Yes EJ is getting cut after running with the Ones during OTA's the last couple of days when Cassel and Tyrod were rotated in and out. -
Fallout from possible Dareus extension
kota replied to Bocephuz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you are worrying about this to much. It can be done. I personally believe OverDorf is a master at managing the CAP. For years people thought he was the true decision maker. It sounds like Doug and Jim have a great relationship. Doug has ideas, he goes to Jim to see what happens with the cap, Doug makes a decision. Dareus is worth more than any of the guys you mentioned including Bree's and possibly rivers. He's still young, is a pro bowl player and go back to the games where he was benched by Marrone for being late or out hurt. Teams ran all over the Bills without him in the middle. Thanks. -
The press speculates on EJ's future
kota replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
News flash when you don't have a starting QB you bring in competition. Rex liked Tyron Tyler years ago. He was on the market so they signed him. They also traded for a Vet with experience at winning some games so if one of the younger guys doesn't rise to the top you have someone. Penning anyone in as the starter now is stupid. They are in shorts. -
Kiper Jr. - 'Bills draft was the WORST of all 32 teams.'
kota replied to #34fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Darby could be the next Revis. Miller could be the next logan Mankins. It all depends. Personally I think the Bills did well in the draft. YOu want 3 guys in the first 3 rounds to be starters within 1-2 years. The rest are all depth players and you might find a diamond in the rough but chances are you won't. Whaley has done a great job since he became the GM. All he needs to do is find a QB and I am betting that EJ will be that guy come September. -
Doug Whaley's Post-Draft Media Blitz
kota replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Please take your negativity someplace else. Why can't Whaley just say it like it is? He didn't have to say that so it means its true. Being the overall smartest guy in the room was what Whaley was referring to not football intelligence. Please learn to read between the lines when it comes to these things. If you don't good luck with the ladies!!! Oh and Terry Pegula didn't become a Billionaire by being a dummy and I doubt he found a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. -

How many years has Matt Cassel had a good team behind him?
kota replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's like Orton all over again. Cassel will not get us to the SB. -
Aaron Hernandez Trial---*Guilty*

I doubt he gets convicted of first degree murder. Not enough evidence. It's all circumstantial. -
NFL hires first female official
kota replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
She actually has been in the Advanced Training Program for NFL Ref's since 2011. Anyone claiming she was brought on due to the Ray Rice's, and Greg Hardy's of the world is mistaken. I am not suggesting this at all. What i am suggesting is that guys like Al Sharpton and Jesse James aren't doing their causes any good because they are in it for personal fame and wealth in my opinion. The Media suggests the same things that the two other things i quoted mentioned but she has been in the program for years. The media folks need to check their facts. I am sure someone will suggest that the only reason why she was promoted was due to PR and why was she in a program for years which would imply that she isn't any good. Again it goes back to facts. The NFL looks for Refs in all sports and all the way back to High schools looking for the best talent. Pending on your experience it might take longer if you haven't Ref'd a NFL game. She also did preaseason games last year. the NFL release 20 percent of their 120 Ref's this year due to quality. She was one of many promoted due due to the layoffs. They have another lady who will probably be a ref sometime here in the near future. She is on the same track. -

not sure why this is a big deal. Sexism and Racism will not go away as long as this kind of attention is brought to it. -
Mccoy says Chip Kelly doesn't respect stars
kota replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One thing about Mccoy is that he speaks his mind. The media will keep asking questions about this because they know he will say something. He's almost like TO in that regard. Chip Kelly was mad at the Bills for supposedly leaking the trade which made it to Mccoy before he could notify him of the deal. What i find humorous is that Chip is mad at this when he failed to even tell Mccoy that he was on the trading block. -

Rex is the glue holding this together. Players/coaches alike love him. -
Cassel advantage and explanation of EJ's command issues
kota replied to Vinaccia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
EJ has had nobody to learn how to be a NFL QB in the league. he has had absolutely nobody. Orton is anything but a leader. Leadership is a responsibility that someone has to be willing and wanting to take on and then you learn it from others. Rodgers had Farve. Brady had Bledsoe. Luck has Hassleback. It took Peyton years to win a championship. I don't recall who he learned from but when you have nobody it's trial by fire and in today's NFL fans and teams aren't willing to wait. -

Roman can build an offense that any of our QBs can execute
kota replied to BackInDaDay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You don't want an offense that anyone can run it's just dumbing it down. You want an offense that your #1 guy can execute by maximizing his strengths. -
Article - "Ryan talks a good game, but will wins follow?"
kota replied to webtoe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well Rex has always had top 10 defenses. He has always relied on the Ground and Pound. HIs former GM's got too reliant on Revis so when he left their secondary caved. Rex has always had issues with QB's. It could be his fault or the GM's. I get the impression that Rex tends to stay out of personal and just coaches what he has. I think this is why Whaley/Rex get along for the most part. Whaley is the GM and responsible for obtaining players that his coaches require. He obviously collaborates well. This is why Doug Marrone and Doug Whaley came into conflict. Marrone wanted more control over personal like he had in college. It doesn't work that way. -
This was once a Garrett Grayson thread
kota replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills must have resigned him on "the cheap" so they say. He will be the starting QB this year and will SHOCK THE WORLD AS THE MVP of the SUPERBOWL. -
After watching a top 5 rushing team go to the bottom 5 in 2 years with basically the same personal it's not a stretch to believe that Doug Marrone and company didn't retard the growth of EJ. Hell they didn't even get him a QB coach until year 2 because Hackett can do everything. Marrone made a ton of mistakes and could have been planning his exit the moment Ralph died and they drafted Watkins which caused him to leave the room. The coach wasn't in the room when the network when to camera in the Bills Draft room. It makes zero sense to not play EJ the last few games of the season after playoffs were missed unless you were auditioning for another job. Rex himself said he didn't understand the benching or something. Whatever, EJ will have his chance soon enough.

He has the same height and close to the same weight of a certain QB out of Greenbay. He slings the ball pretty good. -

kota replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Could be. I heard on Sirius that he had a nice pro day. Scouts reported quicker release than expected and great arm strength. He is also known for pocket presence, feeling the rush and he came from a pro style offense. In his highlights he shows touch on the ball, the ability to throw the deep ball, and he throws receivers open. Wouldn't be upset that they draft him. Only issue is that the Bills spent a 5th rounder on Cassel, paid Tyrod Taylor, and EJ is only in year 3. Can you carry 4 QB's? -
Hard to say really. will be based upon game plan. I expect McCoy to get the bulk in anything they do.
-
Should we draft a developmental QB late round? If so who?
kota replied to Bocephuz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No such thing as a developmental late round QB. -
What's the deal? He was what drafted in the 3rd-4th round last year? Give the kid a break.

With us all in on the Ground and Pound: Taylor will start
kota replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
YOu all need to stop reading to much into the tea leaves. Ground and Pound is nice but you don't spend 50 million dollars on two Offensive receiving threats unless you plan to throw the ball. Tyrod Tyler seems to be a good athlete but that doesn't mean he can run the offense and be a good Passer in this league. By all accounts he had issues with both. I expect EJ to outright win the Job.
