  1. Clearly the line as a whole has played better. Pennington started very shaky but now I notice very little disruption from his man, he may be a 7th round gem after all. As for Preston, I'll eat a little crow, you can get by with him, but I'll say by the end of the year, he'd be the most replaceable of the 5. My signature usually tells how I currently feel about the Oline and what I wish could happen. Updates occur with regularity sometimes but I think it may last to the end of the year this time.
  2. DT. It's so easy, Terell Sands er, a cave man could do it. I just want a true run stuffer to round out the rotation, although a healthy Kris Jenkins would be fine.
  3. I forgot about Sands. I'd love to have him in the rotation instead of Anderson! Go Marv!!!!!!!
  4. Fowler is the best since Hull. Those guys don't come along very often, and I can live with our current situation at C if we upgrade at least one of the guard positions. Pennington is still too inexpirienced to say for sure and Preston is very replacable as a starter but has value as depth. I for one hope we try and continue the improvement of this unit and make it a true strength. See below to see how it's done.
  5. Free agency sure ain't the answer...........that's all I can say.
  6. I hate that guy! I hope his day was ruined!
  7. While I don't know about 30M for Kelsay, he will be more than the Denny type deal I was hoping for Bill. I'd like to keep the entire 4 man rotation going (Schobel, Kelsay, Denny and Hargrove) very much though. An Alan Branch would look great in the interior! As for Peters, who would have thought that was how we'd find a LT?!?!?!?! WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. I'm excited about the possibilities if he plays well. NO 1ST ROUND CB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. I also hope we finish strong so we can draft the best guard or RT in the draft. With a 8-8ish record you are usually in a good spot for cream of the crop at those 2 positions ( 2 of 3 we need the most).
  10. Davis would be a great fit at RG............he was labled a dominator there before moving to tackle.
  11. Davis is an underachiever at tackle Bill. At RG as a rookie he played at a Pro Bowl level. As for the all of em' remark, I forgot about Gandy, although I'd resign him if we fail at landing someone better. I definitely try and keep Clements, Kelsay, and Fletch. I hope we can find a solid RT in the draft as well, as there are no tackles at all in free agency, what a surprise!
  12. Also Ian Scott is pretty much the only free agent DT worth anything, plus he knows this scheme and IS better than Anderson. At least he would improve the rotation as a whole.
  13. I agree Rubes. First and foremost we need to resign our own. All of em'. We can let Villarial go, He's just too old and busted now, then do what we can in free agency. I'd do whatever possible to get Steinbach or Manuwei at guard and Ian Scott at DT. If we could land 2 of those 3, I could care less whoelse we sign. My darkhorse is Leanard Davis to play RT or RG.
  14. Well, until that pick is actually on the team, Willis is the guy. Here come the A-Train buttlicks........
  15. Maybe 255 earlier in his career. He ended his career near 300.
  16. Cool, I think I'll get me some.
  17. Brother, not only will I give you an amen, but, I, I, yes, yes, I'll give you an amen!
  18. First, FB's don't go until day 2 no matter how good. Second, we probably won't bother anyways , and third, there is this stuff called human growth hormone that the NFL doesn't even test for which will take care of that 235lb frame before the combine.
  19. Whoa dude, a little clustered there? Check it out: If we wanna shore up the LB's, go after Briggs or June, and if Fletch leaves move Spikes to the middle. As for TE's, go for Daniel Graham or Eric Johnson ( I favor Graham cause he's used to this weather and is a outstanding blocker ). You are on track with going after one of those 3 guards, also add Vince Manuwie to the list though. If possible, dump Anderson for Ian Scott of da Bears to strengthen th DT rotation a little. Last but not least: RESIGN CLEMENTS AND KELSAY BEFORE THE SEASON EVEN ENDS and try to resign Fletch as well so we can focus on other areas for now. We'll be alright with him for another 3 years or so plus don't underestimate his knowledge of the game and how he gets the entire D on the same page. Let the draft come to us after that.
  20. Yes, Willis didn't have a good game at all Sunday, but this has got to be one of the moronic debates of all time on this board. The backup RB comes in and gains 10yrds on 2 carries once in a while. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Willis may be overrated, but he IS a better back than Thomas. PERIOD.
  21. I couldn't complain if we land Jarrett at all..........
  22. I have actually warmed up to Blaylock a lot since my last signiture change! I too think him having the potential to play RT or either guard position makes him a very solid pick. It's just I'm gunshy a little bit with Texas Olineman, but who isn't!?!?!?!?!? I just have to get past that and update my signiture acordingly.
  23. I gotta say with who realistically will be available the guy who makes the most sense is Blaylock. A very solid and somewhat safe pick( true, no pick is EVER a sure thing ), Blaylock would upgrade ANY spot on the right side and give us great flexibility on the Oline if we pick up at least one free agent as well. Of course if a great potential DT is there I can't complain either.
  24. You know there will be some late risers to even cloud this list further too. I love our chances for a true impact player too if the right pick fell to us. I definitley like the area we are currently picking.
