Says Gilmore and Dareus could be talented building blocks if Dareus plays up to potential, Manuel and Woods are beginnings of a nice youth movement and Cordy Glenn played a lot better than expected at LT. No mention of FB Drew Smith from right here in Guilderland NY though:-)

Fergy was a above average QB with a rocket arm who had the same problems today's Bills QB have. Bad personnel decisions and constant coaching turnovers. His rookie year was nothing more than handoffs to OJ. I think he only threw 150 passes his rookie year. He had JD Hill and Bobby Chandler in Saban's and Ringo's run offense. He threw more with Knox as they drafted Jerry Butler and got Frank Lewis for Paul Seymour. But top draft choices like Tom Ruud and Bob Nelson, Booker Moore, Perry Tuttle, Phil "Okie" Dokes didn't help much. He had Ahmad Rashad for one year but he wanted $100k a year and Ralph only would offer $95k so he went to Seattle. Knox left and they hired Kay Stephenson who put the Bills in a downward spiral.

Driving to VA and back this week I listened to a lot of ESPN and they hit the nail on the head. They were talking about San Fran but it fits Fitz perfectly. They said the thing that separates Kaepernick from Alex Smith is 1: he is willing to throw downfield, and 2: he makes those throws. The thing that pisses me off about Fitz is every time we have third and long he throws a 2 yard pass. The Tennessee game when the Bills got the ball back with a minute to go on their 20. 1st and 10, 2nd and 6, 3rd and 4 and incomplete, incomplete game over. How do you justify getting 6 yards in 4 plays against a prevent defense?

I listened to this game on the radio stationed in Norfolk, VA and remember the announcer apologizing after the game for what might have been the worst game he had ever seen

Clayton was on ESPN radio a bit ago talking about the Eagles back up Kafka breaking his non throwing hand and said it gives Nick Foles and Troy Edwards a chance to step up. Good to see Trent is still known through out the media people in the know in the NFL
