  1. Doesn't really matter since we have no pass rush threats anyways. This may be an even bigger weakness than our OT situation. Stay tuned...........
  2. After this season, if the Edwards, Fitz, Brohm allstar team doesn't work out, we'll hopefully go after a real QB in the draft. One of the above 3 could mentor then back him up. Can't wait until Levi is a distant and forgotten memory.
  3. I agree with almost everything you said but think we would still need to find a dominate RT to really make the line a true strength. I think we could get lucky and get servicable play from Bell and kind of go against the grain a little and focus on finding a big time RT, which is a bit easier to find. The reason for this approach is I think we need to focus on finding multiple guys on defense who can get consistent pressure on the QB, because I don't know if we even have one guy who can do that right now. It's just to unrealistic to think we can find a great LT and some quality pass rushers in a short period of time IMO.
  4. I think they picked him just to quiet the fan base a little bit to be honest.
  5. It doesn't really matter Hangartner and Hartwick are both only guys you can just get by with and the Steelers have been trying to upgrade the position for a while and now landed Pouncey (who will probably be very good) so they let Hartwick go. Remember, the Steelers O-line has arguably been worse than ours the last couple of years. As for Hangartner he said himself he played his last season with the panthers at 315 but wanted to play here at around 320. He beats Melvin Fowler at least!
  6. To be accurate Hangartner is really in the 315-320 lb range and Ngata plays RE for the Ravens not NT.
  7. Maybe he's just not NFL material.
  8. Hartwick is too small to handle the NT in this division.
  9. I'm much happier with him on the roster than Levi freakin Brown. Matter of fact, I'd rather Brown not even make the practice squad. Find a damn veteran OT already.
  10. You forgot the "this is an automated response" part.
  11. Some o-line depth and LBers who can cover would be nice.....
  12. What exactly do people think any of these guys will develope into anyways? Next subject please.
  13. If it was up to me I'd just build an addition to the current one and replace the seats with better ones. Simple and effective IMO.
  14. Ellis may start over Kelsay, not likely to be cut IMO
  15. He and Wilson are sssssssooooooooooooooooooooooo much better than Whitner. Sorry, the cover 2 ain't here nomore to hide these two TSW heros.
  16. Damn, now we'll never be able to trade Lynch for that Pro Bowl LT the front office has secretly been waiting to do.
  17. David Nelson dude. After last nights dissapointing performance by Chad Jackson, I'd definitely like to see more David Nelson. I was kinda hoping Jackson would be a surprise contributer this year, but now I don't feel too good about that........
  18. For the last time..........NOT GONNA HAPPEN. Learn it, live it, love it.
  19. Maybe he could ask Bruce Smith for a butt transplant? In all seriousness though, I don't have a problem if Maybin is only a situational rusher this year as long as he is effective at that. Remember people, Orakpo was a 23 year old rookie who as a freshman at Texas was only 220 lbs. It takes time to grow into your body. After this season I hope for a very powerlifting type training program for Maybin, and if he's still not a 3 down player by then, I will be on the bustwagon.
  20. The Saints are NOT supremely confident in Bushrod, the guys sucks. They were shocked though that Brown the LT from USC was available at the end of round 2. Bushrod is only keeping the seat warm for him. Please, no trade for Bushrod comments either. The Saints were very lucky and very talented at others positions to be able to get by with Bushrod.
  21. Lynch has 2 or 3 years left on his deal and we wouldn't be able to trade him for a OT any better than what we already have.
  22. Even though our OT situation will hold them back, I think we gotta keep 6 WR this year and use many different formations. I think this group could surprise if we call the right kind of plays........Hardy gets a make or break opportunity.
  23. Yes, Wood was outplayed by Levitre. All most fans remember is Levitre getting blown up in the preseason Tennessee game but during the season Levitre, not Wood, was the Bills best lineman. Either way, it doesn't suck to have 2 guards with very bright futures, which I think everyone can agree with.
