  1. I work for the same company that David W. Harper works for. Harper played "Jim Bob Walton" on the television series "The Waltons". More specifically, Harper works with one of my bosses.
  2. Just how do you come up with a name like 'Gorilla Monsoon'?
  3. I'm a co-worker of David Harper - he played "Jim-Bob" on the television series "The Waltons". He's a SD fan and uses the Power Rankings as a sort of list of AFC and NFC playoff contenders. Right now the Bills are the 9th highest ranked AFC team. And only the top six make the playoffs.
  4. You should PM Bill From NYC and ask him to spread the word down there. $55.00 is dirt cheap.
  5. ...oh, yeah - Kyle Orton needs to hit the road, too! Orton is a below-average to average QB.
  6. One step up and two steps back. The sooner that the current Buffalo Bills coaching staff is out of Buffalo the better. Yesterdays' win only prolonged their stay.
  7. When Henry Petrino was on his cell phone with Jay Rosen you could see that Henry was mad. I'm pretty sure he's angry about the lousy long-term QB situation the Bills have. Just before I got there, Henry and Harriet were talking about how former President Bill Clinton calls the Buffalo Bills the 'Buffaluh Billyusses' - pretty funny.
  8. I'm not exactly sure where we met but it was somewhere between Syracuse (where I'm from) and Binghamton but closer to Binghamton. It was outside and it was dark. cablelady is from the Elmira area and we're both big Syracuse University football fans. After the Bills selected Doug Marrone as the new Bills head coach we were both very excited. We both felt that in the 2013 draft the Bills should have taken SU quarterback Ryan Nassib. Nassib and Marrone already had a working relationship which would have given Doug Marrone a decent first hear as an NFL head coach and he could have figured out what his QB needs for year two (this year) would need to be. The Bills never should have selected EJ Manue - for Doug Marrone's sake. I didn't really talk with Henry Petrino, though. I think he was on his cell phone with Jay Rosen but he was listening to what cablelady and I talked about. What's weird is that this happened on the night that the New England Patriots just beat the Buffalo Bills. Not only did the Bills loss weigh heavily on my mind but the reality that for the next two seasons, at least, the best the Bills can hope for is a wild card playoff slot finally sunk in! . NE has the AFCE locked up for the next two years, at least. I didn't mention this to cablelady. I also couldn't remember her name until today - it's Harriet. It was about 11:45 PM when all of this occurred.
  9. Where was Buffalo Bills President Russ Brandon sitting yesterday? Didn't he say he grew up in Syracuse as a Patriots fan? I'm from Syracuse and have never met a New England Patriots fan around here. Eastern NYS probably yes.
  10. Where are these Patriots fans from? New York? I understand that Saratoga County and other parts of eastern NYS have a lot of Patriots fans, being so close to VT/MA (NE).
  11. Book It: The Buffalo Bills will finish second in the AFC East but not make the playoffs.
  12. The Financial Bottom Line: Terry Pegula may have purchased the Buffalo Bills this week for $1.4 billion but Bill Belichick and Tom Brady of the New England Patriots have owned the Buffalo Bills already for many, many years.
  13. I don't think we did have a chance to tie the game. Belichick and Brady know exactly what they are doing every time they face the Buffalo Bills. Every. Single. Time.
  14. Makes NO difference against the Patriots. None. Nada. As long as Bill Belichick and Tom Brady are on the Patriots, the Bills have a problem that will never be solved. 2014 Round 1 went to the Patriots. 2014 Round 2 will go to the Patriots, too.
  15. Syracuse barely registers in the mid-Hudson Valley/NYC/LI. SU has a lot of students from Buffalo, from what I understand. So there should be more SU fans there. Albany is a weird place to begin with so I'll never figure them out.
  16. A college football team located a few miles from Canada will never become a NYS college team. SU football is big here in Syracuse, (duh), Utica-Rome, Binghamton-Elmira, Watertown, and Rochester. It should be big in Buffalo and Albany, too.
  17. Based on Facebook "likes": http://www.nytimes.c...&abt=0002&abg=0 Q. Are the Syracuse Orange not popular in Buffalo? They barely register on above map. Are the Syracuse Orange not popular in Albany? They barely register on the map, too. The lower Hudson Valley/NYC/LI show little support for the Syracuse Orange. So much for "New York's College Team".
  18. The SU Orange football team just lost to Louisville. When SU loses, the Bills follow with a loss.
  19. I'm just being realistic as well as look at things long term.
  20. It's not about beating Detroit, it's about beating New England. Kyle Orton has to be big-time rusty. The Detroit game should get Orton back in the swing of NFL things getting him ready for New England.
  21. /unsure The Jets have their training camp in Cortland and I have NEVER known anyone from here in Syracuse that attended it. And I've never even had a conversation with anyone about the Jets training camp.
  22. Here in Syracuse the local CBS affiliate is part of the Bills broadcast network so we always get Bills games. I don't understand why the CBS affiliate down in Binghamton isn't part of the Bills broadcast network. Everything west of Binghamton is solid Bills fans.
  23. You've already started. GO__________________________________!
