  1. In the spirit of the Howard Stern show i shall quote Mr. Artie Lange. WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
  2. This article is bogus. The top GM's are on teams who don't make the playoffs on a regular basis.
  3. People need to give Marshawn the benefit of the doubt. It looks like he is going to say he had no idea he hit someone. Based upon the evidence given in that article and if it is true then it supports that statement. Should Marshawn be considered inhuman because he had no idea someone was injured by his car? Is Marshawn considered a bad person that after the police showed up and impounded his car for evidence that he called a lawyer? Is Marshawn considered a bad person because he followed his lawyer's advice? There is something called the Miranda Rights. You all might want to consider going back to High School if you don't understand these. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miranda_warning
  4. I am a Losman fan and a Trent Edwards Fan. I personally don't care who the QB as long as we stick with someone for a whole year. I don't think Losman had a fair shake last year. From week one our offense as a whole was dismal and going in the first 3 weeks going against top 10 defenses from the year prior. I also understand that Trent Edwards as a rookie in the same offense put up similar or better numbers then Losman did. Although he came to be the starter after a number of the tougher Playoff teams were out of the way. I think Trent Edwards has alot of upside and should probably be the starter going forward based upon what was seen last year. He fits in my mind the typical QB a franchise needs. A big, tall QB who knows how to stand i the pocket and deliver a throw when a 260 pound Linebacker is blitzing and going to knock you on your ass. Personally i don't think the coaching staff plays to the strengths of the players they try to force them into a mold.
  5. Won't happen. DIRECTV owns the rights to the NFL Sunday Ticket until 2010.
  6. People should not even comment on Lynch's innocence or guilt until everyone comes out. I assume next week we will hear what the plea deal is. People are assuming it will be the standard plea deal in situations like this. I am not so sure based upon how guarded the DA was with his words. We still haven't heard from Lynch. The only thing for certain is that it was his car and he was probably driving. The question is whether or not he knew she got hit.
  7. It's a case by case basis. Roger Goddell has said he doesn't have to use precedent or take other cases in consideration when making his decisions. It could be no suspenstion, 2 games, 4 games, 8 games, or the whole season. You can't compare Lynch's case with anyone else. It's unique to the situation. Sooner or later the situation will be resolved in the eyes of the law. Once that is done we will hear from the NFL. I am sure that Roger Goodell will have a one on one meeting with Marshawn. In that meeting Marshawn is going to have to explain the situation to Mr. Goodell. If Marshawn takes a plea deal then Marshawn is going to have to explain to the Commish why he didn't take it the day after the hit and run. Marshawn will have to answer several questions from the Commish and be convincing in his answers. I wouldn't really worry about it. Nobody really knows the full story yet. If Jared Allen can get a couple of DUI's, a four game suspension and then have it reduced to 2 days for showing remorse and taking steps to correct the situation. Then i don't have any reason to believe that Marshawn wouldn't get something similar.
  8. Drive for show putt for Doe.
  9. The people who say Trent Edwards doesn't have arm strength is because they are comparing it to JP. JP has an exceptionally strong arm. He probably has one of the strongest arms in the NFL. Comparing Trent's arm to JP's is apples to oranges if you ask me. You would be better off comparing Trent's Arm to the rest of the QB's in the NFL. I will admit first time i saw Trent throw the ball i was like "WTF is that". His release looks weird to me but after watching him it looks weird because has a very quick release. Because he is so quick with it it looks like he isn't putting anything into it. Brett Favre has the same quick release so it looks similar. I am confident that Trent can hit Lee Evans in stride 50-60 yards down the field.
  10. They are attention whores and their clubs give them what they want. Chad Johnson acted like a kid of years and people like well chad is being chad. The coach finally manned up and started treating him like an adult and then he wants out.
  11. I live in LA currently. I would move back to Buffalo in a heartbeat if i could. Even with the cost of living increase here in LA i still make more money here then i could in Buffalo. It's the only reason why i am not currently in Buffalo.
  12. Didn't you hear we arent' deep at RB because one is going to prison for life.
  13. They might be to a certain extent. The reason why people think they do is because of the media. The media loves to print when a celebrity gets nailed with a DUI. Then they can't wait to state how easy they got off. The problem is that normal people everyday receive the same kind of judgments in court that someone like Mel Gibson received. People love to believe everything that is printed as fact. The problem with the media is the opinions of the writiers come into play. People take those opinions as facts and run with it. The media also has almost zero accountability for the most part. YOu really think that Star Magizine gets sued all the time? The amount of money they have to pay out in legal fees and settlements isn't even a drop in the bucket for the amount of money they receive from printing false information. people love misery so they love Star Magazine. It's to bad that single thought people can't think outside of the box.
  14. I don't think anyone would be happy if it was their Sister/Daughter. If it was my sister or Daughter at least i would know one side of the story from the people actually involved. The only side anyone on this boards knows is what the media printed. The media printed what they received from the police and it's plain as day the Police don't have much so they are using the media to pressure Marshawn.
