  1. Who cares. People complain that Maybin got a 25M dollar contract as a rookie, but what has this guy really done to deserve 17M as a veteran. Another supposed Bills "under the radar" sneeky sneeky signing that has FAILED.
  2. Hossage is legit on Schobel news. Don't delete this thread.
  3. Agreed. It may not be until Troup's 2nd or even 3rd season until he grows into a truely effective NT
  4. Exactly. Why don't you ask their coaches how much Pat Williams and Vince Wilfork REALLY weigh. Both are around 350 gurenteed.
  5. 6'3 -6'4 350 is what teams would like, but there are always exceptions. If a player is gonna perform way better at a certain weight than that's where he'll play. It's just an example of what most teams would prefer to have, that's all.
  6. That sound about right h2o. The Bills don't want him to get too big to fast but you can bet the long term goal is probably around 350. Some current NT's who play at or very close to 350: Kris Jenkins, Vince Wilfork, Jamal Williams, Pat Williams, Shaun Rogers, just to name a few.....
  7. The prototypical nose these days is 350. That's what most teams look for in their NT. Not a lie at all, just the modern NFL. Pretty common known information.
  8. You also do realize the Bills are gonna probably want Troup to play at about 350 lbs, probably about the same as Balt will want Cody at.
  9. It's the first practice people.......hate away for now because when he's ready he'll propell the Baltimore D to #1 in the NFL. All he has to do year 1 is relieve Kelley Gregg 4-6 snaps a quarter .
  10. We'll see if Woodley still gets paid less once that contract runs out..........
  11. I do agree with developing the young guys, but I don't consider Adams washed up. Sure, he's not in his prime anymore, but still would be the best tackle on the Bills by far. Bottom line, Green is a stop gap at RT, hell, let's get a stopgap at LT too! Long term, I believe Meredith could be the answer at RT, with the LT not currently on the roster.
  12. He would def help some of our skill position players develope by improving the o-line, allowing them more time to make plays. Some here will complain that he gets too many penalties, but so does Bell. A two year deal would be perfect if he would be willing to come to B-lo.
  13. Wood got reps at center last year too. It's called a backup plan. However, I wouldn't mind Wood at center full time if the Bills would have brought Simmons back to play RG and had Hangartner as the interior backup guy. That IMO would have been a pretty decent situation. But alas, TSW is ahead of of the Bills front office 10 plus years and counting.............
  14. Agreed. When Kirk Chambers is even invited to training camp something is seriously wrong. At least bring in a veteran who has done it (well) before or a young guy with at least halfway decent upside.
  15. Totally expected a Favre reference to come up, but as for the other 99.9% of the time........
  16. When you talk about retirement, you're already retired. Have fun on the farm Aaron.........
  17. Of course they are. The QB situation on this team is gay to the 10th power.
  18. Dan Williams is NOT a dominant presence at NT. He has not even played that position! I've seen every one of his games and he is a late 1st - early 2nd round talent at best in a 4-3 defense. He doesn't want to play NT either. Cody is the best NT prospect in this draft by a mile, I don't care if you don't like him with his shirt off. QB or LT at 9 only at this point with CJ Spiller as a possible BPA pick. Then trade the thug.
  19. I've never got all the Iupati love around here. I get that people think that he's mean and that will make up for his lack of pass protection skills and whatnot but it won't. The guy is strickly a guard and you could wait and take someone like Pouncy in round two if you wanted an interior guy that badly who could play G or C. You then let Wood and Pouncy decide who plays center. Anyways, sorry, just sick of hearing about Iupati who I don't think is even 1st round material......
  20. ....and yes, we'll have to trade back up to get him, possibly as high as pick 18-22.........
  21. Cody is the best NT in the draft BY FAR.
  22. You got it. There is no NT worthy of #9, especially Williams.
  23. I'm wishing BGIOP, I'm wishing. I'm willing for a big tradeback into the 1st to do it as well.......
  24. Hey, whether you wanted him back or not he'll make the Fins run game even better. The'll play it off like he's in a open competition at RG but I see him winning the job easily. Watch your knees Bills defenders..........
  25. Like already has been mentioned, not a big sack guy, but if you seen the Baltimore/New England playoff game you gotta love that he made Logan Mankins his B word on a few occasions!
