The Bills need to start playing to WIN. They are currently playing not to lose the game. I think it's a BS theory. The coaching staff talks about how they didn't get enough plays, bla blah blah. When you handcuff your team with conservative type play calling they can't make plays. DUH..........

People need to stop looking at what other teams are doing to try and solve the Bills problems. The Titans are a completely different team. They are winning due to Strong running game and a strong Defense. Kerry Collins is asked to not screw it up with Turnovers. He has done a remarkable job at it and until last game wasn't asked to throw the ball much. The difference between Collins and Young is that Collins has like 10+ years in the league and knows when not to throw a ball. YOung just threw it which racked up the INTs. The Bills don't have a strong running game or as strong of a defense as the Titans. A Vet QB wouldn't help this team out.

The reason why the Bills are losing is because they can't run the football. If you can't run the football you can't run out the clock giving the defense less time on the field. If you fix the running game the Bills will start winning games again in bunches. I have no idea what is wrong with the Oline. All i know is that when Marshawn tries to run up the middle he runs into a big pile with no running lanes which gives him the 3.5 yards per carry he currently has. People are tying to find every excuse under the sun as to why the Bills are losing. It's either the schedule, poor red flag throwing, etc... I personally think the Bills Oline needs to Man up and get nasty.

Ok Trent Edwards. He is the QB and captain of the team.

Marshawn Lynch screaming at his OLine if they suck.

Without a Runnng Game a Good QB cannot Dominate

If the Bills could have managed 100-150 combined total rushing yards each of the last 3 losses they would have won each game. -
Why aren't helmets foam padded on the outside?

It's football. Players know the risks just like Coal Miners know the risks of lung complications and caveins. With the rate of the fines and fan questions the players should just invest their money in Nerf Stock. NERF BOW AND ARROW -
Is Schobel a better player than we give him credit for?
kota replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Schobel is a good player. He is a excellent at playing the run. His sack total is down which most people see as a sign of suckage. -
Turk is failing at the game of chess. Teams have figured out the Bills offense and he is failing to adjust around what they are throwing at him.

Every week we see injuried players who practice all week and then are listed as out. Sometimes i think the Bills are too conservative with their injuried players.

I would argue that the conservative coaching staff leads them to be boring and predictable. Lets play a game. Please fill in the blank with any play you would like to see from the offense. Where are the _______ Plays? WR Screens. RB Screens. TE Screens. End Arounds. Reverses. Flea Flickers. Bootlegs. Play Action. Any more? -

They did waste a timeout on the punt which didn't help the defense to get a chance to stop NE. Buffalo Bills at 02:19 1-10-BUF 39 (2:19) (Shotgun) 5-T.Edwards pass short right to 13-St.Johnson pushed ob at NE 46 for 15 yards (21-D.O'Neal). Two-Minute Warning 1-10-NE 46 (2:00) (Shotgun) 5-T.Edwards pass incomplete short left to 81-J.Hardy [99-M.Wright]. 2-10-NE 46 (1:57) (Shotgun) 5-T.Edwards pass incomplete deep left to 11-R.Parrish. 3-10-NE 46 (1:52) (Shotgun) 5-T.Edwards pass short middle to 81-J.Hardy to NE 39 for 7 yards (23-J.Webster, 58-P.Woods). Timeout #1 by BUF at 01:04. 4-3-NE 39 (1:04) 8-B.Moorman punts 36 yards to NE 3, Center-72-R.Neill, downed by BUF-17-J.Jenkins. New England Patriots at 00:55 1-10-NE 3 (:55) 42-B.Green-Ellis up the middle to NE 6 for 3 yards (92-R.Denney, 37-G.Wilson). Timeout #2 by BUF at 00:49. 2-7-NE 6 (:49) 42-B.Green-Ellis left tackle to NE 8 for 2 yards (92-R.Denney, 59-K.Mitchell). Timeout #3 by BUF at 00:42. 3-5-NE 8 (:42) 16-M.Cassel kneels to NE 6 for -2 yards (43-B.Scott). END QUARTER 2 -

That didn't help sure but to be honest the Defense isn't the problem of this team. It's the offense. Throwing on 3rd and 1, punting when in field goal range, no running game, terrible centers, lack of imagination with play calling, my own ability to spot run plays and pass plays formations 3000 miles away in a comfortable chair. Personally i think the following should be done to see if a spark can occur. Start Steve Johnson opposite Lee Evans. Start Derek Fine. Start Ellis in place of Ryan Denny. I would put Hardy in the slot and have him run slant routes through the middle. I would send Roscoe Parrish long every chance i could to draw the safety's away from Lee Evans. -
From top to bottom the Bills are a conservative football team. Talent aquisition aside it starts with the Head Coach. I have never been a big fan of Dick Jauron because he is way to conservative for my tastes. Every week i see the coach not take chances with his players. Against NE there is a perfect example of conservative type coaching. Late in the 2nd quarter just before half time the bills were in field goal ranch for Lindell. It would have been a 54ish distance kick. Lindell can make those. The bills opted to punt and it was a great one. downed inside the 5 yard line or something. The defense fails to stop NE and NE ends up running out the clock. Before the punt was made the camera's cut away to Ryan Lindell standing on the sidelines waiting for the call to go in. When it was decided that they would punt i saw Lindell's face/body language and it was of disappointment. He wanted to kick that ball to give the Bills some kind of lift and it was denied. I understand why the Bills punted. They hoped to pin the ball deep into NE territory, force a 3 and out and get better field position with some time on the clock. Instead the game goes to Halftime with zero points for the Bills. If Ryan makes the kick the Bills get 3 points and with a decent kickoff NE around the 20 yard line. I don't see it being up different then the field position they got with the punt. But the Bills would have had 3 points. The point of this post is that Conservative mind sets in my opinion is the wrong attitude to give players. Every player wants to be a playmaker. If players aren't given the opportunity to make plays then they are denied the thing they love doing the most. I believe it wears on the mentality of a team and it shows lack of confidence from the coaching staff to the players about their ability.

When will people realize that football games are won/lost in the trenches. The past 3 games that we have lost was due to poor play by the offensive and defensive lines. It's not the QB/RB/WR's. It's the lines they are terrible. When your center is knocked 2-3 steps backwards on every play there is a problem. Line play starts in the middle and then outwards. When the Center is getting knocked around like a little girl it causes other players to try and help out. This then causes a chain reaction throughout the whole line and a breakdown of the offensive line. On running plays the Bills line needs to give Marshawn 3 yards of blocking. Marshawn can get 2-3 yards more on his own. On the defensive line teams are doubling up on Stroud and Kyle Williams because the DE's cannot beat one on one match-ups. Since they cannot get good pass rush with 4 guys the Bills are forced to send LB's into the mix. If the offense sees the blitz coming they audible into quick slants because there is one less guy in the middle to worry about. Throw in some conservative play it safe play calling and you will see losses. It's not rocket science.

How are the Lions doing?

Is 5-3 / tied for 1st better than what you expected ??
kota replied to SKOOBY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills need to beat the Patriots twice and split with Miami/NY Jets. Along the way Miami and the Jets need to lose to the Patriots. That should put us at the top of the division. -
Can i please have the name of the boat and port you guys are leaving on? I want to set it on fire as you leave so you can't come back. Turncoats.

He draws double teams so yes.

Have you looked at San Diego's defensive talent? No way they should suck as much as they do even without Merriman.
