  1. You must be a DREAM to be married to ... you spend more time in the past then a time traveler ! You related to chicken little?
  2. The answer is in here somewhere - if someone wants to figure out what happens if denver / buffalo / jacksonville all end up 10-6 Good luck ! With the NFL realigning into eight four-team divisions to accommodate the arrival of the Houston Texans, the league adopted new tiebreaking rules. Common opponents will now be the third tiebreaker within a division after head-to-head games and division record because each of the four teams will have 14 common games in the 16-game schedule. The owners also moved the strength-of-victory tiebreaker ahead of the strength-of-schedule tiebreaker. The six postseason participants from each conference will now be seeded as follows: 1. The division champion with the best record. 2. The division champion with the second-best record. 3. The division champion with the third-best record. 4. The division champion with the fourth-best record. 5. The Wild Card club with the best record. 6. The Wild Card club with the second-best record. The following procedures will be used to break standings ties for postseason playoffs and to determine regular-season schedules. NOTE: Tie games count as one-half win and one-half loss for both clubs TO BREAK A TIE WITHIN A DIVISION If, at the end of the regular season, two or more clubs in the same division finish with identical won-lost-tied percentages, the following steps will be taken until a champion is determined. Two Clubs 1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs). 2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division. 3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games. 4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference. 5. Strength of victory. 6. Strength of schedule. 7. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed. 8. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed. 9. Best net points in common games. 10. Best net points in all games. 11. Best net touchdowns in all games. Three or More Clubs (Note: If two clubs remain tied after third or other clubs are eliminated during any step, tie breaker reverts to step 1 of the two-club format). 1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games among the clubs). TO BREAK A TIE FOR THE WILD-CARD TEAM If it is necessary to break ties to determine the two Wild-Card clubs from each conference, the following steps will be taken. 1. If the tied clubs are from the same division, apply division tie breaker. 2. If the tied clubs are from different divisions, apply the following steps. Two Clubs 1. Head-to-head, if applicable. 2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference. 3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games, minimum of four. 4. Strength of victory. 5. Strength of schedule. 6. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed. 7. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed. 8. Best net points in conference games. 9. Best net points in all games. 10. Best net touchdowns in all games. 11. Coin toss. Three or More Clubs (Note: If two clubs remain tied after third or other clubs are eliminated, tie breaker reverts to step 1 of applicable two-club format.) 1. Apply division tie breaker to eliminate all but the highest ranked club in each division prior to proceeding to step 2. The original seeding within a division upon application of the division tie breaker remains the same for all subsequent applications of the procedure that are necessary to identify the three Wild-Card participants. 2. Head-to-head sweep. (Applicable only if one club has defeated each of the others or if one club has lost to each of the others.) 3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference. 4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games, minimum of four. 5. Strength of victory. 6. Strength of schedule. 7. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed. 8. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed. 9. Best net points in conference games. 10. Best net points in all games. 11. Best net touchdowns in all games. 12. Coin toss. When the first Wild-Card team has been identified, the procedure is repeated to name the second Wild-Card, i.e., eliminate all but the highest-ranked club in each division prior to proceeding to step 2, and repeated a third time, if necessary, to identify the third Wild Card. In situations where three or more teams from the same division are involved in the procedure, the original seeding of the teams remains the same for subsequent applications of the tie breaker if the top-ranked team in that division qualifies for a Wild-Card berth. OTHER TIE-BREAKING PROCEDURES 1. Only one club advances to the playoffs in any tie-breaking step. Remaining tied clubs revert to the first step of the applicable division or Wild-Card tie breakers. As an example, if two clubs remain tied in any tie-breaker step after all other clubs have been eliminated, the procedure reverts to step one of the two-club format to determine the winner. When one club wins the tie breaker, all other clubs revert to step 1 of the applicable two-club or three-club format. 2. In comparing division and conference records or records against common opponents among tied teams, the best won-lost-tied percentage is the deciding factor since teams may have played an unequal number of games. 3. To determine home-field priority among division titlists, apply Wild-Card tie breakers. 4. To determine home-field priority for Wild-Card qualifiers, apply division tie breakers (if teams are from the same division) or Wild-Card tie breakers (if teams are from different ivisions).
