  1. Rookie QB EJ Manuel injured both of his knees a total of three times this season. Rookie QB EJ Manuel intimated yesterday that he might have knee surgery on one of his knees during the off-season.
  2. I actually ran into CableLady (Harriet) and PetrinoInBeacon a few months ago outside of Binghamton. It was a weird encounter for sure. All three of us are big SU Orange fans. All three of us were PROUD when the SU Orange football coaching staff moved west to coach the Buffalo Bills. All three of us were disappointed that the Buffalo Bills never selected SU Orange QB Ryan Nassib in the 2013 NFL draft. All three of us felt that the Bills drafting Nassib would have helped the rookie coaching staff in Buffalo. All three of us felt that Nassib would have helped the former SU Orange now Buffalo Bills coaching getting settled in their first year in the NFL.
  3. The Bills should have taken Nassib and not taken EJ. Former SU QB Nassib would have helped Marrone and all the other SU coaches through their first year in the NFL. Then they would have been able to find a permanent QB. Opportunity lost.
  4. Yup! Brittle, fragile, skills-challenged, injury-prone QB EJ Manuel + .500 college level head coach in Doug Marrone, et al, does not = success!
  5. It's the thin-skinned, anger-filled posts like yours that I use as a barometer to measure overall fan sentiment regarding Marrone, Manuel and the future of the Buffalo Bills. Doug Marrone had little experience before CHEAP Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson hired him. Yup, it was CHEAP Ralph to hire .500 Syracuse University football coach Doug Marrone. It's not a numbers judgement. It's just watching how both Marrone and Manuel are really clueless a large majority of the game. Worse, EJ Manuel IS INJURY PRONE!
  6. NY Jets coach Rex Ryan will still be coaching the Jets next year. And from what I saw from Jets QB Geno Smith today, he looked pretty good in their win over Miami.
  7. New England has a competent and experienced coaching staff. Buffalo has .500 college level coaches who are hopelessly in over their collective head. It's that simple.
  8. I think that Bill Cowher is sick. He barely has a voice when he's talking on television. It's been like that for a while.
  9. Because he was never that good here in Syracuse. And I just didn't see anything that he did this year to give me much hope for the future. Marrone is like Barack Obama - inexperienced and completely in over his head. Worse, the Bills have a high-maintenance QB in EJ Manuel. Manuel needs a lot of coaching (not to mention fewer injuries if that's possible) and I just don't see Marrone + Manuel = success.
  10. Mike - What was the reaction of SU Orange fans in Syracuse to the hiring of SU football coach Doug Marrone, et al, to coach the Buffalo Bills? I live in Syracuse, too, and I was more than excited and a proud homer to see the SU coaching staff move west to Buffalo. But in all honesty I would estimate that 75% of the people around here told me that the Bills hiring the SU coaching staff was a BAD IDEA for Buffalo. I now realize that those people were right.
  11. Doug Marrone was the right man for the right price. Ralph Wilson is CHEAP! And being CHEAP gets the Buffalo Bills absolutely nowhere!
  12. EJ Manuel is a China-doll, fragile, brittle QB being coached by a .500 college level coaching staff.
  13. Kind of along this line, opposing coaches never have enough tape on EJ nor do they ever know which Bills QB they'll be facing, to make any game planning. It's been like this all season for opposing coaches. To me this is why the Bills have looked OK in many of their losses. Today isn't the first time that our 48 hours later opponent didn't know which Bills QB they'll be facing.
  14. The best NFL teams have great coaches. The Buffalo Bills have college .500 level coaches.
  15. Buffalo Bills at #26 spot. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/powerrankings
  16. I'm in Syracuse so naturally I'm a BIG SU Orange fan. And when SU Orange coaches Marrone, et al, were selected to lead the NFL Buffalo Bills I was thrilled! But most SU fans around here said "No, no Pearl. Marrone, et al, are barely college level coaches, much less NFL level coaches. They'll only tank the Buffalo Bills. Typical cheap hire by Bills owner Ralph Wilson." Initially I ignored those nay-sayers. Now I've turned into one of those nay-sayers.
  17. EJ will be another Losman, Edwards, Fitz, et al. Worse, the current Bills coaching staff are likely to go down as the worst coaching staff in team history. ...whatever!
  18. I didn't say that ALL college coaches are a bad thing. I just said that when Marrone, et al, were here at Syracuse University they really did nothing to impress anyone. Everyone around here warned me that the Bills were making a BIG mistake hiring him/them but I ignored everyone. It's beginning to look like everyone here in Syracuse who said the Bills hiring Marrone, et al, was a bad idea were 100% right! Worse, this coaching staff will never develop EJ Manuel into a NFL QB. GO SU ORANGE! GO BUFFALO BILLS!
  19. You select one game out the whole season of bad Buffalo Bills football and you say that I'm myopic? I'm from Syracuse and I was high as a kite about Marrone, et al, coming to the Buffalo Bills. Now my opinion has changed 100%.
  20. I'm not PO'd that the Bills won. I'm PO'd that the Bill started winning when they were already out of the playoffs. Was today's victory only the first time this season that the Bills won two games in a row?
  21. ...what? Winning games at the end of the season, when the Bills are already eliminated, only worsens the team draft position for 2014. Winning meaningless December games mean nothing next season.
  22. The whole coaching staff for the Buffalo Bills are college level coaches who are in over their heads. Not good. Amateurs. We have little in the way of QBs and even less in the way of coaches who know how to develop/coach QBs.
