  1. I would have to say that I assumed about 90-95% of people would be believers. Seeing the results of this poll has me kind of shocked. I would bet that most of the undecided in rough times would be swayed to becoming believers. One point that many of the critics of "religion" forget (Keep in mind i do not follow any organized religion myself) is that at the foundation most religions are exactly the same. I'll use a football analogy... All 32 NFL teams have different strategies. For example, The buffalo bills were supposed to be a smash mouth, running team. The Colts were All out passing, etc etc.... In the end all of the teams have the ultimate goal of moving the football and reaching the endzone. The endzone to me is what we call "life after death" All religions acknowledge the life after death aspect. However their approaches to getting there are all different, hence are you a running team, a passing team, or a defensive 3-4/4-3 team. All are different in their own respect, but all have the same ultimate goal and philosophy. Just my take on it.
  2. It is his business his #1/#2 Wide out aint around to practice. Being that he's the QB, i think it's his business. Honor your contract is right. I wish all GM's got togetehr and agreed to not honor holdouts whatsoever.
  3. Not at all, its on North campus which is in the safest suburb in america, Amherst,NY. Good area with the exception of typical buffalo weather.
  4. Very good point...
  5. Its crazy how much difference of opinion there is when it comes to a topic like this. I for one believe all of us have to agree to disagree, because there is no such thing as "Right" and "Wrong." Those terminologies are relative to one's situation, culture, etc. I support the idea that people use historical books for guidance such as the bible, koran, etc... However, I don't think people should live and die by their words. I like to look for "God" in my own ways. Thats just my opinion and I'm sure some will think that is "wrong" and others who feel it is "right." Thanks for all the action on this post. One thing is for sure, life is too darn short
  6. Thanks for the link... All of my research so far, and reading other literature supports this idea as well.
  7. I agree with your statements, however, the study consists of take-home surveys, that the participants have zero idea of what the study is aiming to prove. All research starts out with a "theory" they are aiming to prove. Many end up being proven, as well as being disproven. Also to clarify, I am a believer in the afterlife, however I do not associate with any organized religion myself. I belief all of the figureheads were probably great people, but no more special than their neighbors and friends. just my opinion...
  8. Not suggesting u need a higher power to cope, just curious. Because I'm doing a hypothetical research proposal, and my theory is that "Believing" would help people to cope, and accelerate the grieving process.
  9. If there was a God, Paul McGuire would be general manager of a hardware store somewhere near Chapel Hill, Terrell Owens would be grateful for what he has in life, and women would find farts amusing. 325177[/snapback] I like the T.O. reference...
  10. If people want to comment (Non-believers) how have you coped/would you cope with the death of a loved one?
  11. God for my purposes is any form of higher power, whether you believe in any religion, spirituality, higher order, or just know there's something out there. You either believe, do not believe, or are unsure. Feel free to post in regards tot he topic. Thanks for the help, Brett
  12. Considering its a 57 yarder, I'm handing it off to Willis and running behind the right side of the line and Daimon Shelton.
  13. Drink lots of water, juice etc.
  14. Chris Kelsay all the way. I see him surpassing Schobel in sacks this year. Just a hunch, I like his style of play and added size.
  15. People are retarded... I completely get the guys point, as a matter of fact,I'm glad we brought in an athletic tight end.

  20. Alice in Chains - Live MTV Unplugged Album The best hands down...
  21. If you like to get to games early, the Lower level endzone seats will be of beneftit, because the teams do all their warmups around the endzone areas. I'm on the 0yrd line, section 117, its cool cuz we get to see all the opposing teams working out, taunting etc.
