  1. The line has moved, as the Bengals are now a 2.5 point favorite. Was a 'pick em.
  2. Opening line is a pick. I expect the early money to pour in on the Bengals. If Sammy and karlos come back I like our chances. I think our defense matches up well vs. their offense. Gio Bernard out of the backfield as a receiver is a major concern of mine, though. Brady and Eli, our last two home opponent qbs are superior to Andy Dalton.....and I'm optimistic our D can frustrate Dalton
  3. Down here for the Bills game. Just saw the Edmonton Oilers team bus pull up to the Sheraton. Thought it'd be cool if I could catch the Bills coming in today. Anyone have any Intel on what hotel the Bills are at in Nashville?
  4. I'm at the games myself and don't know exactly what your talking about. I know the bell they play when the Bills are on defense ( more like the ringing of a bell at the start of a boxing match). That bell noise is actually very effective as it gets the crowd noisy when you want them noisy. I believe you're talking about another bell sound though.
  5. http://506sports.com/ Spero Dedes and Solomon Wilcots for the Bills game
  6. Yards per play is the most important statistic to keep track of to determine how successful an offense is, IMO. So I'll be keeping a close eye on the Buffalo Bills offensive yards per play. Last year the Bills ranked 27th in the league at 5.0 yards per play. For comparisons sake the worst team was the Raiders at 4.5 yards/play and the best was the Packers at 6.2 yards/play. I think is the Bills can be a "middle of the pack" type of offense they can be a playoff team.....and last year middle of the pack was in the 5.3-5.4 yards/play. So I'm hoping the Bills can stay north of 5.4 yards per play. It's a number that I hope they can reach, but don't think they'll be able to achieve due to their horrendous QB's (to be quite honest).
  7. He was the 2nd rated OG according to profootballfocus.com.......rated only behind Marshal Yanda. He's old, but he'd be a major upgrade for us this season and maybe the next. He's looking for big money though and the Bills are up against the cap as it is. With a bunch of their own guys up in FA next year I'm not sure the Bills have the cap space to squeeze Evan Mathis in. Couple that with he way the staff has been raving about John Miller and I just don't see it happening. Would be a major upgrade though.
  8. I think the point is......it should be made available both on the internet and on DirecTV for those that pay the cost Sunday Ticket charges. I have Sunday Ticket. I'd much prefer to walk down my stairs, put the TV on at 9:30 AM and watch the Bills on my 65" HDTV. Instead, I will have to get the game up on my laptop.....hook the laptop up to the t.v. and watch the game at what will surely be a much lower quality picture. I'll also have to deal with all of the interruptions via internet connections, that Yahoo will surely encounter in what is essentially a guinea pig trial for them. Now, for those that don't pay for Sunday Ticket, great, you can watcht he Bills games. For those that plunk down hundred of $'s to see "Every game, Every Sunday", though, not quite fair IMO. Give us both options, don't force me to watch it through Yahoo's live stream, when I pay big bucks to watch it through DirecTV's satellite feed.
  9. No he wasn't. In fact, it was pointed out by one of the coaches in an interview a month or so ago, that Cordy came into camp in very good condition. To answer the topics original question, no. Cordy Glenn is the Bills best OL. He will be a starter.
  10. Spoiler alert: J.J.Watt is #1 on that list and it's by a wide margin. Watt graded out with a +107.5, nearly doubling the grade of the player who ranks #2 on profootballfocus.com's list............Buffalo's own........Khalil Mack, with a +55.3. Mario Williams is not on the list. He graded out with a +16.1. Kyle Williams w/ a +20.2. Marcell w/ a +25.6. Marcell is the highest graded Buffalo Bill on profootballfocus.com, which means there will be no more Buffalo Bills on the list.
  11. Leroi, were the Bills high on Jeff Heuerman. I got the feeling, after listening to John Murphy, that he was one of their possible targets in the 3rd round. Also any hints as to who the target was for the attempted trade up into the 4th round? The DE from Kentucky, Za'Darius Smith, seems logical, am i hot!?
  12. I'm curious too. After looking at every pick of the 4th round....I was thinking one of the OL, possibly one of the DL. Guys that stood out: TJ Clemmings Tre Jackson Trey Flowers Za'Darius Smith
  13. No GM is pulling the trigger on La'el Collins in the 1st round when he is being questioned in the murder of a woman who may have been carrying his baby. Even if he is not a suspect, that does not mean he can't become one later. The fact that police want to question him, certainly does not help his cause. Unless police come out and say he has no connection what so ever to the murder investigation by tomorrow, there is no chance what so ever of him going in the 1st round. If there is no updated news on his status come Friday, his name will not be called on Friday either.
  14. Might as well sandwich the Tennessee vs Georgia game in Knoxville on Saturday while you're at it. 3 games in 3 days, that'd be quite the weekend.
