  1. "What can go wrong will go wrong." And "Expect the unexpected."
  2. I may as well get this off my chest: If we have a QB that can't get it done and get us into the playoffs this organization is in big trouble long term. Myself, I don't see Fitz getting the Bills anywhere near the playoffs. When your football team has a completely ineffective (to put it mildly) QB, giving away football games, the rest of the team falls apart. I constantly think about the Bills re: the playoffs and I don't see this team in the playoffs for probably several years. And several years from now the team will have new coaches, a new QB, Mario Williams on the downside of his career, and not unlikely the Bills will be playing in a different city. This organization has no margin for mediocrity with regard to their lease. I seriously doubt the state of NY will give a losing football team any tax payer money to stay and no one will be left to complain if the state doesn't.
  3. I was trolling through some Jets fans forums and they essentially agree that Sunday's game was more of a huge embarrassing Bills cluster f**k loss than a big Jets victory. Many even credit Fitz for giving the game to the Jets. Now THAT'S bad!
  4. I don't know if any other Bills fan realizes it yet but on Sunday Buffalo Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick was essentially playing for the New York Jets. Fitzpatrick may as well have been playing in a Jets uniform. His three turnovers lead to 21 Jets points. Three absolutely horrible passes. So, is Fitzpatrick going to be playing for the Chiefs on Sunday? That is to say, is he going to be throwing easy picks to Chiefs defenders? Will Fitzpatrick be in a Chiefs uniform?
  5. Agreed - they're annoying. And for the posts that are started during a game and then locked - mods should open them back up at the conclusion of the game.
  6. Agreed! Then human nature does what it does to the teammates of the failing QB and the teammates decide to essentially quit. Why bother playing hard when the QB is throwing game losing interceptions?
  7. Excellent post! Fitz is just killing this team!!! And FWIW, it was a bad weekend for CNY football The SU Orange lose to USC and the very next day in the very same stadium the Bills lose to the Jets.
  8. If you're playing on the defensive unit of a football team, and your QB keeps throwing interceptions that likely lead to losing the game, how hard are you going to play? What's that word? Sisyphean?
  9. Nope! No way - this defense knows Fitz' limitations. So they mail it in! I don't blame them one bit if they do.
  10. The Bills should call Erie County Community College (ECCC) and and hire their football team QB. Fitz' interceptions today were HORRIBLE throws! Simply stupid, incompetent passes. And he probaly could have thrown 1-2 more if the Jets were awake. If I'm someone like Mario Williams, and I see the team QB floundering in preseason practices and game, I'm really not going to waste my time playing hard - when Fitz keeps turning the ball over. Why would I?
  11. When the team QB throws interceptions on the first two offensive series of the game the defensive players start to collectively think: Why the F should I even try? Does that make sense?
  12. No, way too many members for just one President. If you want an accurate fan opinion of the Buffalo Bills, come to Syracuse. We are the smartest, Buffalo Bills fans around.
  13. Yup - just like it is in Rochester and Buffalo. I spend time in all three cities - it's the same everywhere.
  14. I live in CNY - Syracuse. I don't think that we're a dying breed. It's just that when the Bills don't make the playoffs for 12 seasons you can expect fans to lose interest. We have SU Orange college football in our back yard. If the Bills put 10 or more wins in the record book this year CNY will be just as pumped for the Buffalo Bills as any fan in Buffalo or Rochester.
  15. This is THE reason why we lost SB XXV. I've always felt that the NFL Hall Of Fame committee that voted Marv Levy in to the HOF realized that they were finally giving him the Ring that his 1990-1991 Buffalo Bills players denied him when they lost SB XXV due to their player partying in Tampa excesses.
  16. The players were unmanagable a-holes. Jim Kelly was the biggest one. I feel bad not only for Marv Levy but for Bill Polian and Ralph Wilson for having these egotistical jerks on their team. The Bills should have won SB XXV by a score of 38-20 if the team had grown ups playing the game. Re: Marv Levy as GM. This was all Ralph Wilson's idea. Wilson dragged Marv from retirement to do him a favor.
  17. Drinking on the bus AND drinking games on the bus!
  18. Jim Kelly was a total ball-hog for wanting to throw. Two, three, perhaps four more touches by Thurman Thomas in the late 4th quarter and the Bills win. The Bills defense gave up WAY too many big plays!! These tired Bills defensive players were in the Tampa bars all week while the Giants offense was sleeping and getting valuable rest. But, FWIW - if the Giants beat SF by a score of 51-3 and the Bills beat the Raiders by a score of 15-12 it would have likely been the Giants players out partying and the Bills players sleeping in their hotels. The Bills momentum from the AFC Championship game was probably psychologically unstoppable while the Giants left their game scared to death having beat SB by only 3 points and scoring no TDs.
  19. The older I get the more I miss coach Marv Levy. Too bad he had a bunch of Prima donnas on the Bills team in 1990-1991 that cost the Bills SB XXV. No coach in the NFL could have successfully managed these arrogant, self-centered, selfish players. The Bills win the AFC Championship 51-3 and then they lost all self-control. They went out and partied too much the week before the SB, burning precious energy. On the other hand the NY Giants players met curfew and were well rested for the big game. I still resent all those a-hole players on that team. Marv Levy is in the pro football Hall Of Fame, though - something his greedy players couldn't deny from him.
  20. Week 1: Bills 41 - Jets 7 Season Prediction: 8-8 P.S. Jon Gruden on ESPN predicted less than 8 victories for the Bills this season solely because of our weakness at QB. Gruden knows what he's talking about.
  21. All of those SB winning teams have very, very good starting quarterbacks. We have second-string QB Ryan Fitzpatrick as our starter.
  22. BOY TRAPPED IN REFRIGERATOR EATS OTHER FOOT
  23. They were out of energy. They burned all of their energy in the Tampa bars during the week. The Giants were fully rested for this game, owing to their team curfew compliance.
