  1. Sean McDermott and the Bills have no use for math, they go based on "feel". That's why we rarely attempt 4th and short, never go for 2 pt. conversions. This group of bozos is as behind the curve as you can be. I blame it on the Pegulas though, they're the ones that go out and hire these people that totally ignore data. I think Terry is more impressed that Sean was a decorated wrestler and wears a cross around his neck. That's all good and well....but go get me the guy that understands and embraces the math.
  2. Eagles prob. have a good feel that Reich is not the man in Indy. It seems that Leslie Frazier has the inside track. The Pats strike again.
  3. I'm curious to see how it turns out for you, let us know after the '18 season ends. I do know if you work stubhub properly and buy tickets late you'll likely save $$$. Tickets in late Nov. And Dec. Are always dirt cheap.
  4. That would really be messed up from the Bills stand point. It's one thing to lose a coordinator, when you kind of see it coming and you have the time to find a replacement when coaches are available to be interviewed. At this stage it's like getting stood up at the altar. This McDaniels is a real pissant
  5. Nick Foles has no interest playing anywhere other than Philly. He'll either hold the clipboard behind Wentz in '18 or move on from football.
  6. Brady is the best ever. My hate for the Pats has dissipated in the last few yrs. as I realized he will be talked about as the best ever for a very long time and I can say I was there to see it all. Still root for them to lose, but the hate almost blended to a slight admiration from afar.
  7. I wish this was true, but unfortunately the Pegulas didn't hire an aggressive coach. I absolutely loved what Pederson did in the SB, to the point of being envious of Eagles fans. A coach like that is more important to a team than any one player, outside of a premier QB is. I don't think Mcdermott even has half the cajones that the Eagles coach has, and it's a shame too.
  8. Hats off to the Eagles. One of the best performances by a head coach I've ever seen. The aggression on 4th down and his play calling was pure beauty. With that said how do you think Lions fans are feeling right now knowing Matt Patricia is their new HC? That defense stinks......and it stunk vs. the Jaguars. That hire looks really bad right about now.
  9. Smart move and an easy call I think. Denver or one of those teams will give up a draft pick. It comes down to: does every single team interested in Cousins opt to say let's screw the Redskins salary cap and force them to pay Cousins......or does 1 team say, "screw it we need a QB so bad, I care more about our success than screwing the Redskins, give them our 3rd rounder this yr." I'd bet big time on the latter. Redskins still have leverage if they apply the franchise tag so they should.
  10. I actually liked Rosen the best and thought Darnold was overhyped, but my opinion has flipped. Rosen's accuracy under duress and his inability to finish multiple games this season is a big concern of mine. He also has the sulking, woe is me look when things start to go south with his team, which happened a lot this season. His negative body language is very noticeable, which is a problem. I watched every throw for 4 games for each Rosen and Darnold, and I now believe Darnold is head and shoulders above Rosen. His ability to make free rushers miss and step up in the pocket and still deliver the ball are special. Darnold will be the #1 overall pick.
  11. Not sure if he will be, but I do think at this point at least in the minds of many fans, especially after the Senior Bowl hype, he is being overhyped. I don't think he'll be a top 10 guy. I think he'll go int he 15-30 range. I also have a feeling Josh Rosen won't be going as high as projected right now. I think there's enough concern with his durability and his lack of pocket presence that will scare enough teams away. If the Bills do really like him I think they'll be a chance to move up and get him w/out having to sell the farm....I'm talking somewhere in the 5-12 range. Sam Darnold, by far the best QB in the draft, will be the #1 pick. He is very good. I will be shocked if he's not the 1st pick.
  12. I look forward to that if true. Last year he seemed to be very accurate. Do you know him outside of this forum?
  13. Nobody is trading for a QB that's a poor passer who's due $16M in cash in '18. If we had him locked in for like $12M or less I could see maybe getting a 6th round pick in '19, something like that, but at $16M there will be no takers. Don't forget Tyrod shopped himself last yr. and no one bit at the price the Bills offered, as evidenced by him coming back on a reworked deal, and he was available without having to give up any draft pick compensation. So why would there be a team now that would trade a pick and pay the $16M after what was a much worse statistical season?
