How much have Bills improved??
PearlHowardman replied to ChanOverChin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When you have a football team with Ryan Fitzpatrick as the QB it's a good idea to set your season expectations very low. Sorry - it's the truth! -
Fan poll, predict the season 2012
PearlHowardman replied to thewildrabbit's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you're onto something. I didn't vote for any of the W-L options because I think the record will be irrelevant. What I'm expecting out of the coming season is QB Ryan Fitzpatrick being average and boring. I think his teammates will realize toward the end of the season that Fitz' limitations will prevent the Bills from going anywhere post season so they'll be disinclined to bust their butt. -
Job Losses Are From Public Sector
PearlHowardman replied to Dave_In_Norfolk's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The US unemployment rate dropped 1/10th of a point in the month of April because 340,000 unemployed Americans stopped looking for jobs that aren't there. I'd love to hear an Obama voter explain their feelings on that ignominious fact! -
Fitz! Will you hit the weightroom already?
PearlHowardman replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fitz IS the starting QB for the Bills and the best he'll ever get this team is an 8-8 record. His limitations won't last a full season. -
Obama's New Campaign ad
PearlHowardman replied to John Adams's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Another self-inflicted wound by Barack Obama. Nothing he does works! He could have taken the high-road by being a statesman but for some dumb reason he and his campaign dragged Mitt Romney into it - when he didn't have to. Many have called the decision to kill Osama Bin Laden that night a year ago as a "no-brainer". A no-brainer that even Jimmy Carter could have gotten right! Obama is an idiot and he has idiots running his reelection campaign. -
So What are the Weakest Links, post-draft
PearlHowardman replied to Geno Smith's Arm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't hate Ryan Fitzpatrick. I just see him for the limited 2nd-string QB that he is so I know that this team isn't going anywhere with him as QB. QB is THE most important position on the team. And our QB is THE weakest link on this team. Once this is 100% obvious to everyone else on the team they'll all give up - what's the point? -
Not with Ryan Fitzpatrack as QB. No way.

President Barack Obama Enjoys Eating Dogs!
PearlHowardman replied to PearlHowardman's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
What does Barack Obama call a dog riding on a car roof? Fast food! What does Barack Obama call a dog show? International buffet! Say what you want about Romney, but at least he only put a dog on the roof of his car, not the roof of his mouth. -
"...I learned how to eat small green chili peppers raw with dinner (plenty of rice), and, away from the dinner table, I was introduced to dog meat (tough)..." Barack Obama Whenever anyone says that they were "introduced" to something it generally means that it was the beginning of something they did for a while and they enjoyed it. Barack Obama has obvious positive memories of eating dog meat as a child. So the question is: Does President Barack Obama still eat dogs?

Secret Service Agents

I agree 90%. Obama is in WAY over his head and his name has to be mentioned. Romney needs to feed the already existing narrative that Obama didn't have enough experience to be POTUS - and that Obama isn't learning and isn't up to the task of being POTUS. Even Joe Biden said that Obama would need on the job training to be POTUS. Republicans are picking Obama's pockets. Democrats are picking Obama's pockets. Tim Geitner is picking Obama's pockets. The Supreme Court laughs at Obama. Obama STILL can't open his mouth without a teleprompter. Obama is a sad, clueless embarrassment and everyone is rolling him for all they can get! Just like Marv Levy said: "The fish rots from the head down." -

The stupid stuff like GSA corruption, Secret Service corruption, White House Quid Pro Quo just underscores that Junior Senator Barack Obama is never going to be anything more than a Junior Senator. As President, Obama is in over his head. He has NO control of anything in Washington, DC. I'm expecting stupid stuff like this to take the wind out the sails the people who voted for Obama in 2008 so they won't vote for him again in November. Obama IS the government! -
GSA corruption. Secret Service corruption. Now this disclosure. The White House and US government - no one is in charge.

No! No freakin' way!! As Buffalo Bills HOF coach Marv Levy was famous for saying "The fish rots from the head down." The US government in Washington, DC is a total mess. Republicans ignore Barack Obama. Democrats ignore Barack Obama. Obama openly argues with the US Supreme Court. Corruption! Obama management by teleprompter is not working!! -

This news plus the news yesterday showing the US Justice Department investigating the GSA underscores how much a mess Washington, DC has become under President Barack Obama. Don't be surprised to see O get hit in new political polls. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/15/world/americas/secret-service-agents-face-questioning-on-misconduct.html?_r=1&hp# Secret Service Agents Face Questioning on Misconduct By JACKIE CALMES and ERIC SCHMITT CARTAGENA, Colombia About a dozen Secret Service agents faced questioning by the agencys internal watchdog on Saturday as part of an investigation into accusations of misconduct involving prostitution here in Cartagena, where President Obama arrived on Friday for a summit meeting. In addition, five United States military service members who were working with the Secret Service unit and staying in the same hotel have been confined to quarters and are facing an investigation because they violated a curfew and might have been involved in inappropriate conduct, the military said. The Secret Service agents had been sent to Colombia to provide support to teams preparing security measures ahead of the presidents arrival. Late last week, the Secret Service abruptly replaced the entire unit.... Jackie Calmes reported from Cartagena, Colombia, and Eric Schmitt from Washington. Charlie Savage and Michael S. Schmidt contributed reporting from Washington, and Matt Flegenheimer from New York. -
NYC Bills Fans - Meet George Wilson
PearlHowardman replied to BillsNYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As someone who lives in Syracuse I can assure you that many Bills fans here have been wanting the Bills to play a pre-season game at the Carrier Dome. Albany and Montreal probably don't care about the Buffalo Bills. But the Bills could mount an easy marketing campaign in the NYC television market saying that they're the only NFL team from New York state. Again, it's amazing to hear people in the NYC area that will not follow the Giants and Jets simply because they now play in New Jersey. -
NYC Bills Fans - Meet George Wilson