  3. You are right .. we should get rid of Drew .. who wants a QB that has won 6 of 8 games ... and of course .. he lost the first 4 .. all by himself ... JUST reaching the playoffs would be a start .... how many teams have been 0-4 and made the playoffs ... I remember a Minnasota team that started 6-0 and ended up 8-8. Maybe Drew is over the hill ... but he's the BEST we have .. and Ido believe he saved the D's butt in Miami - they made Miami look good ! IF Buffalo manages to beat Pittsburgh .. and I do wish it .. but we ALL know its fairly unlikely .. they deserve to be treated as a TEAM ... and that means you go with the cards you have ... If you don't like Drew .. find a anti-Drew website ... I personally like the guy !
  4. posts like this should be deleted .. just plain stupid .. who cares about fantasy football ... this is a Bills webpage .. about the Bills football TEAM !!!
  5. First the forecast for 1pm - 19 degrees and 20 MPH winds - wind chill 3 Quarterback - Drew has a rating of 76.6 at #23 His 18 TD's are better than 9 of thetop 20 rated QB's, is 10th in the league There are 30 rated in a range of 126 to 73 Carson Palmer has a rating of 77.3 at #20 Passing defense - Buffalo #3 at 177.1 yards, 18 TD's, 17INT's, 37 sacks, 261 sack yards. Cinny #15 at 206.8 yards, 21 TD's, 16INT's, 30 sacks, 201 sack yards. Would expect that passing is not the key to the game - ball control and turnovers - but looks like the matchup favors the Bills - expecially if Palmer does not play. Time of possesion Buffalo 30:31 vs. Cinny 29:12 Running - Buffalo #4 at 92.3 yards, 4TD's, 61 first downs, 4 games over 20 points Cinny #27 at 138.2 yards, 10TD's, 107 first down's, 7 games over 20 points HUGE advantage to Buffalo with the weather they will face. Rudi Johnson - 291 carries, 4.1 average, 5 runs over 20 yards December numbers 2 games 43 rushes 145 yards 3.4 average 18 longest 0 TD's 8 first downs He averages the same in each half and each quarter, with a .1 - VERY consistant back ! Willis McGahee - 240 carries, 3.8 average, 8 runs over 20 yards December numbers 2 games 50 rushes 196 yards 3.9 avg 21 longest 2 TD's 13 first downs First half 3.4, second half 4.1 By quarter, 1st-3.3, 2nd-3.6, 3rd, 3.7, 4th- 4.5 - Was not aware that is was so different - impressive ! He has rushes 130 times on 1st down for 553 yards and 4.3 average. Thats 1/2 of his carries on 1st down - know I sure would look for that today ! Special teams Offense Buffalo #2 at 24.5 yards in TO returns, #4 in punt returns Cinny #23 in KO returns and #15 in punt returns Defense Buffalo #3 with no TD's allowed Cinny #6 with no TD's allowed Looks like this could be a wash for once So I see a LOW scoring game - lots of running - some passing See Drew throwing short passes - maybe 12 for 18 for 120 yards - just enough to keep them honest - see McGahee getting 30+ carries Score 17-10 Buffalo
  6. Thanks for the support .. believe it or not digging those numbers up and making that post took a good hour .. which equals about 300 of the posts people do here ! I will look for yardage by down ... would be interesting I am sure I agree WM does seem to make positive yardage out of nothing .. but having a bum foot sure would stop you from driving forward also. If this is where WM is at year one and it takes 3 years then it sure does look promising, but also hate to see TH get dumped on after being a pretty fair running back for a few years. Pass protection is also key - line play - a passing attack that opens up the running - being ahead - good play selection - and I am sure there are a dozen more. My worry is we have beat the teams we were much better than - lets see how we do against a good team in their place (Cinncy) and then a VERY good team at ours (Pittsburgh). If the Offence can score 24 a game I think the D can hold most if not all teams to less. I still worry about our passing D but with TV back its sure looks better !
  7. So - besides the Willis stats - what about Evans vs Moulds - I wrote them for comments - which some people take that stats means someone should be traded. My POINT was that you can read whatever you want into numbers - there are always outside forces to each - other people and situations can effect what happens - if one is forced to run or pass then that will effect what one sees. Plus some people just need to lighten up some !!! I so seldom see anyone post "food for thought" posts - was hoping for better replies.
