  1. Just yoking! But officially it is a Jets game on television there. Still, why the disrespect for New York's only NFL team in New Yorks State Capital city? I was in Albany two weeks ago. To the NFL fans there, the Buffalo Bills might as well be the Seattle Seahawks. Worse, no SU football/basketball fans in abundance in Albany, either. This I really don't understand!! Good to be back in Syracuse, though!
  2. So it's official: The Buffalo Bills vs. the Miami Dolphins at 4:05PM on WTVH in Syracuse! Looks as though Binghamton lucked out too with the Bills being broadcast there, too. GO BILLS!
  3. One wouldn't expect the Bills to be on in Albany if the Jets are playing. I heard the Patriots* games sometimes preempt Buffalo there, too. Still, looks like the Buffalo Bills are definitely on here in Syracuse and down in Binghamton. THIS makes sense! GO BILLS!!
  4. Only with the SU students. Syracuse area NFL fans definitely follow the Buffalo Bills.
  5. Why is it Democrats b***h and moan about Republicans/President George Bush but when they get into office they do the same things that Republicans/George Bush do? 2006 midterm elections the Democrats take control of the HOUSE and Senate yet do nothing different? 2008 Barack "Change We Can Believe In" Obama is elected President and immediately appoints conservatives to handle his economic and foreign policy issues? P.S. blzrul: You have serious personal issues well beyond politics & football.
  6. Can you pick up WTVH from Syracuse? We have the Bills game up here in the 'Cuse!
  7. WTVH here in Syracuse is part of the Buffalo Bills broadcasting network. I'm pretty certain they show the Bills no matter what. You can get all the Syracuse University students from New Jersey to complain all they want but the Jets shouldn't be on television in Syracuse!!
  8. I'm with you, Mike! I'm just curious as to how long Barack Obama decides to become a Republican.
  9. The Orchard Park Quakers finished the football season undefeated. They also claimed the New York State Class 'AA' (large school) championship. Sweet Home HS football finished their season undefeated, also. They won the New York State Class 'A' championship yesterday. Southwestern and Maple Grove won New York State championships in their respective divisions yesterday. Pretty good for Buffalo area HS football. They all must be flying high as a kite right now!! And I'm from Syracuse. I just need anything Buffalo football related that is successful!
  10. http://www.buffalonews.com/258/story/509216.html Orchard Park wins state football title, 21-17 Section VI hits a state championship grand slam Keith McShea NEWS SPORTS REPORTER It's four for four for Section VI football. Orchard Park overcome a 17-0 deficit to become the fourth local team to win a state championship when it beat Monroe-Woodbury of Section IX (Orange County), 21-17, at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse today. Go to the Prep Talk blog to review live blogging of the championships today and Sunday. Orchard Park lost in last year's state semifinals to eventual champion West Genesee of Syracuse. Monroe-Woodbury was making its fourth straight trip to the championship game, winning in 2005 before losing the final the last two years. Sweet Home, Southwestern and Maple Grove all won state championships Saturday to make history for Section VI. Never before had a single section won more than two titles. Sweet Home jumped to a 28-7 lead and came up with some clutch defensive stands and clock-killing drives in the fourth quarter to beat Section II (Albany area) champion Burnt Hills, 35-28. Southwestern scored three touchdowns in a one-minute, 10-second span in the second quarter as the Trojans routed Section I (Westchester County) champion Croton-Harmon, 35-7, in the Class C title game. Maple Grove rolled to its first state championship since 1998 with a 55-7 romp over Moriah of Section VII (Northern New York) in the Class D championship. The News will have comprehensive coverage of the game in Monday's editions. Check out the high school home page to review additional high school info, including preview stories on the state championships as well as game stories from the teams' playoff runs.
  11. Why do you have above still posted when it's apparent that Barack Obama is George Bush's 3rd term? Barack Obama is "Another Bush". Haven't you noticed?
  12. I went to a Bills-Jets game at the Meadowlands 4-5 years ago. The whole time I was completely amazed that I drove from Syracuse through Pennsylvania to New Jersey to see a "New York" team play the Buffalo Bills. I drove from New York to another state, two states away! Weird!
  13. If you do e-mail the station please remember to tell them that since most Giants fans in Syracuse are actually SU students from New Jersey, they're all probably home in the Garden State for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. And all that remains in Syracuse are the true-blue Buffalo Bills fans who want to watch the Bills!
  14. There ARE a lot more Bills fans in the 'Cuse than Giants fans! A LOT more!!
  15. Does this have anything to do with the Syracuse FOX channel broadcasting in to the Rochester TV market? Or something like that? There's easily more Bills fans here in Syracuse than Giants fans. And you only see/hear the Giants fans from Syracuse University when they're in the playoffs.
  16. So I guess we shouldn't be completely surprised when President Obama decides to retain the services of VP Dick Cheney! Will Obama bring back Karl Rove for his "experience"?
  17. "Change We Can Believe In" is morphing into George Bush's 3rd term.
  18. I don't think any of us are complaining. We are just suggesting they consider playing the Buffalo Bills-San Francisco 49ers game. Once they see how many of us Bills fans want the change they might do it.
  19. In CNY Bills fans are EASILY more dedicated to the Bills than the Giants fans are dedicated to the Giants. I've always felt that if you took all the Giants (and Jets) fans in the 'Cuse you would find most of them are students at Syracuse University. Most everyone else FROM Syracuse is a Bills fan and actually go to Bills home games. Sports-wise the Buffalo Bills and Syracuse Orange kind of go together! It's like this very much in Rochester.
