Buddy has from day one stated that his job is to bring competition to all positions on the field. Draft, Free Agency Whatever. Signing Merriman to a two year deal wasn't a bad move. He wasnt' given a whole lot of money. It was a gamble. If Merriman returned to form you would be praising him. It didn't work out and it didn't cost a whole lot. If anything Merriman has helped this team with his attitude, leadership, and teaching the younger guys. Merriman is done now we get to see what the young guys can do full time. Battan, Moats, Coleman, have a chance to become something. Spiller wasn't a bad signing either. It was the first year with Chan and they needed offensive playmakers. Spiller had trouble with the speed of the game and blitz pickup. He has improved in both areas. In the times he has carried the ball this year he has looked good. If Freddie gets hurt people will be happy that Spiller is on the team. You can count me as one of hte people who are didn't think much of Fred Jackson. I saw the talent but his age scared me. He has looked good this year. Spiller is hard pressed to take playing time from him. Spiller will be the feature back some day. I don't think the Bills will resign Fred once his contract is up. 30 year old running backs are not getting 50 million dollar deals. I have Spiller and Jackson on my fancy team. I will be starting both this weekend.

Nix has brought competition to all positions that his contribution. Getting Spiller or Merriman doesn't hurt the team at all.

People who don't like this deal want Andrew Luck. It's obvious. Luck will probably be going 1st overall if Carolina or Jaguars don't have the first pick. Luck will then go 2nd. The Bills will not be picking in either of those spots. To trade up you would have to give half of 2012 and part of the 2013 draft to get him. The Bills have needs in other areas. Pass rusher, Safety, WR to name a few.

Some people are just crazy. CJ is a much better player this year than last. He would probably be a 1000 yard back if Fred wasn't on the team. CJ is the future RB of this team.

Ever since spygate BB has been in the spotlight of the media. It's his own fault. His flyby's after games has more to do with getting off the field and away from the media than anything else. At least that is my opinion. I thought BB was good to Chan yesterday. I watched the exchange because i am curious like everyone else. He did more than a handshake. If you guys watched the NFL special on BB in the 2nd part he was talking to Brady on the sidelines about how the Bills always play them tough. He wasn't talking to the media. He was talking to Brady.

I have Jackson, Nelson and Fitz on my team. Only Jackson is starting.

Koppen has been out 1.5 games. Brady has managed to put up almost a 1000 yards during that time. I think they will be ok.
