Listen to Greg Cosells appearance on the Ross Tucker podcast today. He's a bit more objective on that show than he is when he's on the home town show with CB and Tasker. He pretty much said what we all saw on Sunday. "Outside of Allen this team really doesn't have a lot of talent". He tipped his cap to the OL and a pretty good run game, but he said outside of that this roster doesn't have high level talent. He said it's actually quite an accomplishment they've been as successful as they have been with their talent level. We need more dogs, plain and simple. And BTW, you could tell Chris Jones was a player Beane mustve liked in the draft. Now he was taken in '16, before Beane was even here, but that was one tell I picked up on in this pressers.....he spoke about him a lot. We need 2 or 3 dogs added to the defense. Can that happen in 1 offseason? Probably not, but hopefully the process can begin this offseason.....and it's one reason If be down to trade two 1sts and a 3rd for Myles Garrett. The defense would be totally transformed dripping a player of his talent onto this roster. He just turned 29, he's got a lot left in the tank. He'd be my #1 offseason priority, it makes too much sense. And for those that say you can't fit him under the cap. BALONEY! That could easily be finagled

Podcasts have certainly changed the game because you now have a menu of options and you can kind of go after whatever you want to consume. Joe Marino is best on class when it comes to a concise, informed, intelligent podcast. He knows football, he watches film, he comes to his own conclusions....and he communicates it all on a high level. I live in South Jersey and I like to tune into Schoop and Bulldog in the afternoons here and there. I know Schoop is a polarizing figure in Buffalo, but I'm a big fan of his. Like Joe Marino I think he's pretty informed and he has his own thoughts..like it hate some of those opinions he's at least authentic and he's a good communicator. Bulldog paired with Mike is good too. Bulldog on his own, when Mike is out is a trainwreck. He's nervous and the show is a tough listen. It's weird when I tune in to the afternoon show I can almost immediately tell if Mike is out because Bulldog just has a much more nervous style when he's out .

I'll believe it when I see it with him. I've seen the aggression, esp. against inferior opponents in the reg. Season and I do respect it ....... But the playoffs have been a different animal. 8 need to see it in the highest of leverage situations, with the season on the line to really believe the conservative Sean is finally gone

This game was particularly rough for me because it wasn't super cold that day so I wasn't dressed as warm as I should've been. As I recall the weather was maybe low 40s, but when the wind and rain kicked it it felt much colder than that. I remember my college buddy bought one of those cheap ponchos on the walk into the stadium, which are basically a trash bag. He was absolutely soaked and freezing by halftime. In order to warm up during halftime I followed a caterer into a climate controlled area at halftime, only to get booted out when they saw me hanging in the corner, shivering, clearly not belonging in such a warm, pristine environment, lol. Stayed to the end, but that was the last time I came to a game so I'll prepared for the elements. The Bills actually got out to a lead that game and the Giants kicked the Bills doors in and won that game to go to 8-7 and needed a win the following week just to get into the playoffs. 4 wins later and they were holding up the Lombardi.

I liked him a lot. Good size, fairly accurate and good escapability and ability to throw from different platforms. I think he's going to be a guy. Showed some serious toughness too

If he could learn to snap his head around and locate the football he'd be alright. He's a frenetic CB, who seems to panic instead of just remaining calm and trusting his technique. You can see the raw talent, but his chaotic play at the mesh point explains why he plays so little

You're probabaly right, I don't disagree. COTY generally goes to a newer coach that has way over exceeded the win total expectation, which is why Kevin O'Connell is the current favorite. That said Andy Reid is now the 4th betting fav. at +750. Selfishly, I have a nice lil bet on him at 66/1, so one can wish!

I think after Andy Reid wins this week with Carson Wentz @ QB his candidacy for COTY will be in overdrive, and deservedly so.

Bills open up as 6.5 point favorites vs. 49ers. This line indicates Purdy isn't playing. After the news of Purdy missing the Packers game broke the 49ers went from a small underdog to 5.5 point underdogs. I don't think the Bills would be 6.5 point favs with Purdy playing, likely would be in the -3 or 4 range

Spot on. Allen is so quick to want to move off his spot to any pressure or even perceived pressure...... That it seems to make the screen game very difficult. Like you said you need to invite the rush toward you, accept the rush patiently then deliver the throw. Too often Allen rushes off his spot which creates a very disjointed, difficult pass to get the screen started. I've heard Greg Cosell talking a lot about the Bills disjointed passing game and Allen's too often abandoning clean pockets......and I thought today was a glaring example of both. The wins are all that matters, but there's a slice of me that is growing concerned with this passing offense. Can you win 3-4 straight in the playoffs with this offense? Not sure

