  1. Marv's been trying to get back into the NFL as a COACH. And a good percentage of the "greatest fans" sold their tix to Pats fans, probably for a profit. That's pathetic for those who did that, while I salute those who actually showed up. As for the draft, I had no problem with who they took. You could hindsight and say "they could have drafted Mangold or Marcus McNeill," but they signed Fowler and McNeill was a surprise.
  2. What gets me is fans who live close enough to go to games and have the money, whine about how the owner isn't spending enough on coaches. What also gets me is seeing the stands filled with opposing teams' fans against the more popular opponents, because tix are cheap and they can make some money off of them. And another thing is that in the history of the Bills, there have only been 3 seasons in which tix were fully purchased by fans. This despite the Bills decreasing the stadium size by about 5,000 seats after the 1998 renovation. The sad reality is that with the new CBA giving more money to the players, once Ralph passes, few owners will spend upwards of $800M and keep the team in a market that can't support a new stadium, which is where the additional money is being made. Ralph bought the team for $25K so anything he makes is gravy. He's not making as much as Kraft was when HE threatened to move, or Modell when he DID move, Davis, Frontiere, etc. I've even given up hope for Golisano because that's a lot of coin without much return, which trumps sentimentality.
  3. Good coaching also changes things to minimize a player's weaknesses. So far I've been unimpressed with the offensive coaching staff's ability to do this, as well as make adjustments. Maybe as you said it's the newness of the system and the coaches being unfamiliar with the players.
  4. I just saw an article on NFL.com and it says that Seymour was injured late in the 2nd quarter. That might have had something to do with it.
  5. Wasn't Seymour out for much of the game?
  6. So WHO do you want, if not JP then? Abd Nall hadn't shown much, by his own admission, before getting hurt. I think he had one (relative to his previous performances) good day and then he got injured right after. And I think Leinart's shown (or not show as the case may be) enough to realize that he's not exactly the savior everyone was predicting. But I'd LOVE to have his WR's and RB.
  7. You want Nall starting? He couldn't even show enough for GB to avoid drafting a QB, keeping him on the roster, and beat out JP in training camp. And at best I'd say Holcomb could lead the Bills to 4 wins. But I doubt it would even be that much. He'd get killed behind this O-line, especially with a rookie protecting him. And as Dierdork was saying, there were a lot of plays were NO ONE was open.
  8. LOL! Who is the "sucker?" The one who keeps watching it for free and posting about it on a message board, or the people who actually GO to the games so slugs like you can watch it for free at home and whine about it? Maybe Ralph SHOULD move the team. God knows that with the "great" fans selling their tix for a profit to the popular teams' fans and shiit like this, he'd be better served in another market. It would suck, but I could totally understand it.
  9. One game? Hell the guy has been in the league for 12 years! And let's play "what if" and start Holcomb, and he leads the Bills to 4 more wins, giving the Bills a 6-10 record. What good does THAT do?
  10. His last game as a starter (against the Jets) showed me all I ever wanted to see from him.
  11. Anyone who wants the Bills to move, feel free to stop watching and get the fug off this board. Talk about retarded.
  12. There's a difference between being a better passer, a better runner, and a threat. Vick is the latter 2 because of his speed. As a passer, he leaves a lot to be desired. At least JP doesn't blame his OC or WR's for his problems.
  13. Looks like the only place Leinart has "it" is in his name.
  14. We should have drafted Leinart. He's looking GREAT against the Raiders.
  15. So...it's a team loss? That's what I've been saying. This is a bad team.
  16. Not sure what you're arguing here. Are you saying the Bills should/could have scored more than 28 points today?
  17. Check out how many times JH was sacked in first 2 years. Also see how much better his defense was than JP's is.
  18. Yep, that fumble ended the game. The 28 points the defense allowed wasn't the story. And how about that Harrington? It's not like the Packers are a good team and coming off a bye.
  19. I was being sarcastic. There was NO way the Bills were scoring more than 28 points on the Pats.
  20. Harrington was drafted in 2002. He was the pick right before Mike Williams.
  21. Harrington has been starting since his rookie season 4 years ago. Sorry.
  22. Yep, and his fault the defense gave up 28 points.
  23. Second coming? Nice try. At least I'm not hawking Holcomb. Harrington.
  24. Yep, and that's saying a lot. In Buffalo in the cold, he's toast. Get real.
