  1. Just wondering, rollouts with the option of dumping it to the TE, going down field to a WR, or just taking off and running suit JP strengths so well, why don't we use some plays like Denver runs for Plummer? Many here are calling for more 3 step drops as well, I'M WITH YOU! This staff is overfocusing on stand back and learn to read defenses if you ask me. Throw some of this stuff in to help JP get in a groove. I have soured on JP but you figure he isn't getting all the help from the playcalling that he could. Maybe thats the plan though, this year JP is getting forced to learn to read defenses and when the staff feels he has a good enough grasp they will free him up more next year. He may get killed first that's the only drawback.
  2. Nice post macaroni. Like you said, if we bring in a couple Olinemen and a legit #2 WR, wait! aren't there 3 of em' already here? Well, like I said how about a big Plaxico Burress type, what cha gonna say then if there isn't any difference? Anyways, I don't like Schaub or Brady Quinn so I'd rather let JP and Nall battle it out next training camp and focus on other areas for now.
  3. 30 and unsure about his future. I want to see him with a revamped line and a Plaxico Burress type WR before dumping him. I'm against going after Schaub and don't want Brady Quinn or a draft pick either. One more year before the dreaded 1st round gamble on a QB. I beleve we have solid TE we just don't throw to em enough to help JP out either. Where are the rollout with a TE dumpoff or option to run? We need to run some of those plays like Denver does, they are perfect for JP.
  4. Great post mike1011.
  5. I haven't seen him play since our opener a couple years back. It seems he has been injured an aweful lot. Although he has a cannon for an arm, he is not a very mobile QB, so I don't think he would fare too well here. If we had a better line I would trade for him, but to do it now the price would be too steep at the expense of other positions that need to be adressed. To answer your question, if we had a better line I would trade for him. Only a 2nd rounder though.
  6. This will be another Bears game most likely. What we will probably see is this team lay down as soon as the going gets tough in this game. I expect to lose but I hope we show effort for a whole game, not lay down like losers.
  7. But he has 8 games left to have the cone label removed. I guess we gotta go with him or resign Aaron Gibson cause I never liked the Butler pick. If Terrence doesn't show enough by the end of the year we could target Max Starks or big Lenard Davis to play RT. I'd like Reyes to step in for Villarial as well but the coaches may feel we have moved guys around enough already. By the end of the year though I think Pennington may be good for the Marcus Price "swing tackle" role, and thats fine for a 7th round pick.
  8. It won't work very often though. For having so much max protction you figure he would throw it away more knowing only 2 guys are running a pattern as well. All I know is JP is all we got and I hope he eventually gets it cause I sure as hell don't want Holbum in there. As for Nall, nobody has a clue whatsoever what he can do but I doubt it would get me hard.
  9. Probably a band-aid at RT. Someone had to play there with how the line was shuffled but who knows, he could end up there for a while for all we know. I thought he started out pretty rough but settled down OK. We ran to the left like 90% of the time today though, a whole new right side may have to happen. I'd really like Reyes to get a chance at RG before the season is over though. I really wouldn't mind us trying to sign L. Davis to play RT or G for us if we can't land Steinbach as well.
  10. I have hardly ever commented on JP pro or con just waiting to give him a chance. But until that pass he sucked ass today. Sure he didn't throw an INT or fumble, but he still sucked. I'm happy we won man but it's time to see some progress from the freakin QB already. That's the way I feel and if you don't like it than oh f***ing well. Looking back, yeah, it was a good throw. WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
  11. flash in the pan Drew makes you look alright faker he is by the end of the year. Trust me, defenses will be all over him before you know it. Yes, I have been harsh on JP today but let me say I'm not gonna join any of you "I'd rather have Romo" buttheads either. The reality is the soonest we will have a great QB is 3 years. We are best off building a killer D and powerful Oline. I know, boo hoo hoo, but this is our best bet.
  12. That's the only thing he did right. Locking on to recievers, knowing the blitz is coming(everone could see it) and still not getting rid of it. He got away with some throws as well. I AM NOT a JP hater. I just have doubts about him being the future of this team. Just because some people critique him does not mean they hate him. Hell, the whole offense sucks and should have lost this game for the team today. Only Peters, Evans and McGahee are keepers if you ask me.
  13. Trust me, I KNOW JP ain't the only problem. But it's his decision making in certain situations that give me doubts.
  14. I could have made that pass. I'm not asking for Manning #s, just progress. He can't even manage a damn game.
  15. JP has no clue. I'm not gonna give him slack when he hits a wide open TD. Anyways, let's go Buffalo!!!
  16. TD. I'm still not convinced. Wide open.
  17. I'm not calling for anyone. I'm just saying JP just ain't cutting it. We're screwed either way unfortunately.
  18. Please, this guy can't even manage a game when it slaps him in the face.
  19. This is getting RJish. No clue when the situation requires to get rid of it quick when there is nothing there. Sadly, there is no quick fix. Nobody on the roster, no good free agents( Schaub, PLUEEEEEEEZE!!!) and even the right draft choice will take 2-3 years minimum. This sucks..........
  20. They will be the reason we lose this game. Totally left the rest of the team hanging today. It may not be all Losman but the clock is a tickin'.................
  21. Right on. If the new tackle moves work out, I'd be satisfied with a day one pick at guard or Steinbach or Davis brought in to play guard. It's hard to find a really good center but I think we can get by with Fowler anyways. With that said, if a very highly rated OT falls to us, you still take him.
  22. with that unit. Both ROOKIE guards are playing well and Scott Wells the young center has come into his own as well. Just goes to show, ours is not a hopeless situation, you just have to be willing to do something about it.
