It's not considered poor communication when a player does a 180 degree change.

Front Office: Vindictive, Harsh, Miserly

i am not a doctor but his knee has been hurting him for two years now. they sent Ko Simpson to have a MRI to ease his fears about his repaired foot. If they did that then it's a safe assumption they did tests on Crowell's knee as well. If you watch the interviews everyone they spoke to were shocked at what happened. This means a 180 was done on Crowells part. He went from "my knee is fine" to "sorry i am going to have surgery because it's bothering me" within hours. He practiced fully the day before. Ellison said himself he thought Crowell was practicing great for weeks and was shocked. I don't blame the Bills for putting him to IR. They drafted and released players based upon Crowell being there for opening day. He put the Bills in a tight spot and forced them too put him on IR for the better of the team. I seriously doubt the Bills don't want him there this year. You don't bring in Mitchell to put Ellison to the Bench with no plans of having Crowell around. it's that simple. -

Seriously i wish people would actually look at it from the organizations standpoint instead of the players. People are acting like Angelo Crowell didn't dig his own grave. I hate to break it to people but players have the final say on surgery or not. Chad Johnson was told by the club to get surgery done in January and he didn't do it until around MiniCamp after he made up with the Bengals. Angelo Crowell is the only one to blame in this entire situation. He put the club in a tough spot by stating 3 days before the first game that he needed surgury. Why didn't he have it done during Training camp? Was he afraid he would get cut? Why did he deal with all the rehab on a bum knee if he needed surgery? There are to many questions on his part for the Bills front office to be blamed. I repeat once again PLAYERS HAVE THE FINAL SAY ON SURGERY. When you get scoped it's to either take out scar tissue or to take out floating cartiledge. Both of these are painful but not unplayable. If you tell the Front office you can play they will believe you especially if you perform on the field. Before you scream at the front office look at the roster and tell me who they would cut to keep a LB who just had surgery? 5 CB's = NOPE Steve Johnson or Justin Jenkins = Specials teamers and good potential = NOPE 6 DE's = One of them is a long snapper = NOPE 4 DT's = um no they kept 6 DE's instead of 5 DT's. = NOPE Matt Murphy = MAYBE but probably will be cut if/once Jason Peters appears. Demetrius Bell = To much potential = NOPE Gilbram Hamdan = 2nd string QB next year = NOPE 5 Safeties = NOPE to many special teamers 3 TE's = Um no They didn't much many options if any. Angelo Crowell made his own bed. He is better then all of the other LB's on the bench but i don't think he would be here next year anyway. And i won't miss his missed tackles on Sundays. Before any crys about his high tackle numbers i must state that LB's tend to have the most tackles on teams. Since he was the only bright spot on the LB core last year not exactly hard to look good. pfffttttttttttt.... -
Angelo is older it would be more like 6 weeks before he could play. Willis had a scope done a month ago and is a gametime decision for Sunday.

Players vote on Captains every year.

I doubt they had any plans to resign Crowell. Crowell himself said there wasn't any talk between both camps.

Marino has a soft spot for Buffalo
kota replied to bigbillsfan12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dan Marino isn't a bad guy. He has done alot for Jim Kelly's foundations and they seem to have a sound friendship despite the many battles on sundays. Marino even mentioned Jim's son in his HOF speech. Jim Kelly has a cabin in Ellicottville and one year he came down there to hunt. A guy i know was asked to show Jim Kelly and a couple of friends some hunting spots. When the guy showed up early in the morning Jim Kelly, Dan Marino and John Elway were waiting in the driveway. He said they were all very down to earth, and seemed to all be really good friends. -
why Wilson he doesn't start.

I haven't seen anyone say we can't beat the Seahawks. I think the Seahawks will be a good test for our improved Defense and Offense. It will give an indication as to where we will stand for the rest of the season.

And now for something completely different

I am glad we got Marcus Stroud instead. I think Stroud is a better all around 3 down player. -
Russ Brandon, Oline coach, Player, Trainer, etc.... should have made a trip to where he lives. Hard not to talk to someone if they are standing on your porch.

If they had the cash sure.

