Grimm tells us why the Bills gig isn't that good.

So now we all love Donohoe? -
I think they are both good coaches. I also think they both will eventually be a HC in the NFL. Personally i would prefer to get Shottenheimer. The Jets had the best run game in the league this year. Their line is fantastic. Watching their pass play calling is also impressive. The Jets did alot with Sanchez at the helm as a rookie. He had the INT problem but a coordinator can't stop him from making bone head decisions.

Speculation and rumor. It is what it is.

91 years old. Think about that... NINETY-ONE YEARS OLD

Ralph Wilson doesn't have a Son does he? His daughter died last year. In all of the cases where the torch was passed there was a son to take it. Ralph doesn't have the luxury. He could pass the torch to Russ Brandon or someone else but people would B word. The last option is to sell the team to a uncertain future in Buffalo. I don't think anyone here would be happy with that. -
Frazier interviewing with Seattle. Or not. Or he is after all.
kota replied to dgrid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
HOLD ON PEOPLE. Look what Glazer said. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/seattle...jim-mora-010810 He said people know that Seattle is after Pete Carroll and minority coaches like Frazier aren't interested in being a Rooney Rule Candidate. -
Is Schoebel retiring or is he just sick of losing?
kota replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Aaron spoke about many factors in his decision to retire or not. Losing was a factor but his home situation was more of a factor. He said that his kids are getting to the point where moving them around to different schools pending on where he is isn't good for them. He said he wouldn't spend 9 months of the year away from his family. -
Not Optimistic about all these coached being reatined

All the more reason for Cowher to come in and get paid to do nothing!!! -
Cowher the Cowher is Cowher for Cowher in Cowher's Cowher
kota replied to bills_red's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You basically don't morgage your team away. Some teams give player contracts that give alot of money. you get to many of those and you end up having to cut some people. Cash to CAP is actually good if you ask me. Cowher was a steeler for years. The steelers never spend anythign on Free Agents. -
Cowher the Cowher is Cowher for Cowher in Cowher's Cowher

Let me guess. Peter King spoke to the GM of the Chargers. Nix had a falling out with him after all. Peter King is a joke. I used to listen to this guy on Sirius and quickly figured out that he is full of hot air. -
Take Brian Schottenheimer name out!
kota replied to buffalo1983's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
don't you people read these boards? The Jets are in the playoffs. The Bills cannot interview him until the JETS lose. It could be this week or after the superbowl. The Bills can only interview with people if there is a bye week for them. I believe this is a NFL rule. Every year we hear about how good coordinators don't get HC opportunites because their teams go to the superbowl. Spagnalo from the Giants was sought after during their Superbowl run but he missed out because most of the good HC opportunities were gone. If my memory serves me right Spagnalo's only option was the Raiders and he passed. I wonder why. -
Players make the coach, not the other way around

It takes Good Players and a coach who can mold them into a cohesive unit. -

La Canfora says he doubts Cowher comes to Buffalo
kota replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lets see Mort and Adam S say that Cowher is going back to CBS. Glazer and this jason guy say that isn't entirely true. Now Jason thinks that Cowher won't come here. It's all speculation. -
The whole idea of a established QB is stupid. Any team with a losing record doesn't have a established QB hence the losing record. Teams with bad records are the teams looking for HC's. I think Cowher knows this.

Bobby April and the secondary coach coming back wouldn't be a bad thing in my opinion. It has to be the HC's decision not the front offices. There is a chain of command on everything. When the owner or the front office break that chain of command is when things get weird.

So why are Modrak & Guy not on the list?
kota replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i am not exactly sure on how things are done in the Bills offense but I don't think Modrak or Guy made the final decisions on players. I think they give the recommendations. Russ Brandon was never a football guy so of course he is going to lean towards those recommendations. Jauron has alot of say as well. With Buddy Nix as the GM he will basically make those decisions now. -
I see multiple threads and comments about people wondering why all of the staff was let go. Buddy Nix understands what it is to be a GM. He is going to let the new HC pick his own staff. It makes zero sense in keeping anyone from the staff and forcing the new HC to work with him. Buddy Nix said it himself that the HC Needs to be his own CEO and assemble a good staff. He said that is a quality a new HC needs. Buddy Nix is cleaning house after a decade of the same old ****. Who knows maybe the new HC will bring some of these guys back. I wouldn't mind if Bobby April came back.
-
The new head coach could come in and bring some of these guys back. They are lettting the next head coach assemble his own staff.

Starting Fitz would only be a marketing ploy..

Where do people get these lame ideas from? -
Do trades count towards the conditional rule?

Everyone is missing the point on this situation. Mike Leach is stupid and doesn't deserve to be a head coach of a University. I don't know hte facts of the case that much but i do know that Mike Leach hasn't denied the accussation. He only said "He didn't break any University Rules." The kid sounds like a ahole. Mike Leach as a HC needs to be a leader of men and take the high road. It sounds like he went down to the same level as this Adams guy. He also didn't take the high road in his statements and is defiant. It's my opinion that Mike Leach needs to grow up some. If he has issues with the kid and actually cared about this players well being he could either suspend him or send him home with an escort or at least send him to the hospital to have a CAT scan. Instead he chose a equipment shed.

LOL he will never be a NFL coach now.

Someone is in their high horse. Why can't this guy get banned again?

I thought Brohm's performance was pretty good given the circumstances. His 2nd pick was pretty bad. He made the right read but just threw it to inside. Brohm impressed me the last game. He stood in there and took the shots. He was poise. Very accurate with the ball with alot of zip. He also showed that he isn't scared to throw the long ball. He missed both times to TO but TO's speed is hard to read. Considering Brohm probably hasn't thrown much if at all to the 1's in practice i think he did pretty good. He actually managed to spread the ball around pretty well. Lee had a few catches along with TO. Honestly i have no idea how good any of the 3 QB's are. They had a ultra conservative coach for 3 years. I am afraid he put Edwards Tail between his legs for the rest of his career. Brohm at least had some time with Mccarthy who managed to cut Farve's INT"s down and he also molded Aaron Rodgers into a Pro Bowl QB. I much prefer trying to hand over the reigns to Brohm and build up the line in next years draft.

I personally believe that the Oline woes started once Brad Butler went down. Chambers and Jonathon Scott are better off laying down because they then would at least be a speed bump.