  8. Henry had the same numbers last year - hurt - as WM has this year ... Not sold on WM yet ... luke warm really ... 100 yard days are no big deal with 30 carries ..
  9. I agree on the stiff arm .. is deadly .. but speed ... not seen that yet .. but hope it returns .. remember him at Miami .. could FLY !
  10. But was that ANY different for Travis last year? and he also had a bum foot ... Just seems people are so in love with Willis ... so far I do kind of like what I see ... but also have not seen the speed I expected ... and may never. The OL has a part to play but so far I think he has been average .. sure he has had 100 yard days but with 26-30 carries.

  12. Gee .. I must be making it up ... looks so real !!! Get the stats from different places ... http://www.footballoutsiders.com/index.php is a great source .. so is NFL.com So what do you think????
  13. Willis McGahee - 239 for 924 yards, 9 TD's and 2 fumbles Thats 3.8 yards a carry ... of the top 15 rushers in yards ... he is 13th in total yards and the lowest yards per carry of the people ahead of him. His "success rate", This number represents the player's consistency, measured by successful running plays (the definition of success being different based on down and distance) divided by total running plays. His is 45%, which is almost the lowest of any back above him in yards. Most are at 55%. Kind of shows he is a good solid running back ... by comparision last year Henry was also a 45% guy and had 332 for 1361 yards for an average of 4.1 yards a carry. Best receiver - Evans or Moulds? Evans - 52 for 587 yards (11.2 avg) and 6 TDs and catches 63% of the balls thrown him. 9 over 20 yards and 4 over 40 yards. Moulds - 125 for 883 yards (7 avg) and 7 TD's and catches 57% of the balls thrown him. 12 over 20 yards and 2 over 40 yards. By comparison Hines Ward is at 78% and most receivers are in the upper 60's Where does Buffalo run the ball the most? Guess before you read this .. Left 23% of the time, 3.58 yards, #10 in the league Middle 54% of the time, 3.15 yards, #28 in the league Right 23% of the time, 2.90 yards, #26 in the league Just some food for thought !
  14. You reply BARELY deserves a responce ... nope wrong ... it dosen't .. just too stupid.
  15. Lets see .. defence making Miami look like a good team .. so its not them. Drew is only 18/28, 267 yards, 4TD's and 0 INT's Rating of 134 (I am sure someone will point out its against Maimi) But must be SOME reason they are winning today ....? Special teams is a wash so far. Big running game tosy too ... 68 whole yards .. 7 of which are Drew's !
  16. I replied to the statement I replied to ... If you wnat to pick out any 3 to 4 game group different players or group of players are always to blame for any group of loses .. or wins. I was replying to the staement that Drew was the cause of them being blown out in the first 4 loses .. which was not the truth. As to the road loses .. there is more than enough blame to go around .. offense, defence, coaching ... whatever. Is this Drew's last year ... maybe .. is JP ready to start ..of course not ... till we are eliminated the Bills owe the fans a shot at the playoffs .. then play JP ...
  17. Drew has his faults .. but I get sick and tired of every lose being his fault ... when it a TEAM effort //or lack there of ... fact is Defence lost at least 3 of those 4 games !
  18. Buffalo 24, Miami 10 Drew plays 3 quarters - JP gets in last half of 4th WM has a big game running ...
  19. I do LIKE JP also .. but people expect to much of rookie's .. look at Giants - manning WILL be great but they have shoot themselves switching ... rookies sit first year at QB ... more so than any position !!!
