  1. It makes him a rookie who missed most of OTA's, training camp, and pre-season.
  2. Outstanding play by the defense and ST's is just that; outstanding play. The offense is what held the Bills back against Indy with LOUSY play.
  3. I'm calling BS. First of all, why would "geeks" care about who was behind them in line? Second of all, it's not like "their rule" was legally binding. Last of all, it took this "jock" to figure out that one person could leave the line and get food/drinks for the others? Okay.
  4. Hopefully it's something off which to build. I was encouraged by the performance of the defense and ST's. The offense I cannot evaluate given the O-line, but suffice it to say that when you keep hearing "and there was nobody open" on plays where JP gets sacked or has to throw the ball away, yo know the receivers aren't getting it done as well.
  5. Sorry, but farting while riding your Big Wheel/trike does NOT count as "gas powered."
  6. Maybe those are the best FA's the Bills could get? I mean when Ryan Pickett bypasses you for Green Bay, who most had left for dead in the off-season, you KNOW you're not the top place for FA's.
  7. WCW was owned by Ted Turner, so it had the financial backing to keep going forever. McMahon had been trying for years to buy them out and end the only real competition for pro wrestling that the then WWF had, but Turner wasn't budging. Finally Turner realized that WCW would never get any bigger and would have 2nd-rate characters/wrestlers/ratings/earnings and caved. And as for TNA, I agree that with their prime time slot now, they'll be ready to be bought-out soon enough.
  8. Since we all know this is fake, what good does "calling out VM" do? Are they hoping that VM will help script matches between the two "leagues?"
  9. Hindsight's wonderful, eh?
  10. "It's still real to me, dammit!"
  11. I thought it was spelled "aboot?"
  12. Vinny is having problems lying face-down on the floor?
  13. Aiken is bad, and Shaud is back to being activated and playing on ST's. Those were big boosts.
  14. I believe it that they were waiting until after the Indy game. Fat lot of good THAT did them. I wonder if watering FieldTurf before games in freezing temps will work as well as it did with grass?
  15. Looking at this further, Reyes started-off his first 4 games in 2004 (his second year) in Carolina at LG. He got hurt and when he returned, they put him at RG and kept him there for the next 24 games. Now since the Panthers have had a good O-line for years, I'd trust their OL evaluation skills (sorry McNally!) and say that Reyes would be best-served at RG and SHOULD be the starter at RG now. He's got more experience, if not more talent, than Preston, and at the least experience is what you want/need with a rookie like Pennington starting at RT. At LG, I'd be fine with Merz, again because Gandy is probably gone and proving not to be so great at LG. With the season essentially being over and JP getting the greenlight to move around, now's the time to start experimenting on the O-line.
  16. Woops, off by a bit because I misread it. His base salary for next year is $1.45M (the same as this year) and his amortized SB is almost $719K. So the cap savings is a bit over $700K. As for Merz, I heard he held his own in the Pats game and would like to see him at LG because Gandy is likely gone. I'd also like to see Reyes at RG. He's got experience that Preston lacks. It just doesn't make sense why he isn't the starter.
  17. Given-up 3.25 sacks. But the list is incorrect because he's signed through 2008.
  18. Where/when did he play? Near as I can tell, the Bills save just $300K by releasing Villarrial after the season. So they'll be just $33.3M under the cap.
  19. You got that right. I'd target one, like O'Hara (I'm assuming he's good) and call it a successful FA period for OL.
  20. Figures. Well here's his chance to get his wish.
  21. O'Hara might be a worthwhile pickup.
  22. Six of one, half a dozen of another. It's not like Flutie won with the Chargers, a team as devoid of talent as the Bills were post-2000.
  23. To me it seems like JP was told "stay in the pocket no matter what." Now he's being allowed to run if he needs to, which should help him and the offense out.
  24. At the time I didn't think it made sense, but learning that Reyes has been a healthy scratch, it seems to be more believable. Again, Reyes played RG for the Panthers; why not give him a shot THERE as the starter now that Villarrial is out?
