Who's cooking burgers on Saturday night??
kota replied to col_forbin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like what he is doing with the players off the field. The cheeseburger thing and walking in the park with his team is a way to shake things up. You don't want your players to get into a routine. The team went for a walk between meetings. It is a way to refresh their mind and help them focus. The cheeseburge thing is a different story. When you go from the East coast to the west the players gain 3 hours. So lets say they leave arrive in Seattle at 3pm. It will be 6pm in NY. 6pm is a typical time to eat. So the players will arrive in seattle hungry. I think they had team meeting as soon as they got of the plane. You don't want the players distracted by hunger when they are supposed to be focusing on the upcoming game. The cheeseburgers were just a snack for the team. -
Bledsoe's interception to Lee Evans was one yard to long and 1 yard to far to the left. If he was on the money Evans would have split those 2 defenders for the TD. That Interception was a bad throw not a bad decision. He did miss the guy wide open in the middle but Lee Evans was open as well. His first INT was a misread on either Bledsoe's or Campbells end. Campbell turned in and Drew threw it out. The 3rd INT Bledsoe didn't have a good throwing lane. A Linebacker was in the way and he didn't see the 2nd guy step into the play. He threw it blind and got the INT for it. The INT's look bad on paper but the Seahawks didn't score any points off it. Thanks to the defense. None of them were on the Bills half of the field so the Seahawks always had a long field to work against. None of the INT's were from Bledsoe behing hurried and making a stupid mistake. He was slinging for the Endzone and I will take those kind of INT's anyday.

He has Troy Vincent to teach him. I can't think of anyone better to do that.

I hate to break it to you but 31 of the points scored today were because of Bledsoe. It was his arm that got the Bills into those scoring opportunities. Willis had an average day at best. He did have 4 TD's which is nice to see but 3 of them were from the 1 yard line. His first TD was nice because he bounced off the defenders and punched it in. the other 2 TD's from the 1 any RB could have made it in. The OLINe played outstanding on those goalline situations. Willis's numbers are somewhat inflated because of the long TD run. Bledsoe sold that play to the defense for 7 points. Willis did make an outstanding play by stretching it in there at the end. I am not bashing Willis at all i am just stating that this game wasn't won on the RUNNING OF WILLIS. Any win is a team win no matter who is playing. The INT's made by Bledsoe were not that bad. They were all on long pass plays deep into Seahawk territory. Bledsoe took a few chances today and they did end up being picks but when you have a defense like ours why can't you take a risk here and there? The seahawks aren't the Pats but it is a start. BRING ON THE FINS!!!!

Bledsoe put the Bills in scoring position everytime. Why do you think Willis gave Bledsoe his first touchdown ball? -
Bledsoe has found 9 different receivers

The 3 picks are no big deal really. The Bills have been in the redzone alot today and it was done on the arm of Drew Bledsoe. -
Drew can throw 10 INT's this game and we will still win.
-
It wasn't a cheap shot it was a mistake. I don't think he saw Clements call fair catch.
-
It was his right knee in college.
-
Willis will be back.
-
I hope he didn't break his hand.

Is it really the line that makes the QB? Or...

In order for an offense to be effective 11 guys have to be working together and on the same page. AS soon as one part of that offense is lacking you will get your 3 and outs, turnovers, etc.. Lets face it if you stop the Bills Running game your team wins. If the running game isn't effective you can pretty much assume that the OLIne is sucking it up out there. If you stop the run and put the Bills in long yardage situations then on 3rd down a Blitz will come. If the Bills can't stop that Blitz it is game over. I don't care which QB you pick in the league but no QB in the league has much of a chance when 2 people have gotten past the blockers. Bledsoe has proven many times this year that he can avoid one person. I have seen him sidestep and make throws, brush off a defensive player for a run, brush off a defensive player for a pass. He has done it consistently this year. Willis has helped tremendously with blocking since he has started. He doesn't miss many assignments and is a smarter player then Henry. Jim Kelly wouldn't have been able to do what he did without Thurman Thomas or Kenny Davis. Both of them were great at picking up the blitz. Bledsoe didn't play well at all against New England 2 weeks ago. He looked really bad. Any mistakes a QB could possibly make he did. This is the only loss this year that can be solely put on Bledsoe's shoulders. The rest of the loses you can chalk up to an offense that needed a longer preseason. This past week i think was a eye opener for the Bills team. They got behind early and came back strong against a playoff team. The offense kept the Bills in the game until the defense was able to make adjustments. With the help of the special teams the Bills buried the rams. I think the Bills learned how to win last week. The next couple of weeks will show if i am right or not. -
What is wrong with the article?

I think the fans are the weak link.

I don't get why everyone is saying that the Special Teams won the game for them. It seems to me it was a team effort. The defense couldn't hold St. Louis before the half. The offense put up 17 points to match St. Louis. In the second half the defense shut out Bulgar and the Rams. We did get 3 FG's out of our ST but nobody mentions it at all. Everyone is focusing on the 2 big punt returns as if that was the key to victory. Even if those 2 returns didn't happen it is likely we would have won by 9 points. The point of this post is to not take away credit where it is deserving. The ST was huge last Sunday but so was the other 2 phases of the game. -
I am sure Spiked said the same thing. Anyone seen Foxboro Mike recently?
-
Hopefully ICE gets banned just like Spiked Lemonade.

I think Steve and ICE live in the same Trailor park.

ICE CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH.

Clements was a cheap shot.

The Clements shot at holt was a cheap shot. Not sure about the other 2. He has every right to be upset. I hope Mularkey sees the tape and kicks someone's ass.
