The big reason the Pats are almost unbeatable
Larry Playfair replied to Larry Playfair's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Youre right - they have a nice combo of FA pickups and draftees. And their FA's seem to be players who werent great coming out of college, but who have been allowed to get some training/experience with other teams, and time to bulk up a bit. When the Pats pick them up through good scouting, they have players ready to step up. Hopefully McNally can help us do this. -
at the risk of sounding gay, spanglish was pretty good, and that new brazilian (?) hottie was amazing as the maid. yum.

The big reason the Pats are almost unbeatable

True - Brady has the ability to sense the pressure and get rid of it. But most NFL qb's do, or they wouldnt be in the NFL. The Pats O-Line though, amkes a big difference. and Brady never seems to make mistakes at game changing moments. He takes the sack, throws it away, or - mostly - makes a play! But having time to make a play is the difference btwn success and failure. -
http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/story/8136278 Their play helped the Patriots finish fourth in scoring offense (27.3) and seventh in total offense at 357.6 yards per game. They also helped Dillon finish third in the league in rushing with 1,635 yards and limited the opposition to 26 sacks, the best total in a decade. Its the reason why Dillion had 1635 yds in 15 games. Its the reason why Brady passed for 3692 yards and had a 92 QB rating. Time to let the play develop means everything. Lets hope we put an emphasis on the O line this offseason and stop trying to just get by on whoever we can plug in. Although none of the NE players were bigtime pickups, and most were unheralded coming out of college. GO Bills.

I actually watch the game on nfl channel playbacks and still hold out hope we win.

posters have said bledsoe's 1 mil bonus is due 3/1, so we may know earlier. Id say its unlikely we cut him b/c of the cap hit, plus the need to sign someone else. Its smarter just to keep him and let him backup losman, since he is a servicable backup.

not a great draft, but many of these players have contributed. TD sure didnt find any sleepers that year either.

My Offseason Wish List
Larry Playfair replied to BillsGuyInMalta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like your ideas. I'm an old college o-lineman, but I think you went too heavy there by adding through FA and draft. Id like to add here, but cash in FA is always a consideration. I would be surprised if they go w/ a kicker in 2nd rd, but I am not against it. I doubt we take another qb this high, moving up to get JP already cost us alot. We need a vet FA here, or bledsoe coming off the bench. Is the deadline really March for his roster bonus? Zeroue would be cool! Nice work on this Malta. -

Falsehoods, lies and the new Stadium Wall
Larry Playfair replied to AKC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
gimmie a break, people are free to post what they want. just because tom wolfe writes a 1000 page novel, doesnt make it any better a 3 line poem. 3 hour movies arent any more powerfukl then shorts. the more your write doesnt make it any more thoughtful. besides, many posters are probably closer to the truth then the media or the decision makers at onebills drive. this isnt art, its football. and jokers, intelligent and not, are free to post their opinions, whether they are insightful or not. the things that sucks about this board the most is the attacks on each other. no one is right or wrong, we all just add our opinions. and w/o opinions, buff would just be another friggin new town consisting of strip malls and movie theaters. we are a town of souls, with strong opinions. not necessarily educated, or insightful, but definately w/ a viewpoint. plus, its a community where we can all have input about something we love - THE BILLS! In my view, all our welcome to post whatever they like. if you dont like it.....be good or be gone. -
Jonas Jennings should not be re-signed
Larry Playfair replied to Nick in RaChaCha's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
O line has to be the main priority, whether its Bledsoe or JP. neither would flourish behind this line, JP might just use his wheels to create some plays. We need a LT and Guard, and another viable starting interior lineman is also a good idea b/c Puccilio is a joke. Our caps in good shape, lets go after some quality Oline starters and build something for te future. -

Larry Playfair replied to Fan in San Diego's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree w/ stevestojan. His answers on bb.com are always the same, and are not a bit insightful. We can only hope somone at one bills drive has the light go on that we will be mediocre at best w/ Bledsoe behind center.
