  1. I'm not sure why we want to let Spikes go. I know he wasn't good last year, but he was coming of a majory injury that usually takes 2 years to get back or get close to full strength. Spikes was injured the whole year with a hammy injury and an ankle injury. I think we should give him this year to see if he can come close to regaining his old form.

  2. If Willis is there at 12 we would be stupid to pass on him. Okoye has tons of potential, but he wouldn't be able to make the impact that Willis can make this year. The defense might not be as bad of shape as everyone is thinking. Essentially we're getting another 1st rounder with McCargo coming back, and help at LB with Crowell coming back. Yeah we're loosing Clements, but he can be replaced with a nick harper type player.

  3. Well 13 million pissed away, now we got 18 left. Marv better hope he gets lucky and Kelsay becomes an amazing player because we've probably already lost our best 2 defensive players on a defense that was bad last year. Bills are banking on an amazing draft, the players from last year turning it up a notch in year 2, and J.P. Losman taking a drastic step forward and becoming a star. All these things are possible, and I think Losman can become a winning quarterback with a better O-line and another year, but it's probably doubtful.

  4. Why are we giving out 13 million guaranteed to a DE that defines average. If our run defense was good I could see why they'de want to keep him, but it wasn't. If he was able to apply pressure on the QB at meaningful times then it would be worth it. I would much rather see Ralph pull out the checkbook for a top 5 player in Clements. Fletcher leaving is fine, because I think Marv is targeting Willis with that 12th pick. Loosing Clements and having a sub par D-line is going to make our cover 2 look terrible.

  5. If Willis is there I think Marv should grab him at 12 and then with our 2nd round pick get a speed rushing Defensive End. A perfect fit in my mind would be a Quinten Moses if he falls to us. He is on the light side at 250, but he's long and fast and before his dissapointed senior season was expected to be a top 10 pick. With our 3rd round pick I think Marv goes for a RB. Some possibilities being Kenny Irons, Tony Hunt, Lorenzo Booker. Marv said he wants to upgrade our O-line through FA since young guys on the O-line take a while to develop sometimes.

  6. 1st round: RB: Marshawn Lynch, California

2nd round: DT: Quin Pitcock, Ohio State

3rd round: ILB: David Harris, Michigan

In free agency I see them getting a starting LG, perhaps Kris Dielman from San Diego. I also see them getting one of the corners from the Colts, either Harper or David. They'll probably grab another O-lineman and a D-end to compete with Denney.

Marv said he wanted to bring in competition for McGahee and he wants to do it through the draft. McGahee is gone after this year and the combo of McGahee and Lynch for this year would look pretty good. Marv also said upgrading the O-line is the top priority this season, and he wants to do it through FA not the draft. Pitcock and Harris hopefully would help fill the defensive holes.

P.S. : I'de be happy if I got one of these things right, but it's always fun to try and guess what will happen.

  7. No, I'm a JP fan and I like him alot, but he is no where close to Tom Brady. With the right supporting cast I think he could be a top 10 Qb and can get this team to the playoffs as a wild card team. However, if you surround him with a bad O-line, a bad defense, and you aren't willing to dish out the money to bring in the neccesary tolls to help him then he has no chance in this league. The Patriots do what they do because Tom Brady is that good. The Bills simply can not do what the Patriots do and expect to succeed. I guess the only thing we can hope for is for us to get extremely lucky in the draft, and hope that McCargo turns into a stud.

  8. Can we stop with all the Patriots comparisons. We are no where near the Patriots, and the only way we can do what the Patriots do is by having the best quarterback in the game to make it all work. All I am saying is that if this team has a bad year what happens next? It's been the same thing for the last 7 years, when is it going to change?

  9. So basically we're going to loose a top 5 corner in Clements, our Defensive leader in Fletcher, our starting DE who showed a lot of improvement. We're also not going to spend money like every other team in the league to upgrade a defense that was one of the worst in the league. Instead we're going to sign 4 or 5 mid tier player (ex: Robert Royal). I wouldn't have as big a problem with the lack of spending we're going to do if we were to resign Clements, but we're not. We're loosing 3 of our better starters from our terrible defense, so how the hell are we going to get better???

  10. I hate people saying that we should draft Leon Hall. The corners do not make the d-lineman better, it's the other way around. Leon Hall would be a major drop off from Nate Clements (at least in his first couple of years) So how would this make us any better?? I say take the best available D-Lineman since Levi Brown isn't worth the 12th pick and Joe Thomas will be long gone. My list would go like this:

    1. Alan Branch

    2. Jamal Anderson

    3. Gaines Adams

    4. Amakoye Obekye (no idea how to spell that)
