  1. See my above post. I was referring to the first 10 years of Elway's career, which removes most of the players above. I think that he, like Marino, didn't have as good of a team around him, but that once he did, he was able to win a SB. Marino had great receivers but no running game or defense.
  2. They get around it by not ATTENDING games.
  3. Well, unless he was worried about getting tackled by a sportwriter/photographer, there was no reason to "alligator arm" that pass.
  4. In Elway's defense, he never really had great "skill position" players around him. And his defenses were never that great either, until he SB years, despite having guys like Atwater and Simon Fletcher.
  5. Agree with more physical tools than most QB's in the NFL. Disagree with you that he lacks the mental ability. What you've seen against the Texans and Jags is what he can do with a little time in the pocket.
  6. Got any footage of this? I can't believe they'd put a 5'9" 195# guy on the O-line.
  7. Yes, but was Price in last weekend?
  8. Do any NFL cheerleaders get paid by their team?
  9. Interesting that the ref would actually say that to a player.
  10. I re-read the article and you're right. Still kind of hard to believe that they'd have Dielman ahead of Steinbach.
  11. I hope the money was worth it. And Levy never cared much for Moulds. He only got playing time AFTER Marv left, although that might have been a mistake (since Moulds might have been too immature in his first 2 years). No way he comes back even if he begs.
  12. I think that people in WNY know who the Bills are, how to get tix, and how many tix are left unsold. Someone's "lazy" and it's not the marketing department.
  13. What are you thinking? Get a Tom Brady jersey.
  14. I don't think the article meant to say that Dielman is better than Steinbach. But he could be a worthwhile pickup.
  15. It's the O-line and the shackles being taken-off JP WRT forcing him to stay in the pocket.
  16. I have no problem with the praying. It's the seat changes that get them rightfully tossed.
  17. Consider this as Youboty's redshirt year. But the Bills HAVE to re-sign Nate.
  18. Is a "chuck" anything like a chunk?
  19. He's a gunslinga, baby!
  20. Not exactly. The cap savings would be salary minus amortized bonus, which is $4.5M-$3.6M (roughly). But there is a provision in the new CBA where a team can release a player prior to June 1st and spread his bonus out over 2 seasons. So the Bills could save $2.7M. However given they will be $30M or so under the cap, they might want to just eat it all next year. That is IF they release him.
  21. Just an FYI, Spikes is signed through the end of 2008 and is scheduled to make $4.5M next year and $5M in 2008, with $1.8M in amortized bonus each year.
  22. Yeah, that inaccurate JP missed SEVEN passes to finish a horrible 75%!
