TBN: Bills / Peters ~$3 M apart - Peters wants over $11.5 M
kota replied to SKOOBY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's simple. Teams Lowball Players Players put crazy price tags on themself. Somewhere in the middle they meet. I doubt the Bills will let him walk. -
So wait Cutler has as strong of an arm as Elway but Elway throws it with more power? HUH?

Maybe i am optimistic but maybe Buffalo just works for TO. The fans always embrace players and the stadium is always rockin. He is going to like that. My mother asked me about TO and her parting words were "People deserve another chance". -

TO has consistently said the right things at each stop but something seems to happen. I would say that the media is mostly responsible for the reputation TO has. They created it by goating him into conversations and hanging on every word. TO does put his foot in his mouth but i don't think he is being vengeful. I just think he is trying to be intellegent or funny but he screws it up. His press conference he said two things that he thought were intellegent or funny but it turned out wrong. Not bad just wrong. "Beat to my own Beat" and "left america's team for north America's team". The first he just screwed up an old saying and the 2nd he said with a smile on his face. He was trying to be funny and give the Bills some credit. It just sounded odd to me. Dick Jauron said today that Emotional outbursts happen all the time. If TO has a outburst people need to respect what he is saying and not just try to sweep it under the rug. Every team had done that so far until this point. Players need to not let the emotion of the game ruin relationships on the locker room. Everyone here should be well versed in the battles between Andre Reed and Jim Kelly back i the old days. Back then there weren't as many camera or the internet so nobody cared. TO is a fantastic football player. He has put so many QB's on the map it's just dumb. People need to ask themself who would Jeff Garcia, Tony Romo, and Donovan Mcnabb be today with him? Mcnabb was doing well before TO but they didnt' get to the superbowl and almost win it without TO. -
TO's problem is that everyone treats him special. He needs to be with his teammates.

TO second in the league in dropped balls last year w. 33
kota replied to Willis990's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
TO also had a 60 year old QB named Brad Johnson throwing to him for 4 games. -
Every team TO has been on the organization paraded the Coach and TO to the media. At each stop it turned out bad althought Dallas is debatable. Having Jauron up at the podium and having to answer the obvious question with Terrell standing next to him is a uncomfortable situation. The Bills played it right if you ask me. It was more about how Terrell is going to help the Bills rather than how he is a risk to the sanity of the team. Everyone thinks TO is a selfish player. I somewhat disagree. He is selfish like most offensive playmakes but not to the extent everyone thinks. TO has been the top WR for 5-8 years. At every team he has been on he has been the offensive weapon. Even at the last few years in San Fran. Jerry Rice was getting older and TO eventually became the #1 guy with Rice still on the team. He did very well in PHilly and over hte last 3 years in Dallas he has had the most TD's out of every WR in the league. Nobody can deny that TO is an awesome football player. He is 35 and people say his skill is declining. He had a down year last year if you count 10 TD's a down year. Plus people need to remember he had Brad Johnson throwing to him for 4 games. TO's problem is that he knows he is good. He feels that with the Ball in his hands the team stands a good shot at winning. Alot of people will probably agree with that. IF TO is open it's usually for a good gain. If the QB misses a open TO and checks down or throws to a TE for minimal yardage the QB has issues. Trent said today that he wants a WR to walk up and tell him he was open. He said that if a WR doesn't do that than they are in the wrong business. I think this is a great attitude to have and if TO understands how receptive Trent is to him they probably won't have many issues. TO just needs to understand that Lee Evans is on the other side and can make big plays for the offense. TO to my knowledge never had issues playing with other WR's. He had Rice, Glenn, etc....

How can grabbing the most talented WR in the league...
kota replied to SKOOBY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Over a 3 year period TO has scored more TD's then any other WR available. People say his skills are declining and i am not so sure. He had a pretty good year last year considering Romo missed like 4 games. -
My god every team signs players to try and get to the superbowl. It's marketing. I don't understand why people see that as a negative? Don't you want the stadium to sell out?
-
LOL? Every move any team does is about ticket sales.
-
I find it amusing because people seem to think money and being in the NFL will make you forget the first 20ish years of his life. People don't change overnight.
-
Marshawn could get suspended for a year and i would still want him on this team.
-
if i were LT i would tell them to go jump off a cliff. The chargers ran him into the ground over the years and now asking him to make less money. It's kinda sad. Unfortunately, i am not sure if there would be a market for him out there. Most teams have spent their money. Maybe KC would take him.

Florida Boat Accident Survivor: 2 NFL Players Gave Up Hope

Hypthermia can cause this kind of behavior. -
I don't understand why everyone has to be so dramatic. If you don't want to spend the money anyone don't.

Can i have your stuff?

So Far We've Lost More Talent Then We've Gained

God go outside pls -
i am somewhat sick of people crying because the Bills are signing backups. There are a ton of backups in the league who are stuck behind entrenched starting veterans and Pro Bowl players. These so called backups could very well be starters on other teams and maybe eventual pro bowl players. I personally like the signing of our new center, Drayton Florance and Fitzpatrick. They aren't Albert Hayensworth type signs far from it but i am also glad we aren't the Redskins. Dan Snyder is banking on there not being a CBA next year. If he is wrong he will have to cut half his team to get under a salary CAP. you don't get to SB's that way. Please remember that James Harrison was cut 4 times and now look at him. There are plenty of guys in the NFL looking for a opportunity. Pat Thomas could be the next guy and for the money he will get it's a small gamble.

If they can't sign coles they should just start Steve Johnson
-
Wow people get so worked up when they see the Redskins, cowboys, and raiders sign big money FA. Have you guys seen any of those teams do anything recently?
-
They must like you less.

KC lost some Draft picks to NE so maybe they will bite.
