Bledsoe doesn't have to redeem himself in the Pats fans or Tom Brady himself. He doesn't play for that team anymore. He only has to prove himself for the people of Western NY. Who gives a stevestojan about the patriots. Besides Brady isn't that special. He has a ton of time to throw the ball and has a good set of WR's. Schobel isn't average he is beyond that. He had 11.5 sacks last year. That is beyond average. Bruce Smith the sack leader only averaged 10.5 sacks a year himself. This is Schobel's 4th year in the league. He had 6.5 as a rookie, 8.5 his second year, and 11.5 last year. He keeps going up year after year. I assume he will get more this year because he hasn't reached his peak yet. Schobel isn't as flashy as Bruce Smith so he won't get as much attention around the league but he is good against the run and will give you 110 percent every game. He is a good solid DE. Any team would love to have him. He is worth the cash.

Of course it is Gilbrides fault. How can a team go from scoring 30 points a game to nothing by the 3rd week? Did the players forget how to play? There are exactly 2 people who are at fault for last years performance and that is Greg Williams and Kevin Gilbride.

There is a rule in training camp that you aren't supposed to tackle the quarterback. The red shirt reminds them of it. That is it. However, the red shirt will not prevent the defense from pushing the linemen/TE/RB's from getting pushed into the quarterback. When this happens it is called an accident. Contact sport people stevestojan happens. I feel bad for JP and I liked to watch him play but in the end he will learn more from it.
