  1. Kubes was the prize HC'ing hire of the off-season and he got $5M/year Sherman as his OC. Hmmm.
  2. Nothing like that quote to kill a thread/conversation.
  3. Too bad he didn't show it today. I remember when players used to have class and respect for their opponent, no matter how bad they were.
  4. Well the coaches said that they liked Preston better because he was stronger than Reyes Either Preston got stronger, or Reyes is a wimp.

  6. Only if it's Tom Brady. Actually it's illegal to hit Tom Brady, period.
  7. Let me guess...JP should have thrown the TD with NO time left, so as to not leave open the possibility for a score on the ensuing KO?
  8. JF: I said in another post that guys like Reyes might be all the Bills CAN get. BaND: He said they don't like him. I substituted in the word hate. I think his work ethic sucked. At least the guys sucked at playing, but worked hard at doing it. BJ: Give JP time in the pocket and he'll beat you, assuming his WR's catch the ball. The Texans no more "shot themselves in the foot" than the Bills took it to them. It's not like the Texans are some great team, you know.
  9. WRT Quinn, I look at it this way. Matt Leinart was considered the best QB by many in this draft because of his pedigree, but even with 2 Pro Bowl WR's and a Pro Bowl RB, he's looked lousy. If things stood with the Bills the way they'd been prior to this game, Quinn would have been dead and looking no better than Carr has all these years (and I'd take Carr's group of receivers this year in a heartbeat).
  10. Good points. But how many dropped passes were there today, especially in the last few drives. Maddening.
  11. To follow-up on my "yes [Dun-ta is wrong]" response above, if JP gets even halfway decent protection, he can carve up a defense. Despite the line problems and overall record, he's been throwing for 61.3% prior to today, with more than a few dropped passes thrown in there. I don't know if the Texans' defense is that bad, or if the O-line is turning the corner now that Villarrial is out and the other guys have gotten more used to their new positions. BTW, I e-mailed Chris Brown and he said the coaches hate Reyes and made a mistake signing him. He'll be gone at the end of the year.
  12. I mentioned this in another thread, but on seeing the replay several times, I thought I saw the ball get tipped slightly at the line.

  14. JP sounds like a follower.
  15. On that pick, I coulda swore that I saw the ball get deflected just a tiny bit.
  16. More like Mike Sherman, the guy most wanted to be the Bills' next head coach.
  17. Forgive him. He's still in his teens.
  18. You're bucking for ignore status.
  19. Wait...there's still the KO.
  20. Too bad the same can be said for the adjustments to our offense.
  21. Wait, he DOES have a team around him?