  15. I started out really liking Joe B, particularly for his draft coverage. Outside of draft season though, his schtick started to get a little lame, IMO. I don't love Sal, but I also don't hate him. I appreciate his energy and his positive energy, but he certainly has room for improvement, as most of us do. I will say Matthew Coller is very articualte, and makes many great points that are original. I like what he brings to the listening experience a lot.
  16. I'd be pretty pissed to see the Bills trading away next years 2nd rounder in a move up scenario. I can't say I couldn't see the Bills brass pulling such a stunt, but until we have a bona fide QB on this roster I don't want to trade away any assets that could help in our journey to finally find one.
  17. I like: DL, Miss St., Preston Smith (2nd rounder), DL, Iowa, Louis Trinca-Pasat (late rounder) Trinca-Pasat, although not as strong as Kyle Williams reminds me a lot of him coming out of college. Similar statures and both high hustle guys. I don't like: DE, LSU, Danielle Hunter. Watching his tape, I see an athletic looking freak who is always blocked, slow off the snap, and bad at diagnosing the play in front of him. Just doesn't seem to have any instincts at all.
  18. Wisniewski is probably going to get a deal in excess of $6M/year, and I don't think the Bills are spending that type of money at this point in FA. They have to keep an eye on next year w/ the likes of Dareus, Gilmore, Glenn and Bradham on expiring contracts. I think their big spending in FA has probably concluded.
  19. Add to that John Murphy stopping just short of saying Brandon Spikes will not be back with the Bills on his radio show tonight. Yet, another sign that the Bills have turned the page on Spikes. I would've loved to have him back on a $2-$3M deal, but it seems the Bills think they can replace his production with a cheaper salary.
  20. Twitter: Stevie's about to sign w/ the Patriots Reality: Stevie's agent has seen 2 offers. 1 from the Pats and 1 from the Chargers. The Chargers offer is stronger, but he knows he might be able to squeeze SD for a little more loot by having the headlines read that Stevie is about to sign with NE. Might be able to get and extra 250k out of them. I fully expect him to choose SD come tomorrow.
  21. This link is a great resource to better understand how compensatory picks are awarded: http://overthecap.com/projecting-the-compensatory-draft-picks-for-2015/ Based on the link above the contracts received by our own FA's that have signed elsewhere will likely result in the following draft pick: DaNorris Searcy: 5th Round Pick CJ Spiller: 5th/6th Round Pick Lee Smith: 6th Round Pick Erik Pears: 7th Round Pick. Possibly nothing only if his contract is for the league minimum and he barely plays next year. As of now I think the signing of Tyrod Taylor and Jerome Felton will cancel out the losses of Lee Smith and Erik Pears. So my best guess as of now is that we have 2 comp picks in 2016, a 5th rounder and a 5th/6th rounder. I am not sure if Charles Clay counts as a FA signed due to his transition tag situation. I believe he will, but I'm not sure, if anyone knows please let us know. Brandon Spikes and Chris Hairston are still on the market and if they are signed by other teams could add to the Bills comp. pick for 2016. I do hope the Bills have a net loos of FA's this year so that we can at least cash in on one of those 5th round picks. As much as I liked the signing of Brandon Spikes last year, it cost us a 3rd round compensatory pick this year. Jairus Byrd would've qualified us for a 3rd rounder, but the Spikes signing didn't allow for the Bills to have a net loss of FA's last year, thus no comp. pick. Big picure, that's a pick I really wish the Bills had in this years draft. Let's hope they smarten up. Lastly, another reason I like 1 year "prove it" deals in FA (see: Percy Harvin) is because if you lose the player the following year you get a comp. pick for them. There is a reason the Patriots and Ravens do a lot of 1 year deals with FA's. Those 2 teams are the smartest when it comes to understanding acquiring "free" draft picks, many of which end up being 3rd and 4th rounders.
  22. Johm Murphy was saying on his radio show last night that Charles Clay will be paid like a top tight end. When he says things like that I listen......because he's not just saying them out of the blue. I originally thought $7 M per year seemed a bit too rich for Clay but now I'm thinking he might come in around $8M per if Murphy is onto something. Jimmy graham makes $10M per Gronkowski makes $9M per Julius Thomas makes $9.2M per Jason Witten makes $7.4M per Vernon Davis makes $7.35M per Kyle Rudolph makes $7.3M per Antonio Gates makes $7.2M per Jared Cook makes $7M per And many of these contracts were signed 2 years ago when the salary cap was 10-15% lower. So if you tack on 10% to some of those middle contracts listed above your right in the $8M per year range.
  23. That's a good point I hadn't thought of. It would be a smart tactic if allowed. My guess is that type of language wouldn't be allowed in a contract, but I could be wrong.
