Jason Peters was sucking wind today. He didn't experience any of the NY humidity in the summer. He goes down to Jacksonville with 95 degree weather and is winded. It was to be expected. We probably won't see Probowl Jason Peters until week 4-5 in terms of game shape. Peters is a good athelete but he isn't that good.

Please pay attention to last years stats when considering seahawks and Jaguars rush defense. 2007 11th Overall Jaguars - 100.2 Yards a game 12th Overall Seahawks- 102.8 Yards a game Bills Rush Yards 2008 Against Seahawks 106 Yards Against Jaguars 76 Yards So we are low against the Jaguars but you also need to consider that the Bills Offense barely had the Ball in the 3rd Quarter and when they did Trent Edwards fumbled the ball. If things continue Marshawn will probably only get 1100-1200 yards this year. The Bills have a two headed attack with Marshawn and Jackson. I personally would love to see Marshawn have a Michael Turner type day but those are rare and the Bills current offense is more pass friendly.

God people are lame. Why are people buggin about arm strength. Just because the Bills haven't scored a 70 yard TD score people think Trent edwards arm strength sucks. If you look at the longer throws from last week and the one this week the situation calls for a high lofted ball. It's due to the position of the defenders and allowing the WR to have the best opportunity to make a play. If you are looking for arm strength you need to look look for the 30ish yard strike that requires not alot of elevation so it doesn't get picked off. If you are throwing the sidelines on a 30 yard pass it's more like 40 yards. Trent has yet to have an opportunity to throw this pass yet. But wait if you look to the preseason he did it agains the Steelers. Bottom line is that Trent has good arm strength. He doesn't have Jamarcus Russell type arm strength but look at what he's done the last 2 games. NOTHING. They came out int he same year and Trent is leagues ahead of Jamarcus Russell in terms of development. Trent is going to be a very good QB in this league. He's obviously a winner. If today's game doesn't show you that then nothign win. Trent has great pocket presense, quick release, and good decision making ability. He also spreads the ball around. That 3rd and 9 strike to Evans today is a great example of what kind of QB he can be. I love how people call Trent Captain check down. I bet they are JP backers which is fine. I like JP just as much as the next guy but i also realize that JP struggles at things Trent doesn't. JP doesn't throw the short passes or finds the check down well. JP does have a stronger arm then Trent but i am not sure if he throws the long ball better. I have seen him miss on the long throw plenty of times. DRIVE FOR SHOW PUTT FOR DOE PEOPLE. Anyone who plays golf will understand that this phrase has alot of meaning in football.

I don't think he will. Nickle CB's are pretty much starters in this league. Alot of teams do alot of 3 wide and 4 wide formations.

There are still alot of questions about this team. All 3 phases played well yesterday. The offense was in 3rd place for performance. If one of the phases completely sucks can we still win? When we are 3 points ahead and there is 2 minutes left will the defense hold? Can the offense score a needed touchdown to win the game with 2 minutes left? None of these questions have been answered and it will come up at some point this season. The team and fans can't expect the Bills to win by 24 points every week. It would be nice but the close games you win is what makes you a superbowl winner.

Peters holding out did show some things to the coaching staff. If Langston gets hurt Kirk Chambers can fill in and play well. If Jason gets hurt Langston can move to LT and Kirk can step in at RT. I think we are set at the line for once.

Um if you go undrafted by a team you are a free agent. This was the case for Jason. He went undrafted and then the Bills signed him to a free agent contract. Jason Peters was actually cut at the end of training camp, cleared waivers and was signed to the Bills Practice squad in his rookie season. So yes Jason Peters picked the Bills just as much as the Bills picked Jason Peters by giving him a contract. Man people only hear and remember what they want.
