we converted, they didnt (33%). i think its a very telling stat - comparable to hits with 2 outs in baseball. It sure feels good to win like that! and our upcoming schedule is the 2nd most favorable in the league (though i doubt we can recover enough to make the playoffs).

from the bflo news: The Rams cried foul over some of the rough tactics by the Bills' defensive backs. Wide receiver Torry Holt accused Bills cornerback Nate Clements of taking a shot at his knees, even on plays where Holt wasn't involved. Holt had to come out of the game briefly after being hit in the knee early in the third quarter. "That was totally surprising," Holt said. "I never had anything like that happen to me before. I asked him throughout the course of the game, "Why did you do that?' He said, "Well, you cut me.' I said, "Well, I don't go exactly for your knee to take you out and hurt your career.' I cut around the shin and around the ankles. I don't go right at the knee. He went right for my knee. I thought that was totally inappropriate and wasn't necessary. To me, that wasn't clean football."

clean text book tackle? it wasnt a tackle. holt was blocking on a run play going to the other side of the field and clements just cut holt. the ball was not anywhere near the two of them. I ought that was cheap, unless holt was cutting nate throughout the game and nate just wanted to send a message.

but what the hell was clements doing cutting holt on a run play??? i thought that was bs, unless that is what holt was doing to nate.

its true - since he was benched for edwards he has been on fire. the announcers really keyed on him in replays and he was just unstoppable. pick your poison - you can only choose to double him or big pat....but not both. this type of play also frees up our backers to fly to the ball. a great team effort today.

nice post and a breath of positivity can do wonders for a fan. Fact is we wont go far with this o-line - no matter who is running the ball or throwing behind it. So I'll wait patiently for progress. The mental errors though really are disturing. It definately bites that the Boys have our No. 1 next year - it could be a top 5.

Wow. I'm depressed that was the best play we had. From the replay, the play doesnt look like it had a chance as Brushi was in there in a second.

Let me get this straight. You think the play was designed to leave a LB, who is directly over the guard, unblocked, while Williams and the TE double the DE, and Bledsoe runs for the first? If so, that is the most retarded play ever called. 1) Bledsoe could not run for a first to save his life 2) Henry ran directly left, so how could the LB gobble him up 3) If so, we would not need to double the DE b/c the TE had a perfect angle to block down on him 4) all Williams had to do was step down and jack the LB once to stop his rush into the backfield 5) if your description of the play was the way it was supposed to happen to get us a first im going to jump off a bridge