Profootball doc is saying on X that next week is very much in doubt for Kincaid. Not a long-term injury, but seems likely he'll miss next week, which would give him 3 weeks rest going into 49ers game. Going to be a tough ask for the offense with no Kincaid, no Coleman and Cooper iffy....I happen to think they'll have Cooper based on Allen's comments this past week, but it's shaky

I believe Rousseau was the defender that touched Geno Smith down when he tripped on the 4th down goal line try. Wouldn't that be credited as a sack for Groot? He didn't receive credit for a sack on the play. Confused me

Psl's are such a bad buy for consumers. Wait until 40 mins before kickoff and get a really good seat for $250-350. Do that a few times a year and you're in for 1000ish a season..beats the hell out of clunking down 5-10k on a useless PSL thats worth absolutely nothing. If you have the money fine, but if you're on the fence at all it's a hard pass IMO

They should've taken a timeout. They had 3 Chances to score a TD and take a 4 point lead. They squandered 1 of those 3 plays on an obvious run with Tribusky on the field for no gain. That to me was asinine. And I believe they called a timeout on the next play when they broke the huddle late with Allen rushed back on the field. We needed a TD there bad and to waste a play with Tribusky under center was insanely stupid

I 100 percent think they did it on purpose and it was a very smart move on their part. Conceded the 1st down, but on 2nd and 1 that's the correct play to save a possible 40 seconds from burning off the clock . The correct move in that situation would've been for the Bills to decline the penalty on that situation. At that point in the game the ability to burn and additional 45 seconds on 2nd and 1 is more valuable than 1st and 10. Perhaps something for McDermott and staff to learn from.......perhaps they can relook the analytics on kicking the fg of death to go up 6 too, while theyre at it

That's where I stand. Listening to Joe Marino, it seems that the stable of you g tackles we have in the pipeline is somewhat promising. I thought maybe from a financial strategic the smart play would be to let another team pay Brown $16-18M per year on the open market, bag the 3rd round comp. pick and have a young guy ready to go

Rule #1 - Never draft a RB in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd round. Rule #2 - Never resign a RB to a 2nd contract, unless it's entirely team friendly Rule #3 - Never hesitate to trade a productive RB on your roster if another team is dumb enough to offer a top 100 pick Rule #4 - Never make an exception for Rules 1-3 So my answer is a firm yes. Cook has enough holes in his game.

Im curious what the price is going to be for the corner sections in the middle tier of the stadium, just outside of the club sections. I had my meeting, virtually, yesterday & unfortunately they're only offering the expensive seats. Cheapest seats I was offered were 10k PSLs and 4k per season. Way out of my price range. I'm not sure I'll renew, but if I can find a good spot in the corners for a 2k PSL and 2k per season I'd consider.......seems it's going to be a month or 2 before cheaper seats are being offered though

We can also compare keon coleman vs any of the wrs that went after pick 46 plus a 2nd rounder next year. One of the biggest fleeces of the draft was the trade up the rams made. Went up about 11 spots in the 2nd round and gave up a 5th rounder and next year's 2nd. I was jealous of that trade down by the Panthers. Would've loved if Beane pulled the trigger on that one.

I've got to put it down on record so I'm going to post here. Despite trying to get optimistic about the Keon Coleman pick, I've gotta go with my gut and how I felt about him prior to the Bills selecting him. I don't think he'll end up being a good WR in the NFL. I hope I'm wrong, and maybe I will be. Maybe his opportunity in Buffalo coupled with getting to play with a great QB will help him tip the scales and he'll become a productive WR for the Bills.........but I'm just not optimistic at all. Listen to any of the smarter guys who breakdown these prospects, whether its Greg Cosell, Matt Harmon of reception perception, or most of the guys over at PFF and they don't like the prospect. Now does that Mena they'll be right? No it doesnt, but there is a lot of evidence that guys like Keon Coleman don't pan out in the NFL. After watching everyone of his targets this past season I cam away very underwhelmed. I didn't see a guy worth of the #33 pick. I don't think he catches the ball particularly well in traffic and for a guy that's not fast and will be covered a lot that's concerning. I also saw blvery little burst. On a lot of his receptions near the line fo scrimmage he was easily tackled by the defense and showed very little wiggle or ability to hit it north/south quickly. I'm very curious what thr plan will be for Coleman because guys like Matt Harmon thought any chance he'd have at success would be with a move to the slot. Similar to how Marques Colston played for the Saints.. But it seems the Bils think hes an X receiver. Time shall tell, hope I'm wrong

I predict Franklin is on the board at #60. I don't think he's going as high as a lot of people think.

I agree. If there was an over/under posted on Troy Franklin I would bet the over if his draft position was set at 59.5. I think he may be available into the 3rd round. His lack of any physicality seems to be a problem for evaluators
