  1. What does covering Steve Smith have to do with going 17 for 41 for 192 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT? Was JP covering the Bears' WR's?
  2. The CFL doesn't count. And check out his record in SD. It's practically the reverse of what it was in Buffalo, replete with a 9-game losing streak.
  3. You saw those games as well?
  4. Did you see Grossman against the Packers or the Panthers in the playoffs last year? And don't call me Shirley.
  5. Talk about a jinx! Hey VA, wanna compare Drew's stats to JP's? Uh, VA? Where'd you go?
  6. Where? The CFL, Buffalo, or SD?
  7. You CAN'T be serious!
  8. Grossman had a 74.8 QB rating in 2003 and a 67.9 QB rating in 2004 (and a 59.7 rating last year). Suffice it to say that he was NOT better than JP his first 3 years. But it's amazing what being in the 2nd year of an offense can do for you. I mean it's a WELL KNOWN phenomenon that a team in the first years of a new offense and defense struggle. Hence the reason Grossman looked like crap last year and looks good THIS year, and why the Bears' defense looked like crap in 2004 and has been dominant the past 2 years.
  9. Grossman's play in his first 3 years, on the few occasions he's BEEN healthy, was no better than JP's first 2 years. The difference is that the Bears offense is in the 2nd year of their scheme and the Bears have an amazing defense.
  10. If it means anything to anyone, the Bears went 9-6 with Kyle Orton and his 59.7 QB rating last year.
  11. Well we can say that the Bills are as good as the Alexander-less Seahawks. They lost 37-6.
  12. It's that darn new math.
  13. It's idle talk and nothing more. Takeo wil be back soon enough.
  14. He's missed too much time during the season. Because of the late finals at OSU, he missed most of the OTA's. Then he missed a lot of training camp and pre-season with an injury and his mother's depth. Basically he's too far behind to make him worth activating, except due to injury.
  15. He's not ready yet. I agree with the poster who said save him for the Pats because it appears he should be ready to play next weekend, but why bother?
  16. The above is from Chris Brown's blog: http://buffalobills.com/blog/index.jsp?blogger_id=1 And yes, he's inactive.
  17. I think he did that not so much to finish-off the block, but to trash talk to KW. Everytime I see that play, I keep expecting KW to hurl Willis 10 yards down field as he gets up off the turf.
  18. The Bears run defense gives up 4 YPC. I think this is where the Bills will concentrate.
  19. I agree. Villy's getting long in the tooth and the Bills needed to replace him sooner rather than later. When sooner is now so let's see what the Duke has got.
  20. I wish the Bills had the Colts' or Rams' O-lines.
  21. Well to be fair, I think that Vincent realizes to some extent that a) the Bills did him a favor by keeping him around TO mentor the younger guys when another team probably would have cut him before the season started, and b) did him another favor by putting him on the "minor" IR, allowing him to go to another team after 6 weeks.
  22. Don't know.
  23. He's under no obligation to do anything after being placed on IR.
