WRs Devin Thomas AND Malcolm Kelly both failed the Redskins'

Fans lack patience. it takes years to build a championship team assuming the people knew what they were doing. Donohue obviously didn't. Lets hope that Marv set the ground work for something. We could see the fruits of that laber this year. -
http://www.fathead.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/ Decided to check to see if they had any additions. Last time this year they had Willis and the helmet. Wish they had a Thurman Thomas.

I still don't understand why people think Langston is such a bad player. I think he is a good RT. He isn't fat and lazy like he was made out to be from oakland. I believe he attended everything this offseason. Last year he played very good imo. Marshawn's first TD as a Bill came from that side. I don't remember alot of LDE's getting around him to the QB's. I think everyone agree's the the Bills Biggest problems is at Center in terms of the line. Peters on the line at LT and Langston back at right is obviously the best line but what can you do. If you guys want to bash someone bash Peters. Don't bash the guy who has been a good teammate and switched sides without complaint. And please don't give me the Langston Switched sides for more money speech. Langston said himself it's only temporary until Peters returns.

The Packers screwed up big time in my opinion. I don't understand why they didn't just release him. I think after 17 years, numerous playoff appearances, super bowls, profit from his name and number that he has earned a release. Especially if they don't want him anymore. I understand they are scared he would end up in their division and it would be a nightmare if the team he showed up on beat the packers. But the message they are giving their team is that "sorry you can't beat Brett Favre". I hope the Packers miss the playoffs. They have a superbowl team in my opinion and they won't get there with Rodgers. Rodgers will probably get hurt in the first game anyway.

Chad Johnson is a joke. The offseason fiasco had everything to do with money. Larry Fitzgerald's contract actually. He threw a fit because the Bengals told him they wouldn't negiotiate this year. Chad Johnson became a model Citizen after the Bengals told him that if he was a good boy this year they would look at his contract in 2009. Also, Carson Palmer had alittle sit down with him and i think he set Chad straight.

On second thought I am liking Peters strategy now

I find it somewhat hard to believe that the Bills don't know what the status of his surgery is. There had to be checkups, rehab, etc...... which is all paid for by the Bills. Someone would know if he isn't doing these things. They also should have gotten reports from the doctors on the success of the surgery. I also doubt that the Bills haven't spoken to Peter's agent at some point. You can tell that the Bills are tight lipped about the whole thing. -

It's a poor strategy. I don't know how you are supposed to work out a new deal by not speaking. I wonder if he was learning sign language when he should have been at Mini Camp. Yes i understand he has a agent but in the end the player should have the final say on everything. -
The Bills stance on this subject is similar to other clubs who are having holdout players. The Rams told Steven Jackson to report then they would speak to him. I believe Jackson was hurt last year as well. Hester didn't get his new deal until he reported to camp. Urlacher got a new deal but he showed up to Minicamp and training camp ontime. Tommy Harris got a new deal and showed up to do everything. The Packers aren't getting anywhere with Ryan Grannt. In listening to Sirius all the time It's almost unanimous that people believe the players need to show committment to the club. Committiment in willing to play out their current deal. Pat Kirwan who was the GM for the Jets believes the Bills stance is the best one. Jason Peters stands to lose 405,000 for holding out one month. If he sits out the season he loses game checks worth 3.5 million dollars plus by sitting out it essentially adds another year to his contract. The Bills hold all the cards in regards to the player. Sooner or later Jason Peters is going to have to show his face. I personally think Peters is the best LT in football and deserves the money. He is the anchor of the line and without him the Bills are in trouble. But, Peters needs to show up to camp and prove that he is healthy and in shape.

Thank you. I couldn't have said it better myself.

There is more to Receiving then running routes and catching footballs. There is the running game to consider which is half of the offense. To be a solid #2 guy Hardy needs to understand the running game and how WR's fit into it. I dont' think you listened to what Kirwan said. He didnt' say Hardy was dropping passes or running poor routes. He also didn't say he would suck in the red zone. he said the opposite. He said that Hardy is struggling with everything else. He asked Lee Evans about it and Lee agreed but they both said Hardy would learn it since there is alot of training camp. Kirwan saw the Bills early in camp. I doubt he would say the same thing in middle August.

People still see Langston in a Raiders Uniform. It's obvious that people here only watch the ball.

I wish people would get off their moral highhorses.

I will take a 250-260 pound linebacker over a 220-230 pound (Ellison) Linebacker who can't break through blocks anyday.

Every year a team pays an obsurd amount of money to get a free agent or to keep a player. Then every player who had similar stats or better thinks they deserve the same amount of money or better. It happens every year. You can thank owners like Al Davis, Jerry Jones, Dan Snyder and the players agents for driving the prices up. You can also throw in our poor economy and that the US dollar doesn't go as far as it used to as another contributing factor. Jason Peters needs to get more money. He is or will be the best LT in football. He has put in the time, and effort from being undrafted to an excellent LT. Guys like this deserve the money in my mind. Do i think Jason Peters is handling it wrong i sure do but that doesn't mean he doesn't deserve the money. The thing that bothers me the most about the Peters situation is his silence. I wonder if he is in shape, has kept his weight down, and how his injury currently is. -
i wish he had never have gotten hurt. He could be playing strong side linebacker instead of Crowell.

I had so many doubts that we would have 5ish holdouts this year. We were going to be the first team in a long time to have a 5th rounder hold out. /sarcasm off

I guess i could say the same to you about not looking for similiar topics before posting. Right? http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=68363 There are two reasons why the players tend to not sign until a day or two before training camp. 1) Teams will lowball the contracts and the players will be high. They will meet in the middle. Negiotations take time. 2) Teams have to give out millions in guaranteed money. As soon as the contract is signed they have to hand it over. They don't want to pay the money until they have to.
-
Dude, This happens every year. Most teams wait until the last minute to sign their picks. The Ravens have all their Picks done BECAUSE THEY HAVE STARTED CAMP. God Friday can't get here soon enough so these posts will stop.
-
If you are referring to the teams that have already signed their players i think most have started camp already. The Redskins for one.

wow that is rediculous

Nothing so far. We didn't hear anything about Brad Butler or Kyle Williams either. People are just anxious because Peters wasn't at mini camp. It will happen when people least suspect it. Kinda like Aaron Schobel last year.

They were discussing this on Sirius this morning. Both Bob Papa and Peter King didn't think it ment "no standing at all". Personally i think the Chiefs made it vague for legal reasons. Its a judgment call by security if a Fan is standing to much and ruining the experience for others. You make it vague to cover your bases. there are so many different scenario's in the game to stand in. If the Chiefs tried to list them out they wouldn't be able to cover them all. A fan would then find a loophole, expliot it and then Sue the Chiefs if he/she got kicked out. People need to seriously wait and let it play out before commenting. It's easy to misinterpret words on a page.

I don't understand why this is such news to you. People will defend their childhood heroes, favorite players in sports, etc.... It's nothing new. i am sure there are still people who love OJ Simpson out there.
