  1. No way? Johnny Goofball has a drinking problem?
  2. Can you deflate 11 balls in 90 seconds? That is the amount of time the dude was in the bathroom. If this is all the NFL has to go on then there isn't a story here anymore.
  3. Good luck with your Rookie HC. I am happy to have Rex and hope that in a new situation he will correct any issues he may have. The one thing you failed to account for in the entire post is the GM of the Jets. You are on your 3rd GM in 3 years. Not sure if that is Rex's issue and its pretty easy to show that the Jets haven't drafted well or gotten good value out of Free Agency. Not sure if that is Rex's fault.
  4. Sammi didn't have Eli throwing to him. OBJ didn't have to face Revis twice. At least 10 games where the Bills faced a top 10 defense at the time. Giants had zero play makers outside of OBJ and force fed him the ball. OBJ had a great catch against the cowboys that was meaning less. Sammi made more clutch catches than OBJ did. Lions and Vikings stick out. Sammi had 4 weeks of EJ and then Orton. Orton started to suck after two games. EJ was inconsistent. Injured with bad ribs for at least the first 4 weeks. OBJ played in the NFC east who all had terrible secondaries. People just look at stats. OBJ is a good player but I think over the long hall Sammi Watkins will have a better career.
  5. EVeryone thought the same about Stevie then he got a deal and then Marrone ruined him by putting him in the slot like a moron.
  6. Spiller hasn't opted out of his contract yet. He could elect to stay to try and resurrect his career. If Murray only got offered 4 years 16 million Spiller is probably in the 10-12 million range. He might want to stay.
  7. SPOILER ALERT Sorry i somewhat disagree with you on this. It's not a completely accurate portrayal of Chris Kyle at all in my opinion. The only thing they got right was the issues he had with his wife because he kept going away. I read his autobiography a few years back right before his death. The events covered in film didn't happen in the book at all. There wasn't a butcher/Sniper-on-Sniper warfare. It was a way to hollywood it up for a film. They also got his first kills in Iraq wrong. It wasn't a kid it was a woman who he shot first. He struggled with quitting the service because he wanted to save his fellow servicemen and he put that before his own family. He also in the movie seemed to be uncomfortable with his "Celebrity" which isn't the case. He repeated said that he didn't care how many people he killed he just wanted to kill more and was almost insulted when he was only credited 160 kills. Chris Kyle is also a notorious liar. He made things up about Jesse Ventura which he lost a 1.8 million dollar law suit on after his death. He also claimed to have killed two guys who tried to steal his truck and that he also sat on top of the SuperDome shooting bad guys following the days of Katrina. Nobody can confirm these stories. So either he made them up, it's a government conspiracy or he potentially murdered people and covered it up on our own soil. I suspect he lied. I have always respected what our armed services have done for our country. I have done a lot of research on the Navy Seals outside of this movie and respect everything they go through just to get an opportunity to train. There isn't any guarantee that you stay in the seals after Basic training and hell week. They show that in the movie when he has issues in target practice. To even get this far shows what kind of mental fortitude one can have. In the book Chris Kyle didn't come off as someone who struggled with what he saw or did. i don't have the statistics but i would assume that Navy Seals have far less cases of PTSD than an 18 year old kid given a few months of training and sent to IRAQ or Afganistan who breaks down from what they have seen. Even with all that said i am somewhat of a fan of Chris Kyle. He saved a lot of soldiers lives playing overwatch with a sniper rifle. He also spent alot of time in his "off" hours training the marines for urban combat. He commented several times that he didn't think they had the necessary training to get them not killed. He did because as a SEAL you get a lot more training than your average soldier. He repeatedly went down and lead the team into the building when he should have been on the roof. He wanted to prevent them from getting killed. He was even ordered to stop and he disobeyed and the guys didn't turn him in. Chris Kyle is somewhat misunderstood. If you can get past some of his exaggerations i think he struggled with what he saw in Iraq. He saw Woman and Children strapping themselves up with bombs and hitting marketplaces and US convoys. I think he saw that as cowardly and evil by the leaders of the country. He wanted to exterminate them which is why he held no remorse. I personally have no issues with this and agree but as Michael Moore said over the weekend we were the invaders in this case under false pretenses and people were defending the homes. It's despicable on what they did to their own countrymen and I hope that Americans would act differently if the roles were reversed. It was a good movie if you didn't read the book but unfortunately it ruined it for me since I had. I expected something like this would happen but i hoped Clint Eastwood would get it right. Bradley Cooper and Sienna Miller were excellent in the movie. Cooper was nominated for a Oscar which he will probably win. Thanks for the time.
