What does keeping Rex a 3rd year accomplish?
PearlHowardman replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Syracuse, New York: Should have kept Doug Marrone and the Bills are headed to the AFC playoffs. -
“What is more, no wise man, men trained in things divine and human, believed in him (lying, false Prophet Muhammad) from the beginning. Those who believed in him were BRUTAL men and desert wanderers, utterly IGNORANT of all divine teaching, through whose numbers Mohammed FORCED others to become his followers by the VIOLENCE of his arms.” FATHER THOMAS AQUINAS

The way the NFL defines flex scheduling with broadcast networks,a Buffalo Bills home game might not be broadcast in Buffalo. Still, there's easily more Bills fans here in Syracuse, than NJ Giants fans. Here's a poll that proves that: http://www.syracuse.com/axeman/index.ssf/2015/10/is_syracuse_a_bills_or_a_giants_town_hint_its_neither.html

The Buffalo Bills should build a new stadium in Batvia, NY. This way many more Bills fans from Syracuse, get a bigger influence on the Bills and the Bills become a winning NFL program again. (Should have kept Marrone!)
-
The consensus among Buffalo Bills fans here in Syracuse, New York is that the Buffalo Bills should have done anything to keep former SU football coach Doug Marrone as the Head Coach. The Buffalo Bills were on an upswing with Marrone. And the Buffalo Bills would be playoff contenders right now. Maybe the Buffalo Bills should move to Syracuse.

Very sensible, organized, balanced post. You must be from Syracuse, New York or have some link to Syracuse, New York. Syracuse, New York: Home of the most sensible, smartest, non-rose colored wearing Buffalo Bills fans in existence. If you ever go to a Buffalo Bills home game, seek out a Bills fan from Syracuse - should be easy to find. They'll tell you everything you need to know about the Buffalo Bills.
-
How did the Syracuse University Orange marching band look during their half-time show? Did they "rock"? Note: This is my second post this season and the SU band is all I care about today. Being a Buffalo Bills fan here in Syracuse, I like to come here to read comments and laugh. The comments I read here during the Bills four game "win" streak were most laughable. I think a lot of Buffalo Bills fans here in Syracuse, do the exact same thing, though. Disclosure: Buffalo Bills fans in Syracuse, New York are the most knowledgeable, sensible, smartest, non-rose colored sunglasses wearing Buffalo Bills fans in existence.

I often hear people here saying that "we should boycott the Buffalo Bills". Well, Buffalo Bills fans in Syracuse, New York do exactly that.

FOX in Syracuse is a NFC network. That's why they don't broadcast the AFC Buffalo Bills games. The CBS television channel in Syracuse is part of the Buffalo Bills broadcasting network. Syracuse.com ran a poll last year as to which is the favorite NFL team for the Syracuse area NFL fans. The Bills beat the Giants by 17 points in the poll. http://www.syracuse.com/axeman/index.ssf/2015/10/is_syracuse_a_bills_or_a_giants_town_hint_its_neither.html When the Buffalo Bills suck, everyone in Syracuse deny any knowledge of the Buffalo Bills. When the Buffalo Bills are good everyone in Syracuse jumps on the bandwagon. Everyone. No. Syracuse NFL fans overwhelmingly support the Buffalo Bills. But when the Buffalo Bills management puts a lousy product on the field, the Buffalo Bills fans in Syracuse are smart enough to look elsewhere until the Buffalo Bills management put a good product on the field. Perhaps Bills fans in Buffalo, Rochester, etc should do the same.

Because the Giants were completely unprepared for the Bills pass offense that was about to execute a play. That's why game commentator Frank Gifford said "That (play review/stoppage in play) gave the Giants a little breather." Without the Giants gift of a "little breather" it's highly likely that the Bills would have had a successful pass play. Jim Kelly had all of his receivers, including Thurman Thomas, all lined up on the LOS to the right, ready to catch a pass and go out of bounds. The Giants players were not ready for that play - watch the video - it's all right there. That would have set up one more play before Bills kicker Scott Norwood kicks the Super Bowl winning field goal. Norwood would have been well within his FG range. "little breather"

Thank you. Not only was McKeller's catch 100% legitimate, it begs the question of why did the official call for the review of a 100% OBVIOUS catch. And why did the official wait until the Buffalo Bills pass offense was lined up against the Giants defense that was completely unprepared for the play. The call for a review I can possibly live with. The call for a review plus the timing of the call for a review is just way too suspicious. No Buffalo Bills fans should accept this.
-
Watch the video. And explain what happened regarding McKeller's 100% obvious catch. The official's completely unnecessary call kept Buffalo Bills kicker Scott Norwood out of FG range. Or should I say, Super Bowl XXV winning FG range? Some posters here see what I see. Some posters here have watched the video.
-
Not only was the call to review McKeller's OBVIOUS CATCH fishy but so was the timing of the call. The game official decided to review the call after something like 8 seconds ticked off the clock as well as the Buffalo Bills pass offense was lined up against the Giants pass defense who were in dissaray. Also, as I mentioned earlier, I noticed this several years ago when watching a review of the game.
-
Right! But the game official prevented the Buffalo Bills from getting off a pass play. The Buffalo Bills pass offense was set up and almost got off the play but the game official decided to review an OBVIOUS CATCH. I challenge anyone here to look at McKeller's catch and find any reason to have the OBVIOUS CATCH reviewed. And why did the official take so long to call for the review? It wasn't an accident. The call to review an OBVIOUS CATCH and the timing of the call to have it reviewed completely screwed the Buffalo Bills out of winning Super Bowl XXV.

The Giants gift of a "little breather" from the officials is what decided the game. Sad. -

Not only was the catch so obvious but the call for the review came at a very suspicious time - something like 8 seconds after the catch. Just when the Buffalo Bills pass offense was set to take advantage of the Giants pass defense that was not prepared to defend the play. The Super Bowl XXV game officials gave the game to the New York Giants via the "little breather" of a Keith McKeller pass review that stopped the Buffalo Bills pass offense in the last 40 seconds of the game. That gift "little breather" that the Giants were given kept Buffalo Bills kicker Scott Norwood out of his FG range. Buffalo Bills - 22 New York Giants - 20 Buffalo Bills - Super Bowl XXV Champions -
Can you please explain why the game official called for a review of an obvious McKeller catch? Can you also explain why the official took so much time to make the decision to call for a review? Can you also explain why the official called for a review when the Buffalo Bills pass offense was lined up against the Giants pass defense that was in disarray? Can you also explain what Frank Gifford's two words "little breather" mean to you? Can you project what the outcome of Super Bowl XXV would have been if the game official didn't give the Giants the gift of that "little breather"?
-
I apologize for ruining your Sunday. But the NFL ruined the Buffalo Bills chances to win Super Bowl XXV. The game official gave the Giant a "little breather" to keep Bills kicker Scott Norwood out of FG range. Mckeller's catch was 100% legitimate and no way did it need any kind of review. None. No freaking way!

The Buffalo Bills were screwed out of winning Super Bowl XXV by the NFL. Proof here: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/184748-25-years-ago-today-the-bills-were-robbed-of-sb-xxv/
