  1. I know a lot of people love Ray Maualuga around here, but he doesn't have the speed of a top 20 pick, and won't be a young Junior Seau, at least not in the speed and athletic department.
  2. Unfortunately, although I was making a joke R. Rich, a link will probably be available sometime in the future.
  3. Tebow is a pole smoking butt bandit. I wouldn't let him anywhere near a young boy!!!
  4. Um, way more buff than Gresham. Watson can bench well over 500. I doubt Gresham can even get 400.
  5. I've figured they would not let him go myself, but included him in my "offseason" anyways. The funny thing is, people realize Brown may not hit free agency, but they think Suggs, Peppers and Haynseworth will!!!! I have no problem with Birk and a 3rd round pick at center next season.
  6. I do agree with MarkVaderr on if Chambers was brought back, I really only like him at RT as a backup. He can't handle LT and probably isn't strong enough at G. Only being able to backup one position effectively, I just don't know about bringing him back, although I'm not against it. 50/50 for me on Chambers.
  7. The only reason people around here are so emamoured with Bell is because his dad is Karl Malone and they are wishing Bell inherited his skill set to play LT. Add to that the fact Karl Malone is an absente father people want to pull for the guy to "stick it to his dad" making for a great story. Add even further the fact many are still bitter at Jason Peters people are hoping guys like Chambers and Bell can play so they can "stick it to Peters" over the holdout.
  8. Scott has been hurt and from watching about 6 or 7 games in college he has way better athleticism than Chambers (I gave up 2 sacks in 3 plays vs. the Dolphins) to play LT. As for Bell I'd say about half the board could outbench him and he is not a guy who already had outstanding strength and athleticism like Peters did coming out of college. He's gonna need WAY more work than all the people around here think.
  9. I think Jonathan Scott will take over the role and add better pass protection at LT. Bell still has a LONG ways to go.......
  10. We very well could have...........
  11. LOVE your free agency!!! Mostly on board with the rest of it.
  12. I was wondering what happened to Tubbs Sieve!!! At the very least if he's healthy again he could be a great replacement for McCargo after he's sent packing!
  13. Suggs, Peppers and Haynseworth won't even make it to free agency, so it's a moot point anyways.
  14. Yep, the speed rushing ends become a non-factor in nasty weather, but are sure great to have if you reach the Super Bowl. The key is to find the right balance, which is tough. I started a thread about drafting BJ Raji even though my personal #1 choice would probably be Everett Brown. In nasty weather January games, a DT is probably more important than a DE.
  15. Although our run D did improve this season, we still gave up to many long drives when we needed to get a stop. With Strouds age, Raji would be a smart pick, esecially if we could land Bert Berry in free agency. Peppers or Suggs ain't even leaving their teams so stop it people.
  16. I like the idea of going after Gabe Watson R. Rich, but I have a question. Would we just have to outbid them or would we have to owe them draftpick compensation?
  17. nfldraftcountdown.com currently has a feature writeup on him to get any unfamiliar with him a little info. I've seen about 4 BC games this year and he's been quite disruptive, and looks like a Wilfork clone. If we get our usual bad luck and OLB Curry, and DE's Orakpo and Brown are gone I would not mind a rotation of Stroud, Raji, Williams and Johnson one bit. I'm not high on DE Micheal Johnson or LB Ray Mauagula as top 20 picks so how about the #1 DT in the draft? That opportunity doesn't come along very often even though we've blown it a couple times already.
  18. I you want a real upgrade at TE I don't think you can afford to wait until after round 2. JMO. Hopefully free agency justifies a 2nd round TE.
  19. You guys know Maualuga is nowhere near as fast as a young Junior Seau or Shawn Merriman right??? I agree the guy can hit with the best of em' but pass coverage at the NFL level could be very Kawika Mitchell like. He is strickly a MLB.
  20. I have been one of the biggest Preston bashers for a long time and even I have admitted he has gotten better as a CENTER. I would never want him more than a backup at either G position but sometimes a player can improve. Besides the two boneheaded plays (the snap to nobody and the Pats tussle) Preston has been a significant upgrade over Fowler. Sure, he's not ProBowl caliber but I wouldn't mind him holding the fort for a rookie like Unger, Mack, or Caldwell.
  21. Sad but true skycap. We always JUST miss out on that TRUE impact player.
  22. I thought Brown uses a pretty nice "shoulder dip" move in the games and highlights I've seen as well as his spin move, so he already has two more moves than Kelsay or Denny!!!
  23. I meant Peppers not Peters, sorry bout that.
  24. Oh I'm all for it. We all got our little offseasons running through our heads until most of these guys resign with their own teams. That's why I list "REALISTIC" under my offseason. Peters, Suggs, and Haynseworth are NOT leaving their respective teams people!!! Jason Brown will even probably reup with the Ravens so Birk is definitely a guy to keep an eye on.
