Edwards offically OUT for Sunday's game...
kota replied to RayFinkle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
God don't people listen to the interviews. Trent Edwards said Marshawn went to close to him and that he went to wide. Both were in error and these kind of Misqueues happen. this is why you practice so they don't happen. Trent is the starter and it's unfortunate that he can't play in this game. It sounds like if it was the regular season he would be playing. -
I thought Youboty has played well in Preseason. No reason to cut him.

looking good for opener against Seattle
kota replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everytime i see posts about Favre with the Jets, Pennington with the Dolphins, Brady's foot, etc.... it just kills me. It seems some fans are looking for anything to justify that the Bills will win. If the Bills can't beat the Patriots with Brady, The jets with Favre, the Dolphins with Pennington, or a banged up Seattle team there is no way we go to the playoffs. It's as simple as that. -

If we can only beat banged up teams we won't do much in the season. I hate posts like this. -
Ellison got benched witht he signing of Mitchell. No LB movement was done.

Peters AND the Bills both doing a disservice to the fans
kota replied to Pyrite Gal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The fans are doing a disservice to fans if you ask me. The only people who are making a big deal out of the Peters situation are the fans and the media. -

This post makes me want to scream. It's really simple. Peters shows up to OTA's, Minicamp, and Training camp after coming off surgery he gets a restructured deal like Aaron Shoebel did. Everyone knows that Peters is underpaid it's completely obvious. -
Lee Evan's said as much recently which is where this report is coming from. Lee expected it to be done before the season starts.

Finally got to see the Steelers/Bills game...WOW!

You are the true definition of a Fair Weather Fan. You go from "OMG the Bills suck" to "WOW WE ROCK" in a matter of days. That my friend is what a Fair Weather Fan is. I do agree with you that the play calling from Steve Fairchild was terrible last year. I also agree that Dick Jauron is mostly responsible for that because he is the head coach. I am encouraged by what we have seen from Turk this year. I saw good things from him in the Redskins game as well. The use of Hardy as a decoy to open up the underneath stuff. The increased use of TE's in the passing game. The increased use of the RB's in the passing game. When Marshawn lined up as a WR half the defense turned to look at him. Marshawn caught a early pass where he wasn't the dump off guy in the passing game. All of these things were missing last year. i am excited to see what this offense can do. If the Steeler game is any indication as to what this team is capable of i am pleased. -

Last night was nice but it was only 1 half of football. You can outscore opponents in one half of football and lose it in the next. As a Bills fan everyone should understand that since we have the greatest comeback in NFL history. The Bills need to learn how to finish games. Broncos, Dallas and NY Giants from last year ring a bell?

For a guy that doesn't get much love around here i think he has played well at the LT position in Peters Absense. He has gone up against the best pass rushers for the Redskins and Steelers these past two weeks and has done better then expected. DISCLAIMER 1) I am well aware that it is preseason with vanilla defenses but in a 1 on 1 matchup he has outperformed his opponent. 2) I am also aware that he is not better then Jason Peters and should not be moved to LT if Jason Peters shows up. Thanks

They played well there it's fine.

Hardy Played more then two series. He was out there with Losman some.

Channel 13 in Rochester is reporting.....
kota replied to Luvbills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There isn't a link but several different people have said they heard the same thing on the radio/TV. I doubt they are all working together. Maybe this Catalana guy made a mistake or maybe Jason Peters is a Probowl LT with the ability to turn invisible. -

If nothing is mentioned by Chris Brown tomorrow morning then i would say it is false. I doubt the poster who has over 300 posts is somekind of trouble maker. -
Edwards threw a 70 yard TD to Hardy
kota replied to PNW_Bills_Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I disagree with the Average statement. From what i saw on the highlight film it didn't look like he put that much effort into the throw. When JP throws the deep ball he winds up bigtime. He also puts a ton of air on his deep balls. Trent's seem to have a lower trajectory. I didn't see it live so i could be wrong. -

When people say crappy things about Trent's Arm strength it's because they are trying to compare him to JP's mutant arm. Trent Edwards has arm strength. i don't understand where people get that he doesn't. Does he have the arm strength of JP Losman? The answer is no. However, JP is considered to have one of the strongest arms in the NFL. I would say Trent is better then average if not good in the arm strength area. Last year Coach Jauron said he had a strong arm when asked about what his evaluation of Trent was. When the media asked Lee Evans about Trent's added muscle early on in camp and whether he thought it would help the deep ball Lee looked somewhat dumbfounded about the quesiton. He said Trent needed confidence in throwing the deep ball. -

Brett Farve has an ego like every QB in the NFL. He also deserves a ton of respect for what he did with that franchise. He helped bring it out of the dark ages in his time and make the packers a feared team again. I think that Brett Favre thought he could come back at anytime and get welcomed back with open arms. He was wrong but i don't blame him for thinking that. Giving 16 years of your body to that team has to mean something. Superbowls, playoffs, MVP's, etc.... i hear stories all the time about his toughness. I heard a story how he walked into the stadium on crutches, played the game, and walked out of the stadium on crutches. How many people in the NFL would do that now. it seems alot of NFL players cry when they get a hangnail. So no i don't blame Favre for takign it personal when they told him sorry we don't want you after he decided to come back. I also find it amusing that the Packers think they have a better shot with Rodgers then Favre to win a Superbowl. The packers were deathly afraid of a Viking team with Favre on it. If they can't beat the vikings with Favre how do they expect to beat one of the powerhouse AFC teams. There are alot more teams contending to go to the superbowl then the NFC does. It also drives me insane that people keep talking about how this saga has gone on for years and it's Favre's fault. There year is the first time i saw Favre be somewhat of a drama queen. The years prior the media was hounding him about if he would retire the day he was cleanign out his locker after the season. There was alot of speculation when he had the two bad years. I think the guy deserves some respect from the media for trying to figure otu his life. I think he would never say yes/no because he didn't know how the Packers Organization felt about him returning until a later time. I personnally think the media has turned this into a bigger story then it deserves. When a story breaks mentioning that there is a flight plan listed from Mississippi to GreenBay and that it could be Favre it's alittle rediculous. I hope Favre does well in NY with the Jets just not when they play the Bills.

Brett Favre traded to the New York Jets per FoxSports
kota replied to Nostradumbass's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont' understand the fans here. If the Bills can't defeat the Jets with Farve what makes anything think we will win a playoff game. I am sorry but just making it to the playoffs isn't good enough. I find it funny that the Packers wouldn't just release Favre due to the Vikings. The poison pill in the Jet trade makes it even funnier. If the Packers can't defeat a viking Team lead by Favre what makes them think they could beat a AFC team in the Superbowl? There are only two legit Superbowl winners in the NFC that i can see. NFC Superbowl Contenders Giants Cowboys AFC Superbowl Contenders Chargers Steelers Jaguars Patriots Colts Bills (had to throw it here out of pride) -

I am a fan of Brett Favre but he is beatable especially on a crappy Jets team. I personally don't think the additions the Jets made make them any better. They didn't upgrade their WR, or RB and that will kill their offense. There defense isn't any better either. Brett Favre is a west coast system QB who relies on his quick release and mobility out of the pocket. The Jets receivers are anything but quick and they don't have a deep threat.
