  1. Henry gave us stability at RB for the 02 and 03 seasons. There were many times when he had me out of my seat cheerin at the Ralph. He was tough as hell and gave it his all every game, there is no denying that. I appreciate Travis's hardwork, effort and the way he handled the whole situation last year. He was and still is a very productive 2nd round draft pick and I wish the guy the best luck in w/e his future holds.
  2. Another thing I believe. When Donahoe decided to let Winfield walk last year he had a decision to make. Do we lock up Winfield and let Nate walk when his contract is up, or do we let Winfield walk and lock Nate up long term? There is no way we were going to ever have the money to sign the both of them and since we let Antoine leave I think it's even more evidence that we will be investing some big bucks in Nate.
  3. Who's to say we won't get a deal done with Hate this offseason? And even if we don't we could always use the franchise tag if we think we need him that badly. I just think all this talk abotu trading him this eyar or losing him next year is false. Clements just had his best year with us and he's still young. I don't think we'll just lose him for nothing after next year. Worst case scenario is that we designate him with ohne of the two tags and work out a trade. Donahoe's too good to just let that type of talent walk without getting anything.
  4. how do u know donahoe was there?
  5. I'm a student at UB and maybe checking them out. I think I heard tickets are $15 for all 3 games that will be played tomorrow, not bad at all. Plus I have a friends that plays on Iona. Just wanted to know if any other locals may be checking the games out. There hasn't been much of any sports in that arena this year so it'll kinda be cool to go down theer and watch soem bball.
  6. Anthony Henry's career stats Looks like he had an awesome rookie year followed by 2 average seasons and then last year had a decent/ above average type season. Looking at it now his numbers aren't too shabby, but I still think that's a big investment by the Cowboys.
  7. Cowboys | Henry Contract Update - from www.KFFL.com Wed, 2 Mar 2005 17:42:35 -0800 Updating an earlier story, Len Pasquarelli, of ESPN.com, reports the Dallas Cowboys will pay CB Anthony Henry a signing bonus of $10 million, as he recently agreed to terms with the club. Complete financial details were undisclosed. Anthony Henry's Signing Bonus Its about 1/3 the way down the page. You wanna talk about corners getting paid top dollars these days. What exactly has this guy done to deserve that type of bonus. If I remember correctly he has picked off a lotta balls but no way he's worth that type of bonus. Even makes me more nervous that TD will never pony up the money Nate Clements will be looking for next season. If Henry is worth a $10 million SB, Clements could easily fetch $15-$20 next year, teams will be salvating for the services of a corner like Nate......yikes!
  8. You can get tickets at a fairly reeasonable price $10-12 I believe, not a bad price at all to watch a quality college basketball game
  9. Drew's getting a 3 year contract worth $14 million and a $2 million dollar signing bonus. His first year base salary is $2 million and the article I read said it's mostly backloaded so I'd guess the second yera he'll count for 3-4 million My Webpage
  10. Good win indeed. That Ohio game on the road isn't a gimme. Ohio has a decent record in the MAC too, and beat us at UB a month ago. I would expect the Bulls to dominate the final home game of the year (senior night) vs. a very good Akron team, a lot like last years final home game vs. Kent St. Go Bulls!
  11. In your salry cap page you say you assume the bills will pick up the options on both lee evans and jp losman. What exactly do you mean? Is this what would get us to ahve them for 5 year deals instead of 4?
  12. I'd rather see them go after Marcus Pollard myself
  13. That starting lineup you have though would be an awesome line up to have going into opening day!!!
  14. No way we have the cap room to sign all of those guys though. With the cuts you listed we would probably have just enough room to sign 2 of those 4 guys. No way we can get a big name C and G in Free Agency on top of resigning Pat and getting Bubba. I think it's more probable that TD and company sign a decent FA guard and then make the decision whether they want to go after a FA TE or resign Pat. The only way we could get all three of these Guys (Guard, Big Pat and a TE (Pollard or Franks) is if we get soem of our own guys to restructure cough Mike Williams cough comes to mind. I just don't see bug Mike taking a pay cut tho, the guy seems to be all about the moeny according to soem of the articles written about him.
  15. You make a good point. If we are about $9 million or so under the cap we may need to figure out the o-line needs before we can go out and get some one else. If we signed Bubba Franks to a deal he would probably count anywhere from $2.5-4 million against the cap in '05, which would leave us with $5-6.5 million left. Is that enough to sign a LT and all of our other needs, probably not. But as it stands Bubba is on the market for the next 7 days (I believe thats how the transition tag works), so if we can work out a deal for Shelton or another LT within the first couple of days of FA we would have a shot to seriously consider making an offer to Franks.
  16. yea i kinda agree with you there FFS, but who's to say the TE's we have on our roster now are for the long term, especially if they don't recover well from the knee injuries. I think Euhus will be a good player for us, but that's just what I think. I also think it would be a big mistake to not make a serious attemot to acquire Bubba. He's a good blocker which would help the line and he'd be a huge addition to our red zone offense. Especially with Losman moving out of the pocket on pass options, I believe Franks would be a great option.
  17. My bad, I didnt read the article before I asked about the compensation If they opted not to match, the Packers would receive no compensation from the club that signed Franks. -from the article This is definitely an interseting option for Donahoe and company to look into. Green Bay has a lot of other free agents particularly on their o-line so if we give him a contract a little above what GB is willing to pay we could land ourselves a pretty productive pass catching TE. I think a 4 year deal worth $8-10 million and a $3-5 million signing bonus would be fair
  18. Not sure if anyone else posted it, but My Webpage What would we have to give up to sign him away from Green Bay, anyone know? If it involves giving up any type of draft picks higher than a 3 or 4 I'd say know, if we can get him for less tho it should be explored.
  19. what is the date that all franchise tags need to be desognated by, March 1?
  20. I still think the reason you haven't heard any talks about the Bills asking MW to restructure is because that cap hit is not true. There is no way we are paying that guy over $9 million next season. He's worth half of that, $5 million at best.
  21. I still find it hard to believe that there is a possibility Mike Williams cap hit this season could be $9+ million. How could the Bills organization ever construct a contract that even enabled the possibility for a RT to make $9 million for one season? Exactly that's why I'm not buying it. The elite left tackles in the game ala Walter Jones don't even have cap figures this large. If this is true, the Bills need to look at what type of escalators there putting into the contracts because $9 million is way too much for a guy who still hasnt proved he can play LT or even dominate at the RT position thus far. For $9 million we could get a decent tackle and a stud guard (Shelton, and Rivera, DeMulling, or Mayberry). I know that would never happen, but I'm just saying that to show how that big of a contract will prevent us from going out and getting key FA's. Also if this increase is due to escalators, what were the escalators has he achieved? He hasn't played a down at LT, nor has he made the Pro Bowl. I can't imagine that an escalator would simply be games started. Basically I really hope all of this is false because if we do owe him that type of money it's absolutely ludicrous and will it will prevent us from upgrading in other areas. Big Mike better take a big pay cut if it is true, but like I said I won't believe this cap hit until its actually put out or mentioned by the Bills.
  22. picked off on the final drive that woulda tied the game. what a surprise! And he took a sack on the play before.
  23. truly disturbing, worst nightmare scenario
  24. go bulls
