crennel's relationship with Weis and I think he goes to the Browns. Just some thoughts!

I don't see the harm bringing him in at the vet minimum. Worst case we cut him, best case he regains his old form and we have a dual threat back.

Brown is good. If he can stay healthy I'm comfortable with him as 1a with Thomas at 1b. Take Bush in rd 2 as a RB for the future, but Brown is young so don't be surprised if we dont take a RB til the later rounds

I dunno, I guess I'm still not convinced that Marv and the front office are all that worried about improving at CB. I don't think they do cb til the 3rd rd. We don't know what we have in Youbooty, I think they believe McGee is good enough to start and Kilwaukee Thomas can start ont he other side until Youbooty is ready. At DT I do think they are hesitant to grab another one in the first because they expect bog things from McCargo. I don't. He got injured in Week 6, yet he still only had 7 tackles! I don't call myself an expert on Dts but I don't think 1 tackle a game average is all that good. Spikes won't be around on draft day, so we will need at least 2-3 Lbs. I say we go Lynch in the 1st, trade back into the first and pick up an OLB in Pos. Why? Because Marv already stated publicly that Crowell is the new MLB. I don't have a problem with Ellison starting, I think he could be agood player if he just bulks up. We need a nasty guy at OLB who attacks the line and Pos fits the bill.

I gotta believe we go RB in the 1st rd. i don't think we needit but I think our coaching staff likes Lynch. Maybe I could see us going D if Okoye is there, but as we've seen, Marv and Co. take their guy and aren't swayed at all by the draft pundits. Peterson or Lynch in the 1st unless Okoye is there and even then I think they are counting on McCargo to step up and play like a 1st rder.

Simonton was the best back in NFL Europe a couple years ago, leading the league in all-purpose yards. He's not even on the roster here.
