Say Singletary plays and Edelman doesn't...
Estro replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Edelman is a late scratch from the game expect the line to go to Pats -6.5 (-115) -
The Bills fan in me really wants to see Singletary on the field vs. The Pats, but I think the smart playbwould bevto hold him out until after the bye. Hamstrings eadily reaggravate if you dont give them enough time to heal and 2 weeks IMO is not enough. Rushing him hack only to have him pull the hammy again could result in another 3-4 week absence. If he comes back after the bye hed have rested it for 5 weeks and would be 100%

Will Bill Belichick Target Tremaine Edmunds Again?
Estro replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With the loss of Harrison Phillips, coupled with Ed Oliver's small stature....I think we are going to see a steady diet of runs up the middle. They are going to see if we can stop a power running game. -
Selling 4 Tickets Bills vs. Patriots - Section 134, Row 44

Yes its a pretty big weakness. The Bills almost never created any pressure yesterday when theu sent 4 and that was what was viewed to be a very porous OLine. Going to have to improve if we want to beat some of the better teams.

Fairburn: Singletary officially out this week
Estro replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Singletary is a big loss. He's been a huge boost to the offense. I wouldn't be all that surprised if his hammy turns into a multiple week injury. Rushing back from a pulled hamstring too soon increases the chance of reoccurence and with only 2 more games until the Bill bye the smart move might be to keep him on the shelf until after the bye. -
Not much. He's aging, he's been hurt a lot lately, many of which have been lower body injuries (not good for a WR). His contract pays him $12.2M this year and is up after this year. So if you wanted to keep him beyond a 1 year rental, you'd have to pay him.....and he's a player I'd be really nervous about investing any type of big $ in. With all that said.....I'd probably be willing to give up a 4th rounder for him if it was assured he was healthy and ready to contribute. My thinking behind that is if he were to show he still has something left in the tank....he worst case gets you a 4th/5th round compensatory pick if he signs with another team after this season as long as he signs a contract for $8M+ a year. So you give up a 4th in '20 for a player that can help you in '19 and you can recoup a 4th or 4th in '21 if he signs with another team after the '19 season.......I could live with that

Best Place to get Bills Tix - Minimum Fees
Estro replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know the answer to this question since I have 4 season tickets, but live in southern NJ, so often I have to sell my tickets via one of the resale sites. For the buyer and seller the best site by far is TickPick.com. They charge sellers a 15% fee for w/e their tickets sell for and buyers pay 0% markup. So the total markup is 15%.....not bad at all. Unfortunately, it's not very well known and not heavily used so there aren't nearly as many tickets listed here as some of the other well known sites. For the buyer and seller by far the worst as far as fees has become StubHub.com. When I first started using stubhub about 7-8 years ago they charged sellers a 10% commission and buyers a 15% commission. For example if I listed a ticket for sale on stubhub for $100 and it sold, stub hub would give me $90 and they charge the buyer $115. So they had a 25% spread, not great, but not outrageous. Fast forward to 2019.....Stubhub now charges the seller 15% and the buyer anywhere from 30-35%. Meaning if I sell that same ticket for $100, I'm now gettin $85 and the buyer is paying $130-135. The spread is now a ridiculous 45-50%......double what it was just 5-10 years ago. The problem is they have the best interface and the easiest method of uploading your tickets (simply typing in the barcode number on your tickets and the e-tickets are uploaded), and also the most inventory.....so I tend to sell most of my tickets on stubhub because simply put that's where most fans go to buy their tickets. I'm hoping sites like TickPick start gaining steam because IMO a 15% spread is a much fairer price for the consumer than the 45-50% stubhub is raping everyone for. Seatgeek has very similar fees as stubhub, and vivdseats is slightly better than stubhub and seatgeeks, but still a lot higher than TickPick.com. BTW, my 4 season tickets are on the 50 yardline, home side, Section 134, Row 44 I'm going to the Bengals game, but only using 2 tickets....so I have 2 available I'm not going to the Patriots game so I have 4 available......if interested feel free to Direct Message me. I'd be happy to harge you the going rate on any of the resale site w/out all of those additional fees. You'd be saving me a 15% commission and I'd be saving you the 30-35% commission. Win/win -
I was at the game, and watched the play carefully. It looked like a classic pulled hamstring to me. He couldn't even make it back to the sideline and looked extremely gimpy just getting off the field. I'd be surprised if he's playing next week.....would be a big loss.....not sure what type of run game threat we pose w/out him.

He looks done

According to ProFootballDoc (if you don't know of him, he's excellent at predicting injuries and recovery times) A.J. Green is still in a walking boot as of yesterday. According to his timeline A.J Green probably won't be back until Week 5. Originally there was some speculation that he'd maybe be back by week 3 vs. the Bills.......not the case according to his trained eye.

Who else was completely fooled and thought we stuffed Le'Veon on that 4th and 1 late in the 4th Q. I though he was stuffed in the backfield for a negative rush, I was screaming in jubilation. Then I looked up and saw 1st and 10 with the Jets offense getting ready for the next snap. WTF!!!??? Who else was totally fooled like me? They showed a quick replay and it looked like Bell fell forward and squirmed just enough to get the 1st....but it had me totally fooled.

Early betting lines are out for next week. If I had guessed before seeing the line I would've thought the Bills would be -1. It would be sweet to start the year 2-0 @ Metlife.

Cody Ford was bad - again & again he was while at RT
Estro replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Joe B. was right in his training camp reports......he did not like Ford at T, liked him a lot better at G. He seemed to get beat with outside speed pretty regularly, just as he did throughout training camp from everything I've heard. Maybe the Bills liked him as a T when they traded up for him in the 2nd, but so far the film is showing he needs to be moved inside. I don't see how you get better at handling outside speed on an island. You either have that athleticism or you don't. He doesn't look like he has it. -
One thing I noticed about J. Johnson, though, is he is slow. In last nights game he was out flanked and beat to the outside on a couple of occasions. His lack of speed to cut off the angle and make the tackle was pretty apparent. Then again that's why he went where he did in the draft.......his athletic numbers were all on the low side

Ed Oliver doesn't look very good
Estro replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm slightly concerned myself. I think he can do damage in clear passing downs, but his inability to anchor in the run game will be exposed if it doesn't get a lot better. You can expect a coach like Bill B. to run right at him until he proves he can get off a block and make a tackle in the run game. His tackling is a little sloppy too, backs have slipped out of a few of his tackles this preseason. I like DT that can generate immediate pressure up the middle, which can destroy a play.......and he can do that......but he will have to be at least avg. against the run for the staff to trust him to be out there on 3rd and mediums and 3rd and shorts. Like I said earlier, I think smart coaches are going to run right at him, until he proves otherwise. -
Anybody who listens to One Bills Live, I think. I couldn't have been the only one with the same observation today, it was as bad as I've ever heard.