  20. "The truth is, early in the season, we DIDNT win with Drew, in fact, we got SPANKED by our division rivals! " really?? Game #1 Jacksonville 13, Buffalo 10 Drew 17/26, 153 yards, 1TD and 0 int's - rating of 93.91 - fault in this game goes to defence letting one receiver beat 3 defenders ... Game #2 Oakland 13, Buffalo 10 ... this one was a screw job by the refs .. even they admit that Henry scored ... Drew 13/24. 198 yards, 1TD and 1 int - rating of 78 ... not great, average but sure not a reason they lost. Game #3 NE 31, Buffalo 17 (game I attended) ...Drew 18/30, 247 yards, 1TD and 1 INT rating of 83 ... score was 17-17 at the end of the 3rd quarter ... Buaffo stops them from scoring and holds them to a FG BUT this happens -1-BUF13 (12:25) A.Vinatieri 31 yard field goal is GOOD, NULLIFIED by Penalty, Center-L.Paxton, Holder-Jo.Miller. PENALTY on BUF-R.Baker, Defensive Offside, 4 yards, enforced at BUF 13 - No Play. 1-9-BUF9 (12:21) C.Dillon left guard to BUF 2 for 7 yards (N.Clements). 2-2-BUF2 (11:24) T.Brady pass to D.Graham for 2 yards, TOUCHDOWN. Caught over middle in back of end zone. So they give up 7 instead of 3 ... which later meant they were lossing 24-17 and had to go for a TD instead of a FG to tie ... which lead to this series 1-10-BUF19 (7:57) T.Henry right end pushed ob at BUF 21 for 2 yards (T.Poole). 2-8-BUF21 (7:28) D.Bledsoe sacked at BUF 20 for -1 yards (V.Wilfork). PENALTY on NE-T.Warren, Personal Foul, 15 yards, enforced at BUF 20. 1-10-BUF35 (6:56) D.Bledsoe pass incomplete to E.Moulds (M.Vrabel). Screen pass batted at line. 2-10-BUF35 (6:49) D.Bledsoe pass to T.Henry to BUF 45 for 10 yards (M.Vrabel). Screen pass over middle, caught at BUF 32. 1-10-BUF45 (6:06) D.Bledsoe pass to E.Moulds to NE 35 for 20 yards (E.Wilson). Caught over middle at NE 37. 1-10-NE35 (5:29) D.Bledsoe pass to E.Moulds to NE 30 for 5 yards (T.Law). Caught at NE 30, right flat. 2-5-NE30 (4:53) T.Henry right guard to NE 24 for 6 yards (R.Harrison). 1-10-NE24 (4:13) T.Henry right guard to NE 22 for 2 yards (T.Johnson). 2-8-NE22 (3:30) D.Bledsoe pass to R.Neufeld pushed ob at NE 16 for 6 yards (T.Poole). Caught at NE 20, left side. 3-2-NE16 (3:24) T.Henry right guard to NE 17 for -1 yards (T.Warren). 4-3-NE17 (2:59) D.Bledsoe sacked at NE 27 for -10 yards (T.Bruschi). FUMBLES (T.Bruschi), RECOVERED by NE-R.Seymour at NE 32. R.Seymour for 68 yards, TOUCHDOWN. So from the NE17 they had to run instead of try a 34 yard FG ... Drew was 4/5 for 41 yards ... and the fumble was the result of about 3 screwups ... So what had been I tight game ended up being a tough lose Game #4 Jets 16 Buffalo 14 - Drew 16/29, 197 yards, 2TDs and 1 int - rating of 84 - Buffalo is leading 14-13 with 6 minutes to go ... Defence lets Jets go 60 yards in 5 minutes and gives up winning FG - Pennington is 7/8 for 51 yards ... So lets see in the fours loses Drew is 64/109 for 795 yards, 5 TD's and 3 INT's for a rating of 85.2 So I guess YOU are right ... they GOT spanked because of Drew ... except thats totally untrue ... but then again why let the facts get in the way !!!
  21. read my reply in "even more BS about Drew being posted" -

  23. The before .......... http://www.countrycharts.com/2Steppin/Lynn%20Anderson.htm The after ....... In this photo released by Denton (Texas) Police Dept., Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, country singer Lynn Anderson, who had a Grammy-winning hit with ``Rose Garden'' in 1970, is shown. Anderson was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, after police found her passed out in her car on the shoulder of an interstate highway in Texas, according to police. 24. Anyone who has added 30-50 lbs in the last 2-3 years ... and that would cover a LOT of players in many sports. Sosa I think for one ...
  25. Drew 17/25 for 198 , 1TD and 2 INTs = 95.2 rating Hasselbeck 7/16 for 57, 0TD and 0 INT's = 100.57 .. so that must mean he is a better QB NOT !