People need to attend an economics class someplace. Larger CAP = Larger Contracts = Toronto Games. The Bills are poor and i doubt they made a whole lot of money last year. The Green Bay Packers only made 20 million last year and they went to the NFC Championship game and also have Brent Farve a money making machine. You can't sign anyone and everyone you want. Personally most teams spend money based upon the needs of one year. You say the Bills overpaid for average players last year and i disagree. It isn't overpaying it's paying what the market value is at. The Bills needed a OL upgrade bad last year and they did that. They got to good FA's who have played well for the Bills. They aren't pro bowlers but out of a league of thousands only so many people can go to Pro bowl. People also need to understand that just because there is CAP room doesn't mean the Bills can actually spend to the CAP to stay out of the RED.

The Dolphins got "The Flywheel" going.

P R E S E A S O N I am sorry but if anyone thinks their team will do good or bad based upon Preseason is thinking incorrectly. There are way to many examples of teams who go undefeated in the preaseason that suck in the regular season. There are also way to many examples of teams who lose every game in the preseason but go onto the superbowl. The Bills are a living example of this. Lets take some of this years examples. Patriots 0-4 in the preseason. Anyone think they won't make the playoffs? Colts 0-4 in the preseason. Anyone think they won't make the playoffs? Lions 4-0 in the preseason. Anyone think they will make the playoffs? Miami has QB, WR, RB, OL and Secondary Problems. Their DL might be ok but it can't make up for everything else. I am not in love with Bill Parcells at all. His teams haven't won a Playoff game in years. -
edwards will be the next brady/roethlisberger

Your arrogance is awesome. I hope you are right but AWESOME. -
I don't see the point of having 3 QB's on the roster. Especially with all of TE's being hurt. TE's that would have been cut won't be now so that means other area's like WR and CB would get cuts due to it. If you chop out one of the QB's that opens a spot.

Peters already has a bonus clause in his contract??

Agents work for Players. In the end it's the players decision to hold out or not. -
HEY!!!1 Where are the clips of him running for 60 yards, puking then having to sit out a half to eat a Quiznos ham sandwhich? I like those the best!!!!

Tim, Thanks for asking this question. I have never seen anyone of the media dare post in one of these type of boards before. I am sure people look but to actually post and possibly open the floodgates takes some guts if you ask me. The lack of outcry for more coverage of the Bills has occurred because of the dislike for most media outlets. I know there is a general dislike for the media from people on this board. I count myself as one of them. My main reason for the dislike is the lack of accountablity the media seems to have. It seems nowadays the Media in general not just football will print anything to make a dollar. If they are wrong you rarely seem a retraction. I realize that with the Internet Newspapers are dying so people are reaching to keep a job but it does more damage in the eyes of the consumer then anything if you ask me. If you need an example i can give you a good one of what i am talking about in regards of accountability. Ralph Wilson voted against the CBA a few years ago. When he did that he was called a senial old fool by numerous media outlets. I heard it on the radio, on websites, and read it in the newspapers. Ralph Wilson dared to vote no against the CBA where people like Dan Snyder, Jerry Jones, and Robert Kraft voted YES. The so called great owners of our time who will be first ballot HOF'r someday voted YES so it must have been a good decision right? It turns out it wasn't and I have yet to see anyone of the media outlets retract their "senile old fool" comments. It's just wrong if you ask me. ON top of all that I also dislike the Media for not making a push to get Ralph Wilson into the HOF. He deserves it considering back in the day he loaned money to financially troubled teams so they could make payroll for the week. Al Davis was one of these people and i believe he is in the HOF. The media has a large say in the HOF voting but they turn Ralph Wilson down. I don't know why and i assume it's due to him making waves in Large Market Club Pools. So no you won't see me doing any dances to get the media to print more items about the Bills. I have no reason to believe that they would print anything good about our football team. Why would i want to read negative things about a team that I love no matter who gets the W on Sunday? One last note. Don't get discouraged by the comments sections on blogs. It's a internet toughguy playpen. If you want an extreme example go to http://www.break.com Pick one video and read the comments. I am willing to bet you willl see somekind of racist comment within the first page. Thanks for reading this response.

It's considered a good thing when CB's names aren't mentioned. It means their guy is covered.
