Rex Ryan is an idiot. He's a loud-mouth. And he's a jack-ass. And he had an overall losing record with the Jets.

doesnt defense win championships
PearlHowardman replied to clearwater cadet's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What would blabber-mouth Rex Ryan know about winning football championships? In six seasons he went 46-50 with the NY Jets. His first two years in NY he was able to capitalize on the a lot of personnel that was there before he was HC. In his last four years with the Jets the best he could accomplish was 8-8 - twice. -
I'm sorry, but I think we took a big step back

Rex Ryan is a loud-mouth clown! Whenever the Bills played the Jets I always wanted to see Ryan lose, not so much the Jets team. The Pegulas just got hosed! -

Outstanding summary! Are you from Syracuse, New York? Because I am. And we Syracuse Bills fans are the most sensible Bills fans there are. And there are a lot of Bills fans here in Syracuse giving a big thumbs down to the new coaches. Not because former SU coaches left the Bills but because we don't like Ryan, et al. -
Rex and Hackett walk into a bar...
PearlHowardman replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1. I am serious. 2. I will be proven right. 3. Rex Ryan doesn't know how to develop an offense. Or a QB. The Buffalo Bills need a HC who can do that. Not an OC. -

Rex Ryan is a thin-skinned, loud-mouth, egotistical jerk! I just don't see him fitting in in Buffalo. The first time something goes wrong, Ryan will throw someone under the bus. He'll publicly point fingers. He'll alienate too many people in and outside of the Buffalo Bills. Plus, the Buffalo Bills really need a head coach whom can develop an offense and quarterback. Thumbs down! -
How fun it must be to be the Pegulas

Their professional hockey team, the Buffalo Sabres, is the second worst team in the NHL. Trend regarding the Buffalo Bills? -
HC hiring timeline - how long will it take?

You're right! And because you (and other posters in this thread) are right, it means that the Buffalo Bills are worse than I originally thought! -
HC hiring timeline - how long will it take?

It won't make any difference. Doug Whaley is going to force EJ Manuel on the new HC and OC. And that's going to lead to disaster. -
Again, forget the Buffalo media. And forget the Rochester media, too! It's the Syracuse media that covers the Buffalo Bills the best! Both television and newsprint. And the (we) Buffalo Bills fans in Syracuse are also the the smartest, least-delusional, level headed, Buffalo Bills fans there are.

Hopefully you have all noticed that TWS links a lot of Syracuse Post-Standard news articles about the Buffalo Bills. If you want to know anything about the Buffalo Bills, then follow the Syracuse media. If you want to know anything about the Buffalo Bills, talk to a Bills fan from Syracuse.

Are the Pegulas in Over Their Heads?
PearlHowardman replied to jjmac's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's far too many personnel to replace in one season. Far too much experience, both winning and losing, completely lost. Year three of any coaching tenure - a year where the coach can look back on the previous two years and learn from their mistakes. Gone! Now the Bills have to hire a new HC, a new OC, and find a QB. It will take at least one season for these three new hires to work together. -
Are the Pegulas in Over Their Heads?
PearlHowardman replied to jjmac's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"The honeymoon is over, folks. One week after the end of the regular season, there’s blood in the water and the Pegulas are in over their heads." The "blood" being losing QB Kyle Orton, HC Doug Marrone, OC Nate Hackett, and former GM Bill Polian. "When the Bills finished 9-7, their first winning season in 10 years, it was tempting to see them as a team on the rise." To have kept the Buffalo bills a "team on the rise" they needed to keep as many key personnel from the 2014 season as possible. Instead the Bills lost key personnel. 2015 Season Prediction: 6-10 -

You nailed it! But Sullivan nailed it first! The collective denial and ignorance of Buffalo Bills fans in the past two weeks is amazing! -

No matter whom the Bills hire as a HC, when your team has to hire a new HC, a new OC and (likely) new QB it's going to take at least one season for everyone to learn to work together. That's a lot of turnover to absorb in one season. So, we're looking at the 2016 season, then. -
My final thoughts on Saint Dougie
PearlHowardman replied to BmarvB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Complete, total denial of Bills fans here. 2015 would have been year three of the Doug Marrone coaching era in Buffalo. Year three, an important year in any coach's tenure. In the third year of HC Doug Marrone with OC Nate Hackett, former GM Bill Polian and new Bills owner Terry Pegula would have given this team valuable leadership. Year three - when Terry Pegula and Bill Polian would have had a long off-season working with HC Doug Marrone and OC Nate Hackett and QB Kyle Orton. Year three - when Terry Pegula and Bill Polian would have looked at the previous two years of HC Doug Marrone and OC Nate Hackett, and Kyle Orton, found where they did things wrong, and insisted on change. Now the Buffalo Bills offense is back to square one. P.S. The clock is ticking on the Buffalo Bills defense. They're not going to be around forever. P.S.S. Bill Polian wanted to come back to Buffalo because he saw a football team on the upswing. Bill Polian changed his mind about Buffalo being on the upswing and decided against coming to Buffalo. If you can't see this you are completely blind. -
My final thoughts on Saint Dougie
PearlHowardman replied to BmarvB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What people here think of Bill Polian is completely irrelevant. It's what Buffalo Bills owner Terry Pegula thought of Bill Polian that counts. Pegula wanted Polian to join the Bills. Polian wanted to join the Bills because he felt that he could have had a positive impact. Polian decided not to join the Bills when Bills QB Kyle Orton and HC Doug Marrone left. In the past two weeks QB Kyle Orton blew off the Buffalo Bills, HC Doug Marrone blew off the Buffalo Bills, and former GM Bill Polian blew off the Buffalo Bills. And the Bills are losing an offensive coordinator. That's four key people that the Bills are losing. Four key people that could have improved in Year Three of HC Doug Marrone - a critical year in any coach's tenure. Now the Bills are starting from scratch. Rebuild! -

PearlHowardman replied to BmarvB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just don't see that. Bill Polian changing his mind and declining Terry Pegula's offer to join the Buffalo Bills is all the evidence anyone needs to realize that the Buffalo Bills are a disaster right now. -

So the new Buffalo Bills owner, Terry Pegula, sees the positives that you just posted and decides to offer former Buffalo Bills GM Bill Polian a position with the Bills. Polian initially accepts but when Polian sees QB Kyle Orton leave and then the HC Doug Marrone leave, Polian decides to decline Terry Pegula's employment offer. How is all of this not a disaster for the Buffalo Bills?