  14. I'm guessing the 4 yr. extension Washington gives Alex Smith will be in the $84M range, bringing the total deal to an even $100M over 5 years. Considering, Smith will likely get a $15M signing bonus, not a bad day to be him! It's really a win win for him and the Chiefs. This trade makes the trade up for Mahomes look that much sweeter for the Chiefs, they likely get back close to what they gave up to get him. Cap tip to that franchise. Well done.
  15. Eric Galko, of optimum scouting, who is pretty plugged in on what's happening in the NFL seems to think Cousins to Denver is a strong possibility. He also states that the Cardinals seems to be Denver's biggest competition for Cousins. He mentioned the Bills possibly being interested in Case Keenum if he springs loose. With Smith off the market, and Cousins likely headed elsewhere I think the Keenum chatter is looking like a real possibility. Does it excite me? Not really, but we don't have to give up a pick, and that is very important to me. For more of Galko's rumors http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/news/nfl-draft-rumors-quarterbacks-sam-darnold-baker-mayfield-josh-rosen/k2o3vl3ntwmv130v4xuwokguq BTW, he already hit on Alex Smith to the Redskins.
  16. I'm contemplating not even watching. I'll probably end up caving....but to answer your question....No. I could care less. As I get older, I find myself caring less and less about football games outside of Bills games in general.
  17. There has been plenty of talk about the Bills trading up and trading down in the 2018 NFL Draft. It's that time of year, where the intrigue and speculation of what teams might be thinking come draft day. The excitement this year is ramped up even more with the multiple 1st & 2nd round picks. I thought it'd be helpful to run down the full list of the Bills draft picks and the value each one holds according to multiple draft charts. This way as a fan when you're envisioning different trade up or trade down scenarios you can have an idea of what it'll take to execute those trades. The first value listed is from the infamous Jimmy Johnson trade value chart, the second one is a more updated version since the last CBA which may be a bit more accurate: #21 (800, 260.8) #22 (780, 252.7) #53 (370, 106.3) #56 (340, 98.3) #95 (120, 40.3) I'll fill in the 4th round and later picks after compensatory picks have been handed out. For the record I'm all for flipping one of those 1st round picks for a 2018 2nd & 3rd plus a mid round 2019 draft pick. My dream scenario is heading into day 2 of the NFL draft with three 2nd round picks and two 3rd round picks. You can find a lot of talent in that area

  19. First time I've seen the USC QB rated this high, and I have to say I agree. He looks like the complete package. Throw him in there with a group of good RBs I'd love to take in the 2nd round.
  20. Would love to have a RB with his ability on the roster. I think the 2nd round us likely where he will go too. I think the Bills will be looking to upgrade the RB position this offseason.
  21. Mahomes is a future star in the NFL. The Bills made a mistake not selecting him. Rosen has a chance to be nice, but I like Mahomes quite a bit more. Mahomes skill set reminds me so much of Aaron Rodgers. Accuracy is a plus, and his arm is probably the strongest I've seen. He made a throw in week 17 vs. the Broncos that literally made my jaw drop. I posted it a few weeks back, it was amazing.
  22. Pass. Rudolph sucks. Weak arm, and no where near good enough accuracy to ever be a good starter in the NFL If you don't like Tyrod as a QB than you're not going to like Lamar Jackson. I do think Jackson has the ability to be a more competent passer than TT, but I don't think he'll ever be a good passer. Avg. at best. He misses way too many throws and doesn't have the accuracy necessary to perform at a high level in the NFL.
  23. Marcell has done an awful lot of talking the past few weeks. He still seems to lack any type of self awareness, which was a large contributing factor to him being traded. I have one of those feelings he's going to stick a feather in his cap for his teams success this yr. and get into a total mess of a problem this offseason. He's a player you have to constantly worry about when he's not aorund the facility, which once again was a major contributing factor in him being moved off of the Bills roster.
  24. If you give up a 2nd rounder you probably feel like you have up too much If you give up a 3rd rounder you probably feel okay. If you give up a 4th rounder you probably feel you got the better end of the deal My personal prediction: Bills give up Rams 2nd round pick & Jaguars 5th round pick for Alex Smith & KCs 5th round pick.
  25. our new OC, according to BuffaloBills.com What do we think?
