  1. Yep. No way the Texans wanted to trade him to another AFC team. If they had, BOB would not only be sniffing glue, he'd be on amphetamines too.
  2. Then Tre White can shut him down.
  3. This is what I want to know. Is the NFL going to stick it to half of the teams season ticket holders? Force them to pay full price for two meaningless games?
  4. Wouldn't hate this, if the Bills are in on it. Too bad that the Rams aren't trying to trade Cooper Kupp.
  5. Understandable. I was really looking forward to going to Las Vegas for this. Will the NFL attempt to have the draft in Las Vegas next year, and move Cleveland to 2022?
  6. Jocularity, jocularity.
  7. Yes, and had they signed him, then I think Kroft would have been cut. Walker would not be much of an upgrade, and I don't see the Bills drafting a Tight End this year.
  8. Believe me, we are also yelling for the picks to be announced, when they are wasting time with their fluff pieces.
  9. He's a player you sign as a last resort. It looks like the Bills have made their intentions known with the TE position, since they did not cut Kroft. I don't think we are adding another TE this off season.
  10. I would be just as entertained if that's all I saw at the draft. Even when the draft was at Madison Square Garden, it still wasn't as over hyped as it is now. Yes, there were lots of fans attending, but after the first round ended, most of the fans would leave. When I saw Taylor Swift at last year's draft in Nashville, that's when it dawned on me as to how much this event has changed.
  11. Or have the picks being handed out by R2-D2?
  12. Yes, it has. I love going to the draft because I have fun with all the fans who enjoy football. Ever since it became a travelling circus I have been amazed at the size of the crowds in attendance. You'd think it was the Super Bowl. One of the bad things about it is that most of these fans don't have a clue about the draft. I'll ask people who they want their team to pick, and most of the time the answer is "I don't know." Then there is the ridiculous emphasis that Goodell has with getting so much air time for picks to be announced. This causes the draft picks to pile up and takes a longer time for them to be announced. It's nice that they let actual fans announce picks, but they could do it much more swiftly. Then there is the time in between picks, primarily on Day 1, where the NFL feels that the audience needs to be entertained. So they put Colleen Wolfe and Michael Irvin on stage to keep the crowd excited. UGH! It is so painful to have to listen to Michael Irvin yelling all the time. I am hoping that the show will go on. I always have fun at the draft, but if it doesn't happen, I can always watch it on television. At least then I'll know that the picks will be announced at a better flow.
  13. In the war rooms on draft day, the GM's contact players by telephone. So, no, they will not be drafting them online.
  14. Now the Conference Tournaments have been canceled! https://www.si.com/college/2020/03/12/coronavirus-causes-conference-tournament-canceled-big-ten-aac-sec
  15. Ohio State will spurn him and Michigan will give him the chance to show what they missed out on.
  16. I'll take him over Tyler Kroft.
  17. I know you both wrote these comments three years ago, and this is off subject, but.....did you know that "Dune" is being re-made for a theatrical release in November? It's being directed by Denis Villeneuve, same director for "Arrival", "Blade Runner 2049", "Prisoners" & "Sicario". Sounds promising.
  18. They will also be keeping all the Oscars and other awards that Weinstein bought for them. Yeah, Gwyneth Paltrow won her Oscar for "Shakespeare In Love" because of her acting.
  19. Jordan Poyer? Does Rachel Bush work for ESPN now?
  20. I look back at the playoff game against Houston, and we settled for a field goal instead of going for the touchdown at the end of the first half. The offense was moving the ball, and the Bills started that drive on their own 4 yard line. Then for some reason, we let the clock run with over a minute to go, with 2 time outs. Imagine if they had scored a touchdown on that drive. The Texans defense would have been demoralized. I was very angry that we did that, and I thought it would come back to haunt us. Yes, the defense played bad late in the second half, but not going for a touchdown before halftime was a crucial missed opportunity that we did to ourselves. I like McDermott a lot, but I want to see him let the offense show that it can be relied on to score at will. I want to see the offense look the way they did in the Dallas game all season.
  21. Sounds like the one year prove it deal player that Beane covets.
  22. So his best days are behind him?
  23. I still want to know what the replacement officials were doing getting involved with this ruling. To my knowledge they had no business being a part of the game unless another official was injured.
  24. I voted 81-90, and I would personally put them at 90. I loved Beane's approach to free agency last season and he brought in some good players for us. Overall he has done a remarkable job. Yes, not every player he's brought in has been a home run, but he is doing everything he can to make the Bills a better team. McDermott's attitude that he brings to the team is fantastic, and the players have bought into the culture. The Bills have become an exciting team to watch again, and I believe that there is a lot more to look forward to and get excited about. To get into the 91-100 range, they have to win in the playoffs. Also, I want to see McDermott approach the game on offense with a killer instinct. My one and only criticism of him.
