And just think, Louisiana State plays UCLA this year, and they didn't need an alliance to make that happen.

Very pleased with Smith, Matakevich & Dodson. I think it is very likely that they will get their share of snaps this season, and not just on special teams. -

Bills and Steelers to get #2 CBS announcing team
Mark Vader replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess I'm in the minority, but I really like Jim Nantz as a football announcer. Even going back to when he was on Saturdays calling College Football games. I do agree that Kevin Harlan should be number 2 on the depth chart. How is Ian Eagle ahead of him? Harlan's voice is perfect for the game and he brings excitement to the game, especially on the radio. His play-by-play calls of fans running onto the field are epic. -

Maybe you could try hanging your clock in the bathroom again, then after you slip and hit your head you'll have another vision. This time it will be of the Bills winning the Super Bowl this season. -
A Few Thoughts About the Bears Game, in no particular order
Mark Vader replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Are we really going to keep a Fullback on the roster? Great write-up as always, Virgil. I see your point about Epenesa, but I think he's coming along fine. Meanwhile, watching Groot, I cannot believe what I am seeing. I was thrilled we drafted him. Told people had he not opted out, he would have been a top 15 pick. The series where he got the sack on Dalton was great, but if you watched him on the next two plays, look at the patience, discipline and not giving up. I don't want to get too excited, since it's only preseason, but man, the potential is there. I think you're being a bit rough on Basham. He had a much better game than the week before. Haack had an unimpressive day, but I agree, he's not going anywhere, and I'm not that concerned. I still find it odd that the Bills never signed another Punter and/or Kicker as camp bodies. Oddly enough I find myself very anxious to see who ends up being our back-up Linebackers. Smith, Matakevich, Dodson & Adams have all played very good this preseason. How about some love for Spencer Brown? Played a good amount and did not look like a liability. Just like Groot, the potential is there. -

Yes, that is me writing up those reports. During the lockdown and all the movie theatres being closed, there was no reason to write them for awhile. I thought about starting back up again since movies have steadily come back on a fairly regular basis, but I'll wait for the year to finish. I am very curious to see how "Dune" turns out. Denis Villeneuve is an outstanding director, and I've enjoyed all of his films. He seems like the right person to give that film a chance to be a hit.

@Virgil I always await your "Thoughts" thread, I find your takes to be great and it's fun to hear what other people see. I've had some good back-and-forth's with you as well. You do such a great job especially since you give yourself just a couple of hours to write everything up after the game has ended. I know how much time it takes to write up something so thoroughly. I go through the same thing when I write up my movie posts. Which by the way everyone, I will continue to do this again, but probably not until 2022 starts. Of course that's a monthly thing for me, not a weekly thing for yourself. Thanks for all the work you put into these takes, Virgil. I'm ready for the Bills to have a memorable season this year. Looking forward to reading your thoughts again. GO BILLS!!!

I know the feeling, my team has been frustrating the Hell out of me lately. Still, I love college football, just as much as professional. And the first couple of weeks of college is my favorite, because I love the big non-conference games. There are some good and fun match-ups too.... Miami(FL) Vs. Alabama Georgia Vs. Clemson. UCLA Vs. Louisiana State Florida State Vs. Notre Dame Ohio State Vs. Oregon Michigan Vs. Washington West Virginia Vs. Virginia Tech Penn State Vs. Auburn -

Peter King FMIA article feature Bills camp
Mark Vader replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Right on! I'll take this even further and talk about the Houston playoff game. Yeah, Josh Allen was still doing some hero ball, but that's not why the Bills lost the game. Settling for a field goal instead of going for a touchdown at the end of the first half was a terrible decision, and I put that on Sean McDermott. The Bills had gotten into the red zone on that drive and had plenty of time and timeouts to get into the end zone. Instead they played it safe and ended up with only 3 points. Then there's the second half kickoff, which it seems like everyone wants to ignore or doesn't acknowledge that it ever happened. Make no mistake, whether it was a touchdown or a safety, it was a huge non-call. I still want to know why the back-up officials were involved in this non-call. Let's not forget the BS block in the back penalty called on Cody Ford. Anyway, Peter King's article is nice, just not very insightful. He states the incredibly obvious. When he says that Josh Allen needs to do better in the big games, he means that he needs to do better against Kansas City. Josh Allen has won in big games, now he and the rest of the team have to play better against the Chiefs, and they can. -
