  1. ...and Obama's tax policies will force companies to leave the US.
  2. I posted that wrong since I considered western New England part of the Albany SMSA.
  3. From what I understand the Jests fans in the "CD" have a serious inferiority complex to the highly successful Gints and always have. Thus, the lack of Jests shirts/garbage visible to the eye.
  4. This was about 3-4 years ago and I'm pretty sure it was I-90 since I can't think of any other way I would possibly drive in to Massachusetts. Pretty weird area, NFL-wise for the Albany market. Gints, Jests, and the nearby Pats*. I still remember the picture of former NY Gov. Eliot Spitzer on his first day in office. Jogging around the state capitol in Albany wearing a Gints cap. That totally p****d me off. Pataki was a big Gints fan, too. Anyone know where Gov. David Paterson's NFL allegiance is? Or does he just not care? Still, any Buffalo-Miami game should be a much better draw than the Jests-Chiefs match up - anywhere.
  5. Why doesn't John McCain present it that way, I wonder.
  6. Infinite wisdom or simply way outnumbered by Jests fans in Albany. I still can't believe that about 30 miles due east of Albany there's a road sign when entering the Common Wealth of Massachusetts showing the SB NE Patriots WITHOUT an asterisk (*). Move out here to Syracuse. Bills games almost always on TV.
  7. Are there ANY John McCain voters out there who can explain why McCain didn't make this a corner piece of his Presidential campaign? Obama is inexperienced. Pelosi & Reid are inept. Add them together and you get trouble. While you're at it could you please explain why McCain never mentions Obama's pathetic 130 "Present" votes in the Illinois State Legislature, no "Change" anywhere in Obama's record, Obama's 150 or so days in the US Senate before he decided to run for President, and , most importantly, Joe Biden continually questioning Obama's preparedness to be President?
  8. Two-day trip from Albany? I guess that makes sense, though I have heard of some crazy fans from Albany doing it in one day. The Ralph is an easy day trip from Syracuse.
  9. The Buffalo Bills are 5-1 while the New Jersey Jests are...a lot less than 5-1. WE'RE IN FIRST PLACE IN THE AFC EAST - doesn't that count for anything in Albany?
  10. P.S. Does Amtrak still have the Buffalo Bills Express trains on game day from Albany? I knew of a few Bills fans here in Syracuse that used that a couple of times. But it's easier just to get on the NYS Thruway and drive yourself.
  11. Wow! Is it really that bad for Bills fans in Albany? The struggling Jets vs. Missouri Chiefs? People in Albany actually care about that game? The Buffalo-Miami game is always an awesome match up - even if you're not even a fan of either team. FWIW the Buffalo Bills - Miami Dolphins game is on here in Syracuse!!
  12. It was no gaffe. It's a pattern that Joe Biden displays over and over. If McCain was smart he would run ads featuring all the things that Biden has said about Obama NOT being ready to be President.
  13. "Mark my words, it will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy." "I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate," Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. "And he's gonna need help. And the kind of help he's gonna need is, he's gonna need you - not financially to help him - we're gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it's not gonna be apparent initially, it's not gonna be apparent that we're right." "I've forgotten more about foreign policy than most of my colleagues know, so I'm not being falsely humble with you. I think I can be value added, but this guy has it," the Senate Foreign Relations chairman said of Obama. "This guy has it. But he's gonna need your help. Because I promise you, you all are gonna be sitting here a year from now going, 'Oh my God, why are they there in the polls? Why is the polling so down? Why is this thing so tough?' We're gonna have to make some incredibly tough decisions in the first two years. So I'm asking you now, I'm asking you now, be prepared to stick with us. Remember the faith you had at this point because you're going to have to reinforce us." "There are gonna be a lot of you who want to go, 'Whoa, wait a minute, yo, whoa, whoa, I don't know about that decision'," Biden continued. "Because if you think the decision is sound when they're made, which I believe you will when they're made, they're not likely to be as popular as they are sound. Because if they're popular, they're probably not sound." After speaking for just over a quarter of an hour, Biden noticed the media presence in the back of the small ballroom. "I probably shouldn't have said all this because it dawned on me that the press is here," he joked.
  14. PALIN isn't questioning McCain!
  15. So, what is this like, the 4th time that Biden has essentially told us that Barack Obama being President of the USA is a bad idea? For chrissake, people. Biden is Obama's VP running mate!! If Obama's running mate questions the wisdom of a President Obama shouldn't YOU???????
  16. San Diego was (is) absolutely HORRIBLE!! What a waste of two weeks. Since the AZ game I was actually highly concerned about this game against the Chargers. The Chargers are a 3-4 team and deserve to be a 3-4 team.
  17. I business travel to SD every once in a while. The sun, warm climate, beaches, and most importantly the GIRLS in San Diego will make you like that. None of these are found in Buffalo, Rochester, Binghamton-Elmira or here in Syracuse.
  18. I presume the Bills are on in Albany? Why are they so disrespected in New York's State Capitol city? Oh, I guess it's too close to Massachusetts.
  19. PDF version. http://blogs.timesunion.com/capitol/wp-con...ma_absentee.pdf NO WAY this was a simple mistake/error.
  20. I live in upstate Syracuse. Rensselaer is definitely upstate. And it looks like a lot of other counties in those crucial mid-western states. Again, I don't see how this could have been a mistake.
  21. I don't for a split second think this was an error. The letter "S' and letter "B" are not near each other on the keyboard. Moreover, this upstate county is like a lot of counties in swing states. It's the mentality of the people who live in these places that should concern Obama. I think the resentment of an African-American with an Islamic name is DEEP and deeper than Obama voters want to recognize.
  22. http://www.syracuse.com/news/index.ssf/200..._in_rensse.html Oops! 'Osama' on ballot in Rensselaer County by The Associated Press Friday October 10, 2008, 3:40 PM TROY, N.Y. -- Who is running for president? In an upstate New York county, hundreds of voters have been sent absentee ballots in which they could vote for "Barack Osama." The absentee ballots sent to voters in Rensselaer County identified the two presidential candidates as "Barack Osama" and "John McCain." In the United States, the best-known person named Osama is Osama bin Laden, leader of the al-Qaida terrorist group. Commissioners for the Rensselaer County Board of Elections say they regret the error but do not acknowledge in a statement exactly what the error is.
  23. I'm sure the fans of teams outside of the AFC East are not at all impressed with any of/all of the teams in our division.
  24. As a John McCain voter I seriously think that the McCain campaign should reimburse every person that contributed to his campaign. Barack Obama is politically target-rich but John McCain is...I don't know what the F John McCain is doing.
