Agreed Rico. We should probably extend Edwards and convert Bannan full time. Edwards is a good 3rd down DT in obvious passing situations. I thought he was making strides in this area last year before he tore his rotator cup. I don't think it's only that he is playing for a contract. He was already making strides before his injury.

Whatever it takes man! A nice example of the new coaches not being bullheaded about their system. The coaching is better, it just doesn't show it in the teams record.

I wonder if he will continue to get some reps at LG. I am happy that the coaches are at least trying new things. He may not be the long term answer, but with more experience you never know. In another post I said it is going to be very difficult to upgrade this line so I am all for trying out some experiments here ande there.

I just asking peoples opinions on his further developement nutinHouston. It's also one of those things where if I'm proven wrong it would be a good thing. If we could move Vincent to FS our secondary would be real good, I'm just not sold on McGee as a full timer yet. I'm pulling for him, but I also am a Bills fan, so I prepare for dissapointment too. Like I said, I am confident he will remain at least a solid nickle and return man, which is great for a 4th round pick, nomatter how big or small a school he came from.

All I know is as bad as this situation is, if you are asking for Matthews to start you truly have no clue about the game that is called football, American style. I lived in Chi town most of the two years Matthews played and trust me, it could get worse. Any game with wind gusting more than 10 mph would be a complete disaster. If JP was healthy this would be worth talking about but as long as the only alternative is Matthews, let's wait 2-3 more weeks. He is only a guy taking up a roster spot, and that is being kind.

Hey I mentioned Culpepper as one of two I couldn't decide between. Vick is the most overrated player in the league, by far.

Cool, I think RG Benji Olsen is a free agent too. He's younger so hopefully they target him instead of Hopkins. With Jennings missing time again plus a couple of sup par games it will be interesting to see what he commands. If he would accept a move to RT and an average salary a line of Hopkins, Williams, Teague, Villarial, Jennings/ draft pick could be quite good.

I'm thinking probably Hopkins too Bill. Being realistic, the Titans may try and get younger there and we could get him as a 2-3 year servicable stop gap. LJ Shelton would be good for RT, then we wish for the best on the left side.

Man I wished we would have tried to get Willie Roaf. KC got him for a 2nd round draft pick. I would have threw in a 4th and 5th to make it happen. What if's friggen suck sometimes!!!!

I just checked and it turns out LJ Shelton has been playing RT for Arizona so maybe he enters free agency. If Williams moves to LG this wouldn't be a bad move. We would then have to pray a decent LT falls to us somehow in the draft. It won't be easy to upgrade this line, but I can always just play Madden!
