  1. As long as he gave me some of that British Columbian s**t I'd be OK with it....
  2. Rhodes and Addai, Bettis and Parker, Dillon and Maroney, Barber and Jacobs, Jones and Benson, just a few combos there. That kind of 2 back system, and yeah, Jauron said it personally in the most recent "state of whatever you wanna call it" press conference. I don't even think we are gonna carry a FB this year. Single back with 3 and 4 wides, double TE's looks like what we are gonna go with. I have been screaming for a good young fullback but it looks like it ain't in the plans. Please, don't even mention Brian Leonard, if you do, go look in the mirror and slap yourself as hard as possible. The only team I see him having any sort of fit would be Washington who already has Chris Cooley in the H-Back role. I hate great white hopes!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Not much activity till draft time, just throwing thoughts around........ If we could snag Bell for a decent price, would you pair him with someone like Micheal Bush? I know Jauron wants to go to a two back system, I'm just wondering if he wants two very different backs, or guys who have similar skills. I notice many here believe we are looking for a Thurman or Faulk type back, I don't know. Our line is big and I could see us going in a few different directions, but a power back is not out of the question if you ask me............
  4. Jamal Lewis and Ahman Green are stop gaps, just keepin' your seat warm, ease AP in slowly guys. Peterson will be a Brown or Texan, though I'd love to have him even if it meant we had to trade up to 5 or 6 to do it. If he gets past the Browns, I wouldn't mind a move to 5 or 6 at all..............
  5. I think the Dline is more important than either. I don't know who the missing LB is but I would load up on the Dline one more draft and maybe go LB next year. I'm cool with Spikes, Crowell, and Ellison (if Spikes stays). I definitley don't want to go LB or CB at #12, but would be fine with either in a trade down or 2nd pick. Looks like DT or now RB with the first pick for me. I'd also have to consider DE if one of the top 2 guys fell to 12, and cut ties with Denny or Hargrove. You need pressure from your front 4 dudes!!!!!!!!!
  6. That's how slim it is right now at RB. When people are screaming for Anthony Thamas you know you're hurting at that position. Sadly, he's probably our best choice.
  7. Like who? I haven't heard a peep from anybody about him. It'll be OK.
  8. Yes, he missed a key block early vs. the Jets last year, but after that, he was very solid in that department the rest of the year. Believe me, we could have done a lot worse guys. Many backs are bad and unwilling blockers around the league. As I said, I am on board with the trade but some of you people are in for a rude awakening when it comes to finding a RB with good pass blocking ability. Anyways, say whatever about the rest of his game but give it a rest about him not picking up the blitz.
  9. I'll pass. There are better BACK UPS out there people. He's better than Shaud Williams, sure, but I'd like to go in another direction. John, 1,500 yards!?!?!?!? You're getting way too excited about our new line. I think they are gonna be good, but we won't be able to plug in any back and get 1,500 out of him. Get TJ Duckett or Brown as the backup, which all A. Thomas is, cause he ain't no train.
  10. Spikes and a 2nd, that's it.
  11. I would do it. Give up a 3rd and sign him to a nice long contract would be just fine............ Best available of LB, RB, and CB with our first 2 picks with the odd position out having to wait for day two. It's gonna be hard to fix everything folks..................
  12. I see some like myself wouldn't mind a FB. I see Daniel Graham is doing the highest bidder thing, so I crossed him off my list although I liked him as a surprise signing before free agency started. LB, DT, and CB visitors would be nice soon. Anyone wanna take a stab in the dark?
  13. I'd trade a 4th for Tatum Bell and sign someone like TJ Duckett to pair him with. That would be a solid 1-2 punch, plus allow a McGahee trade.
  14. Knew somebody would throw sick money at him.
  15. Anderson. A lot of $ in one position I know, but we could maybe trade Denny for a 3rd or 4th if we got lucky to a DE starved team.
  16. Oooooooooooooo you dirty dog. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm............ I'd flip a coin over the DT's I suppose. I'm definitley staying up front, I know that. No CB worth #12 and we can get a LB in round 2. Branch or Okoye, Okoye or Branch..................
  17. Seriously, the guy had a flash in the pan year last season, and we can do way better. I'd even take my chances on a 2nd day pick if need be. I personally hope he isn't re-signed. I don't want Harper either and doubt we sign a 32 year old CB anyways. If we go for a free agent I guess take a chance on Travis Fisher, at least he still has upside. In the end, grab someone in the 3rd or 4th round. Let's build up our front 7 first.
  18. Studs? They played OK as rookies, nothing special. We need more talent on D very much.
  19. Well his name starts with La, what did you expect?
  20. I second What Nanker said. I'd still like a day one guard and STILL say no to a first round corner. None of em' are #12 material. NONE.
  21. At 240 he needs to bulk up 10-15 lbs? If it ain't broke................
  22. In that case scribo I hope they haven't gotten off the phone with him.
  23. The strange thing is Thomas is already 30 years old. Very Redskin type move. He does fit what the Pats do very well though style wise. They did sign Harrison at 32 though, and it paid off big.
  24. I think someone posted although Spikes would make about 6 this year, we'd only save about half of that if cut. I really have mixed feelings on this one..........McGahee, we really have him on the cheap right now, under 2M I believe. Don't worry, someone with exact #s will be here eventually....