On a similar note, I travel to the New York City area on business from my home here in Syracuse. Sometimes the subject of the NFL comes up and I tell people that I'm a Buffalo Bills fan. I don't say that I'm a die-hard fan or anything like that, but just in conversation I do mention that I support the Bills. I cannot tell you how many people in the downstate area that I've met who absolutely refuse to follow the Giants and Jets because they play in New Jersey. They even go as far as to admit that the Buffalo Bills are New York's only NFL team. I've heard many people say this. I don't know why the Bills don't market themselves in the downstate area more. I'm sure they'll pick up more fans. -
Obama couldn't manage a Lemonade Stand. Methinks that the Republicans have all sorts of governmental financial reports on how "Change" wasted and/or lost billions of tax payer dollars on his economic stimulus. And the Republicans will release those reports near the election in November embarrassing Obama. Obama has to GO! Draft Andrew Cuomo NOW!

Democrats need to face facts and realize that Barack Obama just isn't POTUS material. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, a fellow Democrat, is POTUS material. http://www.syracuse.com/news/index.ssf/2012/03/new_york_passes_132_billion_bu.html New York passes $132 billion budget on time for 2nd year in a row Published: Friday, March 30, 2012, 6:08 PM The Associated Press ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — They did it again. New York’s Senate and Assembly passed the state’s second straight on-time budget on Friday, a rarity in the state known for failing at the task most of the time over the last 20 years. The $132.5 billion budget, which was negotiated by Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the Senate Republican and Assembly Democratic majorities, increases spending by 1.9 percent and addresses a nearly $2 billion deficit. For Cuomo, now in his second year, it marks a feat rarely accomplished in Albany and not since 2005. “No sophomore jinx,” said Doug Muzzio, a political science professor at Baruch College. “Another impressive season.” The budget was due by midnight Saturday and will guide state operations through the 2012-13 fiscal year. Legislation approved for the upcoming year, which starts April 1, includes a 4 percent increase for schools and for the Medicaid healthcare system. “With the additional funding, we were able to continue critical school aid programs in this budget, which will help strengthen our schools so that our students can receive the quality education they deserve,” said Assembly Education Committee Chairwoman Catherine Nolan. Cuomo said the aid increase exceeds the inflation rate and is significant in current economic circumstances. “Our priority is education,” he said. Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver agreed with Cuomo that they would have liked to raise it more. He noted the actual increase for education is $805 million, with 71 percent going to districts categorized as high needs. Asked whether he will keep state spending increases under 2 percent in his third year, Cuomo wouldn’t promise. He then signed the first of several budget bills that were passed by the Legislature on Friday. “Obviously we would like to, but before we make a future budget let’s get this one passed,” he told a roomful of reporters, legislators and aides. Republican Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos called it “a solid, solid budget” from a New York government that is functioning again. Sen. Kevin Parker, a Brooklyn Democrat, said the decision-making process had returned to the old Albany method of “three men in a room” that left him and many other lawmakers, including minority legislators, out of the process. “This process is flawed,” he said. The budget bills passed both houses by overwhelming margins.

So there I was, wandering the vast internet during the week of the Super Bowl two months ago and I found this from the 1990-91 Super Bowl XXV season: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZMEDfMecFE You can see at the 3:31 mark of the above video the officials stopped the clock to review an obvious catch by receiver Keith McKeller. It was on the LAST drive of the Bills offense at the end of the game. The announcer even said "That did give the Giants pass rush a little breather." I think that "little breather" was exactly what the defense of the Giants needed to stop the Bills offense. I wonder would the score of Super Bowl XXV been Bills 22/Giants 20 - if the official didn't stop the clock to have the play reviewed. Has anyone seen this before?

Buffalo: The city players want come to

100% correct. Also, this team is going nowhere with backup QB Ryan Fitzpatrick. -
Please don't anyone say Dream Team
PearlHowardman replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There must be something wrong with the Search: feature at the top of the page. I read DREAM TEAM and everyone starts talking about the defense. I wanted to read about the offense side of this DREAM TEAM so I went to the Search: feature and typed 'offense'. No results. Then I typed the word 'Quarterback' in the Search: feature. No results. News Flash: Our QB Ryan Fitzpatrick is barely average. And if we have a barely average QB on our team don't expect much and don't expect anyone to be calling the Buffalo Bills a DREAM TEAM! -
We have a VERY solid defense. By mid season their only incentive to play well will be being selected to be on the AFC Pro Bowl. ...sorry!
