  1. The second that the Buffalo Bills were officially eliminated from the playoffs last week the most important thing for this team was the 2014 NFL draft. Period! So what do the Bills do? They beat the Jacksonville Jaguars and then they beat the Miami Dolphins. Both victories only worsen our 2014 draft position. Bravo! You are a very bright Buffalo Bills fan. People around here just can't see things long term. Meaningless wins in December when the Bills are already out of the playoffs are even less than meaningless. These victories only make the 2014 draft position WORSE!!!
  2. Only in fantasy land. The Buffalo Bills continue to screw themselves with regard to the 2014 NFL draft. Likely the Bills will end up in last place in the AFC East this year. No playoffs. This time next week the win over the Jaguars and Dolphins will mean absolutely nothing positive. Nice time to start playing well. When the season is already OVER!!!!!
  3. NYS football championships are held here in Syracuse at the Carrier Dome. Even the big "AA" schools don't draw a lot of their own fans at the games. Worse, NYC and LI schools don't even compete in the NYS tournament. I don't think that HS football in NYS is much to be proud of anyhow.
  4. Ralph Wilson is CHEAP!!
  5. A football stadium in Batavia would bring in fans from Buffalo, Rochester, and Syracuse and even Utica. Sellout games all year long. Right off the New York State Thruway. It can't be any easier! It's a no-brainer!
  6. The Buffalo Bills should move! Orchard Park, NY is not a good place for the Buffalo Bills. Niagara Falls, NY or Batavia, NY are good places for the Buffalo Bills. Re: Blackout - It looks like Watertown and Binghamton/Elmira are the only two markets in NY where Sunday's Bills-Dolphins game is being broadcast. East of Utica it's the Jets.
  7. Hope is not a strategy. And you definitely are not alone with regard to doubting the competence of Bills HC Doug Marrone. He never really did anything here at Syracuse University. The knowledgeable SU fans have always maintained that the NFL is over Doug Marrone's head.
  8. EJ's *lack of* progress is directly related to a coaching staff who have no idea what they are doing. EJ is not playing in Sunday's game against Miami but is expected to play against New England, the last game of the season. I can't remember a Buffalo Bills season that was a complete waste like this year has been. Two weeks from now when the NFL season ends for the Buffalo Bills we can look back at 2013 and form no credible opinions. None. Rookie coaching staff or not, that means Bad Coaching!
  9. "Coach speak" hides incompetency. I'm from Syracuse and I was high as a kite when the Buffalo Bills selected SU Orange coach Doug Marrone, et al, to lead them. Nowadays I feel the exact opposite about Marrone and his former SU Orange staff since they've been coaching the Buffalo Bills. I really have NO faith in any/all of them. And I was warned by a lot of SU Orange fans here in Syracuse but I ignored their warnings. And as I get older I realize that coaching is everything. EJ Manuel isn't the greatest QB in the NFL and with Marrone, et al, coaching him I expect EJ to just get worse over time.
  10. in NJ a little snow IS a big problem. Moreover, most of the fans will be staying in Manhattan and then take shuttles to Metlife Stadium in NJ to see the game. If it snows or they get freezing rain how are the thousands of fans going to get from NYC to the Meadowlands? Chicago would have been a much better idea to hold the Super Bowl in a cold climate. The stadium isn't far from too many things.
  11. According to above map it looks like Watertown, NY has the Bills game, too.
  12. According to below linked NFL broadcast map the game is being broadcast in the Binghamton/Elmira area. http://506sports.com/nfl.php?yr=2013&wk=16
  13. Buffalo Bills # 27 in the CBS Power Rankings. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/powerrankings
  14. I saw Marrone, et al, coach here at SU. I was never impressed. I guess I got carried away when the SU Orange coaching staff went to the Buffalo Bils of the NFL. Now I'm back down to the planet Earth and back to seeing the severe long term limitations of Marrone, et al. You're right about that! When the Bills are winning and looking good I LOVE to talk about it with actual people face-to-face. When they stink I come here.
  15. I'm from Syracuse and I was big-time psyched when SU Orange football coaches Marrone, et al, were selected to coach the Buffalo Bills. A lot of SU fans around me thought completely otherwise. They said i was wearing "rose colored glasses" and that Marrone, et al, would never succeed in Buffalo. They were right. I was wrong.
  16. Lousy/hopeless coaching will do that to a football quarterback
  17. Lousy/hopeless coaching will do that to a football team.
  18. Reading posts from Bills fans here reminds me of two things: 1. Why this organization hasn't been to the playoffs for 14 seasons. 2. Why I can't recruit fellow Bills fans to post on this board. They read what's here and think it's little kids posting comments.
  19. Had the Bills gone into today's game already eliminated from the playoffs like the Jags were, I bet they would have been tempted to lose - for a good draft position. Advantage, Jacksonville.
  20. And blow their high draft position?
  21. A true fan of the Buffalo Bills right now would be focusing on the 2014 draft position for this team. Nothing else. They have been eliminated from the 2013-2014 playoffs.
  22. Congratulations EJ Manuel - your Buffalo Bills team just won a football game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Oh yeah - the Buffalo Bills have been officially eliminated from the playoffs.
  23. No, I was not kidding. Not at all.
  24. For The Record: The Jacksonville Jaguars threw the game because they knew they were already out of the playoffs and a Win today would have jeopardized their draft spot.
