Yes Marcus Stroud has been playing as a starter throughout OTA, Minicamps, Training Camp, and preseason games so he can be cut before the regular season. Are you Dick Jauron or something? this isn't Langston Walker.
-
Those guys are idiots.
-
You can't make the practice squad until after the last cut day. You could lose him since that cut day isn't until next week.

Chris Brown says Fred Jackson "pounding the milk"
kota replied to ChasBB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He needs HGH. I don't understand why the NFL can't give this to players for medical purposes. -
Meredith should start on the right side if you ask me.

i would rather have Peters than Bell. Bell at RT sounds good to me. -
They will change it for Manning.

I don't think so. The Bills first team scored 3 TD's against Indy's starting teams. GB did the same i think.

Owners want 18 games, players don't
kota replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the NFL isn't broke so why change it. It's just a money grab by the owners. The players will want more money because of it. It's a bad decision. My solution would be. 1) Make OTA's and Mini Camps closer to Training camp. Reduce the amount of OTA's for the players. 2) Reduce the number of preseason games to 2 games. 3) Add the Preseason games to NFL Sunday Ticket and make more of them primetime. If you do this there will be less injuries before the regular season. this will also cause the coaches to play the starters more during the 2 preseason games. Since the starters will be playing more attendance will go up. PLus you will get TV revenue since more people will be playing. St. Louis fans are probably shaking their heads right now. Bradford looked good last night but they probably lost Avery for the season. -
I wouldn't change head coaches for anything.

i would rather have Cowher who would have hired Gailey as OC. That being said I like Gailey as the HC. I think he will do some good things here. He may get the team into the playoffs. Alot of people here say this team is below average talent. I disagree. I don't think the previous coaching staff did a good job of coaching or putting it's players in a position to succeed. I can see players like Poz, Whitner, Williams, Edwards having career years. -
When the Bills win their division they will be speaking another toon. Anyone who makes predictions this time of year is stupid. The AFC North and NFC north are considered tough divisions but the Vikings and Green Bay could both suck.
-
The coach has some swagger to him. He is a no nonsense kinda guy. That will eventually trickle down to the players. If the players believe in the coach and what he is trying to accomplish the bills will win games this year. Winning games creates confidence.
-
The bills are back to their regular season schedule now. There should be a presser later this week that will probably give an idea as to who is playing. Chris Brown will surely give an update.

Sullivan needs to wait for the regular season. the Bills aren't doing anything special to hide their pass rush. That is what the 3-4 is all about. Being unpredication with the rush and disguising it. They bills aren't going to show their hand in preseason. I like Poz and Mitchell in the middle to stop the run. Kelsey and Ellis will be decent on pass rush. AGainst Indy they almost had Manning a few times with basic pass rushes. The defense will be good IMO.

My guess is the removal of scar tissue from his most recent surgery. It's just a guess.

It must have been really bad for Chan to even notice it was going on. I am glad the coach made the decision to not sign for the fans. He will take any and all heat for it. The players would have still signed because otherwise it's a PR nightmare for them.

What are the operating costs for the Bills? You need to know this before calling Ralph cheap. You need to remember that the Bills are a business whose sole purpose is to make money. If you start paying the absurd amount of money teams like the Redskins do for Albert Haynesworth the bills might go in the red. If the Bills going into the Red they are moving. Is that what you want?

QB rotation for Bengals game
kota replied to Cotton Fitzsimmons's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Edwards is going to start and play until the Starters go out. Anything after that doesn't matter does it? Brohm didn't start the world on fire last week. Fitz didn't the week before. Brohm's performance doesn't scream play with the starters if you ask me. -
Bills the Pirates of the NFL (new ESPN article)

Where do the Saints, Indy, Pittsburg, and NE all fall in terms of players contract spending? -
Bills the Pirates of the NFL (new ESPN article)
kota replied to Gabe Northern's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LOL ok. Yes Free Agent signings make teams awesome. IT works every year right? LOL ok. Oh wait i know the bills need to spend 14 million a year on a corner. If they did this the fans would be happy? Sorry but your conclusions from two articles about two different cities and two different sports are poor. I don't understand how you can draw comparisons between the two. -
I lost respect for him after he hit Fred Jackson in the back during practice. IT appearred to me that he showboated some about it.

Spiller should play the Spiller position, not RB
kota replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gailey did say that. Chad Simpson and Bell are not receiving threats based upon what i saw at training camp. Lynch Jackson and Spiller all have great hands which is why Gailey was looking at two back sets. You could just throw simpson/Bell in there with Spiller and run the two back offense but it wouldn't be as effective. The defense would just key in on Spiller. This would ruin the evaluation of players and the plays for the coaching staff which is why they are probably putting it on hold until Lynch gets back. This is my assumption anyway. -
Random thoughts re injuries, cuts and other matters
kota replied to jahnyc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Injuries - Nobody to IR yet so not a huge deal. Injures are part of the game. Several teams in the NFL have already put starters to IR. Pittsburg and NE for example. I don't expect Wang to contribute at all this year unless injuries happen. Cuts - Kelsay will probably start. We haven't seen him perform yet and there are some pass rush concerns. Kelsey used to have 5ish Sacks a year at DE. Lets see what he can do. I like Ellis he plays hard. I would prefer him over Maybin. I also expect Mitchell to start. Him and Poz in the middle is the best option in my opinion. I think the Bills fully intended to bring in Andre to help with the 3-4 transition with intentions of starting Mitchell eventually. Rock Bottom - What's rock bottom the first pick in the draft? If you are basing this opinion on what you say in the first preseason game then you are jumping to conclusions. Wait till game 3 of the preseason to jump off the ledge. If we dont' see marked improvement by then its cause for concern. The offense looked good at times and horrible at times against Washington. Same with the defense. It's going to take time for the coaching staff and players to setting into their new environments. Ownership - I hope someone buys the Bills and keeps them local. -
You guys really thought the line played poorly against Washington? I thought they did pretty well. They ran the ball well and pass protected Ok with 3 starters out of the lineup. I wouldn't pass judgement on the line until Bell, Wood, and Green are starting then you guys can harp on it.
-
You want positives i will give you positives. -Run blocking is pretty good. All RB's made plays. -Pass protection looked ok with 3 starters out. -Lee and Steve Johnson both looked good against decent corners. -Decent QB pressure. Maybin even got involved. -Chris Ellis looked good. He should start if you ask me. Negatives -INT obviously. Trent needs to throw that away. Lee needs to step into it. -Maybin's penatly kept a drive alive. Weak call if you ask me. -Pass defense is suspect. To much open over the middle. -Cut Reggie Corner he's terrible. Please put in youboty.