  8. Last I checked no two players are exactly alike. They might have similar physical attributes but not the same mentality. EJ isn't Geno or Kaepernick. I would argue that EJ is more of a pocket passer than either of them. Time will tell.
  9. This is such a non-story it's funny. Doug is responsible for the roster period. He has to get input from Rex on what kinds of players he needs for offense/defense/ST. It's in Whaley's best interest to listen to the coach, do the scouting, and then give Rex Options to pick from. It's in Rex's best interest to use the information given to him by Doug to make hte best decisions for the team. The relationship between Whaley and Rex is better off than with Marrone because they have similar mindsets. Run the ball, Good defense. Marrone wanted to be more like New Orleans but didn't have a QB to do it and failed to develop one into the QB he needed. If anything Whaley/Russ/Nix missed the boat on their first coaching search. They are fortunate that Marrone walked out because he looks like the idiot. Doug Whaley has a new lease on his job. They say most GM's get a chance to pick 2 coaches before they are canned. I am glad that Whaley did most of the coaching search and interviews this time. He didn't have to deal with Nix and Pegula is willing to listen to Doug because he is the only guy in the room. The next few years are soley on Doug's decisions. I am personally happy it's that way.
  10. I thought Rex said there was a spot for him if he wanted one.
  11. No thanks. You want to trade a proven Pro Bowl Player for an unknown player in the NFL and then pay 20 million a year for a guy that is a few stomps away from suspensions?
  12. I feel bad for Schwartz but if i were him i would stay if it makes sense. Jumping from team to team doesn't make you a HC candidate again stability will. I think he he stays another year or two he will be considered for alot more jobs in the future. Especially if his defense stays the same or improves and shows that he can work with Ryan.
  13. Are QB schools allowed now due to the CBA?
  14. Good I hope he ends up in Pee Wee Football.
  15. Doug Marrone sucks. he walked out on the players where he talked about Family and got the rest of his staff essentially fired because he wanted to report to the owner. He's a baby. Whatever, glad he is gone. will be interesting to see if he takes Hackett with him.
  16. I still don't understand why people are concerned with the relationship between Whaley and Marrone. They looked just fine together yesterday on the podium. They looked to be in step and on the same page of everything. I am sure a few naysayers will say they put on a face but you would be able to tell if there was tension. You can cut Tension with a knife. I didn't get that sense at all. People need to stop picking up little tidbits that the media is reporting. The Media will report anything they can to draw interest so people read their articles and columns. I honestly hope there are alot of disagreements about the team between the HC and GM as long as it's constructive. When people have differing opinions they need to put everything on the table and in the end the best decision will be made if everyone is heard. I work in a Fortune 100 company and this is common practice in corporations. A Football Organization is no different. The fact they are are doing the 360 approach with the players where they get input from the players on everything in the organization shows me that the are taking this approach. It was almost laughable that these bo dunk reporters had no idea what Marrone was talking about when it was brought up. It's an effective tool if used properly and I am glad the Bills are using it.
  17. Nobody Cares Sam. You aren't in the NFL anymore because you lack talent and bring to much attention to the franchise.
  18. Adam is a hack ever since he joined ESPN.
  19. If they are having this Presser they aren't being let go.
  20. Not sure if Schwartz will get a HC opportunity so soon. It make take a few years to be considered again. I doubt he would jump ship to be a D Coordinator someplace else. He probably has a ton of power here. Bills should just give him a raise and make him an assistant HC or something. Besides you can't just jump at the first opportunity and take it. Way to many coordinators do this and get screwed.
  21. Orton Sucks period. Orton throughout his career has started hot and then sucked down the stretch that leads to him being traded, released, or benched. It's been the same thing on every team.
  22. Would be interested to see how "Bad" the playcalling is with a Better QB.
  23. Thank you for putting all his stats in nice workflow showing that he is an average QB at best.
  24. People who comment on Football toughness probably have no idea what it's like to play with a bad groin, Broken ribs, and hip. If you happen to get one of these injuries next time go dive on the ground.