  15. All i know is that the DA keeps running his mouth to the media to try and get Marshawn to talk. It isn't working. We have heard from the media that there are several eye witnesses, and video of the incident. But no charges have been filed. If they have all this evidence why doesn't he get charged. The media is either making up things or the police is feeding them a bunch of BS. Lets just say the police have everything they say they do. This means the witnesses aren't crediable, the video tape doesn't show much. Sounds open and shut to me.
  16. i gots some video of what happened. SFW. http://www.break.com/index/dude-gets-hit-by-a-car.html
  17. The orginal poster has mixed feelings about the current team based upon his perception of Jim Kelly and the band. I am saying that his perception of them then could possibly be incorrect and that times have changed since then. Alot of people are taking Marshawn's silence as a sign that he is guilty. The only thing that is for certain was that it was his vehicle that is it. I seriously doubt the police have enough evidense to charge anyone in this case. They don't seem to know who the driver was. If they did that person would have been arrested and charged. It's pretty simple. The police can't pinpoint the driver so they are using the media to try and force Marshawn to fill in the blanks for them. I bet his lawyer has seen the evidence and knows the DA doesn't have a case against Marshawn. How can they charge Marshawn with anything if they don't know who the driver was. His car was involved in a hit and run but the driver can't be ID'd. I guess there is somekind of fine that could go towards Marshawn because it was his car but that is about it right now. If the police can gather enough information to ID the driver that person will be charged. Nobody from Marshawn's camp is goign to say a word until that happens. The question is why should they? Because some girl got hurt and out of goodness of the heart? It's a dog eat dog world and it's all about self preservation. Marshawn stands to be fined, suspended, lose potentionally millions so of course he isn't giong to say a word until he has to. That "has to" comes when the police have a good case against him. I am not trying to downplay the fact that someone got hurt and potentally drive away without checking on her. If it's a clear case of hit and run then someone should be punished. However, i am not stupid enough to ignore that alot of other things could have gone on that night around this incident. I live in LA i have been down to clubs in the hollywood, Beverly Hills area at 2-3am. It's nuts. yes i understand it's buffalo but there is only one street to hang out there so everyone flocks there. People are retarded here in LA. I have seen people jaywalk on busy streets, yell, scream, holler, fight, hang onto cars as they drive away. I imagine it's the same in Buffalo. Pedestrians get away with alot of crap because they don't have a 2 ton car behind them. Or maybe i play to much GTA IV.
  18. Personally i think Lynch is smart. he hasn't said a thing to the media and is letting his lawyer do the talking. Any smart person who was either driving the car, in the car, or owned the car should do the same thing. The police are being police. They are trying to push Lynch into saying something. They are crying to the media to force Lynch to come to their terms. If they really wanted Lynch so bad and had some solid evidence they would just arrest his ass. Right now it doesn't appear they have anything so they are fishing. People who cry about the goood old days aren't with the times. In the 90's the internet wasn't as widely used. The media wasn't all over the place. Technology has changed things drastically in the last 15ish years. Take it for what it's worth but i know someone who claims he saw Jim Kelly, Bruce Smith, Andre Reed doing cocaine in the back of a bar one night. We know Bruce was busted a few times for it and Jim Kelly had his wild days.
  19. She needs to suck it up. It's only a few bruises and some stitches.
  20. You obviously have been missing things. His name has been mentioned several times. He is doing coverage well, getting pass breakups and he had a INT or 2. It doesn't matter tho like the guy said above.
  21. Did you actually see the throw? It was a duck.
  22. Words of Doom...... "Bend but don't Break" This is the kind of defense we have had since Pat Williams left. Every year i see the playoff teams with strong attacking defenses. Teams that blitz on a regular basis. WE haven't had that in a few years. You could chalk it up to not having the players to do that sort of thing until this year. There is no reason to not be an attackign defense this year. All the pieces are there assuming no significant injuries occur. If the Bills do a "Bend but don't break" attitude type defense with the players we currently have we are screwed. Dick Jauron to me is way to conservative of a coach who doesn't believe enough in his team to take chances. Trent Edwards isn't an issue if you ask me. Trent Edwards play is going to be based upon a few things. 1) Offensive Coaches letting him be a QB fully. This means letting him make his own adjustments at the line. 2) James Hardy - Can he not be a typical WR and learn the NFL game quickly enough to be a factor. Will his size automatically make defenses shift coverage to him enough if he is a rookie. If Hardy can prove to be a threat early on the offense will improve dramatically in all areas. 3) Offensive Line - This line is probably the best since the Kelly years. I would like to see them become a bruiser of a line that just manhandles the opponent. If Marshawn Lynch can drag 3 people with him i think they can help some more. Trent Edwards to me has all the tools to be a good if not great QB in the league down the line. He has size, some mobility, quick release, strong arm, and the brains to do it. Yes a JP losman fan is speaking wonders of Trent Edwards. Even as a JP Losman fan i know that Trent's upside as a QB is much higher.
